Nestled in the Four Seasons
Nestled in the Four Seasons at Vail you would think the Flame would deliver a fabulous dinner, and they did not disappoint. The steaks cooked at 1800 degree F leaves the meat juicy, and flavorful without charing the outside. Their signature sauces add a unique flavoring to steak, and their Banana Foster desert is sublime. Highly recommended for an outstanding meal in an intimate setting.

I just spent 5 days in Vail
I just spent 5 days in Vail and Flame was my favorite dinner spot. Elegant room yet very casual at the same time. The food was top notch. We started with the elk "corn dogs" which were delicious and unusual. Then I had the buffalo ribeye which was cooked to perfection and the best buffalo steak that I have ever eaten. I ended the meal with a chocolate souffle to die for! I will go back for certain!

Four Seasons Does A Steak Good
Great addition to Vail restaurant scene. But very noisy and restaurant wasn't even full. Food was great!

Flame - Lights Fire for this Foodie
What a fun dining experience. The menu was whimsical but steeped in classic dishes with a twist. I ordered a filet with the accompanying flight of sauces. Each sauce opened a new flavor profile on the steak. The lobster mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. The Iconoclast cab-sav was a winner. The maple and bacon doughnuts should not be missed. Our server was knowledgeable and guided us to the best choices. The meal was extremely pricey but delicious!

This was an anniversary meal.
This was an anniversary meal. The steak was excellent and the service was very good. I could have done with the $19 martini as I don't like feeling ripped off via my bar tab. The restaurant was not very impressive looking and it was a pretty special occasion so I think we were hoping for something that looked and felt a little nicer. For the prices they charged I would have thought it was a palace!

On Fire for Flame
The food was very good. We both had steaks and both the 6 ounce filet and the 12 ounce bone in filet were very good. The maple and bacon donuts for dessert were fantastic. Be sure and try them, you will love them. The dinner was made most memorable by our waiter Nicholas. He was charming. We loved his french accent and he gave us so much great information about the Vail area as well as information regarding a trip to France we are planning. The restaurant was not too busy, so he spent a lot of time with us and he was great !!! A real asset to Flames. We hope they know how lucky they are to have him, since a waiter can really make or break you dining experience.

We were almost the only ones in the entire dining area. Fodd was very good. As is often the case in Vail, once you are served your meal, you are essentially abandoned- which was very puzzling considering the slow night.

Unforgettable is chef tasting!
Chef Jason is awesome and personable. Immediately, upon entering the staff was welcoming. The food was phenomenal and my taste buds were inspired

We were familiar with the Four Seasons in downtown Denver and decided to try a stay at the one in Vail. We were blown away with the dining experience at Flame. We dine out fairly often and haven't had as awesome experience as the one we had at Flame. The food was extraordinary as was the service. We now will judge all other dining experiences with the one at Flame. We now have a new favorite restaurant in Vail. From the hostess, to the server, to the sommelier, we were treated like royalty. We can hardly wait to return and dine there again.

Fine Dining at It's Best
It's a Four Seasons and that says it all. However, I'll add that the filet mignon steaks were absolute perfection. They are served with your choice of "rubs" (we had the mushrooms) and were served with 6 dipping sauces which all added to the enjoyment. I hated to see the meal end. The service was just what you would expect from a 5-star restaurant. Of course it's pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Very pleased we tried it.
We had a wonderful meal that was very well paced. We had never been and all of the recommendations we received from our waiter were excellent. The "long bone" ribeye was a treat for the eyes and taste buds. All of the staff were very cordial and we were personally greeted by name by the exec chef. We will return.

One Word: AMAZING
We really enjoyed date night at Flame. The chef, sous chef and sommelier were so attentive and gave great recommendations! The dining experience was exquisite. We started out with the Elk corn dogs, which were excellent. We went on to the Tomato Buratta. That dish is a must for all meals. We loved our soups; pumpkin soup and onion soup. When you dine with your friends, get the Wagyu cut; it melts in your mouth! Any of the desserts would be a perfect ending to a perfect meal. We loved it and can't wait to return.

Our waiter was excellent and his recommendations were right on target. The entres were wonderful and the overall experiance was exactly what was expected at a gourmet restaurant at a Four Seasons. I highly recommend this eatery.

This is a great restaurant hidden away in the Four Seasons hotel. We are glad we found it. The steak was amazing as was the carpaccio. The service was over the top and each were super friendly. Probably my favorite waitress of the week!

We ordered 4 different steaks and had them carve them table-side for all of us to try. The quality of the meat ranged from beyond outstanding (Kobe) to somewhat disappointing (house filet). Overall, I would say the meat here get's a slightly above average rating compared to the other prime steakhouses I have visited.
I did feel like the pricing was very reasonable, considering this was Vail, CO and it was a restaurant in the Four Seasons. I'm not sure if the prices in the summer are less than the winter, however. The sides were hit and miss, but the deserts were quite good.

This was the first time for me to eat at The Flame. The end of August is a quiet time in Vail, so there were many open tables in the restaurant. The food and service were the best I had in over two weeks in Vail. My new favorite restaurant.

Great food, great atmosphere, in an amazing new hotel. My Wagyu Steak lived up to my expectations and was prepared perfectly. Its great to see some creative options and combinations at a high end steakhouse. I very much enjoyed the contemporary and relaxed vibe. I'm so thankful to see an increase in quality high end dining options in Vail. Flame is a welcome addition and my new go to place for a steak.

Flame Was Great
Flame was amazing! The food and wine was some of the best I have ever had. The attention to detail brought something new to the food choices. A steak that melted in your mouth, paired with an excellent red wine and excellent service made for one amazing experience. The waitress provided an in depth knowledge of the menu and knew exactly what to suggest. She even upgraded our wine selection and no additional charge. A quiet and private table made for a very romantic evening with my wife. The menu was expensive but the quality justified the expense. Flame is a restaurant I would definitely come back to for special occasions and recommend to my friends!!

The S'Mores is definitely the top dessert! So wonderful - more like chocolate mousse than "ice cream". The goat cheese cheesecake is also good if you are adventurous. Not your traditional piece of cheesecake, rather, 5 little domes of cheesecake with plums and a spot of honeycomb. Very good coffee as well. Nice place for a special date.

Excellent Steakhouse in Vail
The steaks were absolutely delicious and the service was perfect. Exec Chef Jason is an incredible chef. You have to try their pumpkin soup....OMG

Great place to get an even better steak. You must try the wagyu ribeye for 2, if it is featured.

Elk corn dogs
I don't know what they put in those things, but whatever it was it was DELICIOUS! And then the truffle Mac and cheese was unreal -- sooooo good. Awesome tender steaks! Overall a fantastic meal.

Thanksgiving at Four Seasons Vail
We had a great Thanksgiving dinner at Flame in the Four Seasons at Vail. Loved the hotel and the restaurant and really enjoyed our holiday meal at this restaurant. The food was all traditional Thanksgiving dishes buffet style and very well done. Dishes were simply prepared with all the classic offerings. Service was also very good even with the buffet servings. Overall we had a very nice holiday meal and would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting an upscale dining experience. The only downside was the desserts as these were not impressive. We wished the restaurant would have offered more classic Thanksgiving desserts in traditional style rather than the mini individual desserts.

Attended for a very nice Thanksgiving buffet. All the traditional items with a few twists that enhanced the flavor and/or presentation. Very nice.
