This is a little gem in the Mt. Baker area. The view of the city is great, the atmosphere is funky but comfortable and the food is always good. Prices are moderate and the wine list is quite good. Specials are usually just that-- special. We take guests here and they always enjoy it.

We eat here, on average, about once a month (over a 4 year period). Wonderful neighborhood Italian bistro. When the weather is good, there is outdoor dining. The best inside seats are the two tables at the back windows overlooking the Seattle skyline, Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains (ASK FOR THESE !!!). The food is the best feature of That's Amore, rating 6 stars on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. Dawn and Paul go out the way to provide a terrific experience. On May 4, I had a fresh, WILD salmon with a berry sauce and polenta that was terrific. My wife had a pasta dish which T.A. does very well. We shared a spinach salad that was a perfect complement to the main courses. Cost (no alcohol) was about $60 and worth every penny. Go eat there.

The service here is consistently great! The team is friendly and the good is delicious every time.

Great food at Reasonable Prices
This is a favorite neighborhood restaurant. The service is friendly and attentive. Wonderful Italian food with fresh rosemary bread, delicious salads, excellent pasta and a view over the city to Elliott Bay. The prices are reasonable too. Make a reservation and ask to sit near the window. Be aware that it is a western exposure and can be quite sunny. It is actually better on a cloudy day. This is not a hot spot for young singles with lots of mirrors and loud music. It is more about the food and is a real delight for those who wish to avoid the trendy scene.

Great food, great view!
Another great night at That's Amore! The food is always great and the table by the back window has an incredible view of the city. Service is always wonderful!!

The view from this little neighborhood gem of a restaurant is spectacular of the city, sound and mountains.
I have never been a really big lover of pasta. However the potato gnocchi that accompanied my perfectly cooked pork chop was extremely tasty.
I would definitely recommend Amore Italian Restaurant to my friends.
Try to get a table next to the large picture windows especially if you are bringing friends from out of town.

Made Our Anniversary Special
My wife and I were treated to a romantic anniversary dinner. The food and service were excellent. An amazing dining experience overall.

The food was fantastic and the service was friendly and accomodating. Most authentic Italian I have had so far in Seattle!

Good food. Service good be better
Very good food at reasonable prices. Short but very good wine list. Understaffed. Sat for 15 minutes waiting for water at the beginning, another 20 minutes waiting to pay at the end.

Rediscovered an old friend
My family and I recently dined at That's Amore after many years. When my children were young it was our go-to place for a Sunday afternoon meal because of it's family friendliness. Going back was like reuniting with a long lost friend - you don't know why or how you lost touch but you're glad to have found each other again. We were able to eat outside on a warm, sunny Seattle evening, and the food was great! Service was even better. We will definitely return soon.

We had one of the best restaurant meals here - from start to finish. And our server was an absolute pro! This restaurant needs to be acknowledged in the food community as a really fine establishment. The pastas were delicate and handmade. The seasonings were gutsy but not overpowering. Presentation was wonderful. Very generous portions were served. And the view of the city and Sound was wonderful. Highly recommend this restaurant.

What a wonderful surprise!
The restaurant is in a neighborhood. We were a party of 6 and everything was delicious! We had evening specials, simple pasta, and Chicken Parmesan. The bread is made there (we tried to buy a loaf because it was so yummy!). The service was excellent. Would definitely recommend!

Delicious Food, Friendly Service
As visitors to Seattle, we discovered this restaurant through Open Table. What a delight! The food was fantastic, so fresh tasting and exquisitely prepared. Our server was so hospitable, we really felt at home here in this charming establishment. As it happens, it is perched on a hill overlooking the city. As the evening came on, so did the twinkling lights below. Really nice! If you are not there for the view, though, there is outdoor dining on the quiet, treesy street out front, also a nice setting. If we lived anywhere near Seattle, we would return here again and again!

I have been patronizing That's Amore for years and I am NEVER disappointed. It is a must go for anyone visiting me from out
of town. It is ALWAYS a hit. The food is fabulous ALWAYS. Best Ceasar salad I have ever eaten anywhere! It is a place that is just always consistently fabulous.

