Great food. Good, friendly
Great food. Good, friendly service. The lasagna is always a favorite and no one else around makes it as good as they do.

Best Service, worst Minestrone Ever
As always the atmosphere and service were exemplary. 2 of us had the Chicken Cesar Wrap wonderfully moist, the flatbread was soft and flavorful and the warmed Cesar vinigrette was delicious. Our third had the Salmon panini, and she was talking about it the next day. But for the first time, I was disappointed. I LOVE minestrone soup, I actually make it at home at least 3 times a month year round (I LOVE IT). I was really looking forward to trying the minestrone and when the cup came...I was really disappointed. I couldn't even eat it...I tasted it, and yes...it was a flavorful soup, too thick, too much tomato, no pasta..sorry not minestrone..might be me...but never again.

We came on a Saturday evening
We came on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was only half filled. Yet our server seemed to have most of the tables in the room. Possibly as a consequence, he never gave us the specials, and the delay between the salads and the entrees was inexplicably long. The rigatoni was good, but not great. The filo wrapped salmon was excellent, as was the budino dessert. The food is always good here, but they really need more staffing.

Despite the decoration looks
Despite the decoration looks moderate and the entrance area seems empty (I believe their table setting created this impression), the food is awesome! I love the lasagna. Not the typical lasagna you'd have at other Italian restaurant but it just tastes Great! A must-go-back place!

Great service and good food.
Great service and good food. A bit disappointed in the sauce on the side of pasta, no taste at all, but the fresh pasta itself was tasty.

Great first Mother's Day Brunch
This was their first Mother's Day Brunch offering. Lots of varied selections, sweet and savory choices. Handled it well, very attentive, friendly staff.

Filo wrapped salmon is excellent
Pasta is great also, and the brussel sprout salad was delicious. Nice Barberas on the wine list, too.

Need to work on the finer points
The food here is consistently excellent. For an Italian restaurant, they have a small menu, but everything on it is well-prepared. The restaurant used to be overmatched on weekends and they have added more staff. However, the staff needs to learn not to call women "guys" and not to ask "if you're still working on that" in order to be considered a four-star restaurant. Also, they ran out of one of their wine selections early on a Saturday night; that really should not happen except late on a Sunday evening, if at all.

On the "Passport" list.
They treat you like a friend. Enjoyable dining at a reasonable price. The interior is first class...sidewalk dining is also available I will recommend to my friends.

love the food
the food is so good! tastey and flavorful to the last bite. Also the house red wine is outstanding for just a table wine. The deserts are delictable and sinful :-)

Another enjoyable meal
Service is excellent from beginning to end. Enjoyed splitting the brussel sprouts appetizer and house salad. Excellent. The lasagna was great. Need to try the other choices that look so good, but we love the lasagna too much.

Love this place
The food at Forno Vecchio is always great, authentically Italian with occasional local twists (e.g., saturday night's pumpkin tiramisu). We started with complimentary bruschetta, bread still toasty warm, continued with wedge salad (simple but tasty) then our foursome had: lasagna, rigatoni, spicy gnocchi, and grilled salmon. All were temperature hot, clearly fresh from the stove and oven (I hate when entrees are served warm or lukewarm). Comfort food with excellent subtleties. All dinners were generous portions.
And, of course, the service is professional, yet fun, because Augustine took great care of us, as usual. He has been the main server at this restaurant for years, and is a gem.