Great Time on First Visit
First time to That's Amore. We really enjoyed it. The food was good and the service was great. Had a window table with a wonderful view over towards the city. Would definitely go again.

Our new Favorite! Great view!
We discovered That's Amore on open table, turns out its very close to our house. What a hidden gem! Great views, I would request a table by the window to enjoy it! Good was outstanding, wonderful Caesar salad as well as the pear salad. My kids loved the pizza & Italian sodas. Jill was our server & was awesome. We will definitely be regulars here!

Dining Before Theater
This is our second time here. We had requested a window table which overlooked the city - beautiful. Antipasto was perfect size for two and had a nice variety of fruit. Good bread with olive oil and balsamic dipping. Had a saffron risotto with seafood which was very tasty but would have preferred just a bit less lemon. The other entree was pork steak, thick cut and perfectly prepared - juicy and tender - with gnocchi. Dessert was a raspberry almond torte which was just right to share after the substantial entrees. Entire dining experience was just over an hour and gave us plenty of time to get downtown for our theater opening. Parking was very convenient - we found a space just outside the front door. Great food, service and ambiance.

We had not been at That's Amore restaurant for several months, so coming back and seeing all the specials they offered was a great experience. Food was delicious and service staff great!
9/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
I love the quiet intimate feel to this place and the view of the city. Last visit we all had the specials and loved them all. The pasta, polenta, and gnocchi were all made there. My daughter loved her saffron risotto with seafood. My chicken with prosciutto and gnocchi was covered in a variety of wild mushrooms. We enjoy their regular menu, too.My husband loves their homemade meatballs. It is situated in a residential neighborhood and tricky to find the first time you go there but definitely worth finding. It is a shame that the outdoor area can't be in the back where the view is but they are on a hillside. This is one of our very favorite places.

What a Great Find!
When I took my girlfriend out for dinner and I started heading to Ranier from the Eastside, she was pretty skeptical. The food was outstanding, and the view is one of the best around. All the reviews here are completely accurate. The food is extra fresh and packed with flavor, the parking is easy, and the service is genuinely friendly. We can't wait to go back for more and try more of the menu! Hint: Ask for table 7. It's worth it!

great Italian, cozy, with view!
This neighborhood restaurant has been here for a while and it's such a treat to have a place convenient to Leschi, Mt. Baker, Madrona, Central District where the parking is easy, there's a fab view of downtown, and tons of free parking. Service simply could not be better; when my friend and I were deciding about whether to have salad before our meals, she offered to split a salad for us and it was perfection -- greens super-fresh and every ingredient balanced. Wine list is great and it's a great place to talk because there's enough noise (of happy diners) for privacy, yet still quiet enough to really hear one another. My friend had the prawns-pasta-puttanesca dish and said it was excellent, took home half of it. Love this place!

Great view at back of restaurant
I was a little sad to have reserved a window seat and somehow another pair w/o a reservation got the window seat---but I quickly got over my bitterness with the great wine and food they serve. Food is delicious.
10/18/2013 12:00:00 AM
I don't understand why That's Amore isn't more widely known around Seattle - it is one of the better restaurants in town. Consistently good food and service, and frequently outstanding dishes made with local fresh ingredients. And the view is outstanding!

I really liked the women who spoke to us and served us!

The wife is a picky eater
The wife is a picky eater and she said her food tasted a little salty. She also says she wants to go back and eat there again, which is a first.

I made a reservation for dinner for myself, my sister and 2 nieces. We booked an early reservation and had the best view in the house. The hostess/waitress was courteous and friendly. The food was excellent I had the tortellini special and my sis had the chicken piccatta and the girls had the kid friendly friendly noodles with partisan cheese. I would go back try more of their tasty dishes!

Delicious food and amazing service!
We happened to spot this place in the list and it was close to our house so we decided to try it out. Tucked away in a neighborhood is this hidden gem! The food is delicious and the city view is wonderful at night (hint ask for tables 7-9 for the view). What makes this place somewhere we will come again and again is the spectacular service. They were some of the most friendly and genuine people I have encountered in a long time. They make you feel like family from the first moment you walk in. They even gave us complimentary dessert to take home since we were first time customers.
Do yourself a favor - have dinner at That's Amore!
