A menu with interesting selections
A menu with interesting selections and combinations. All of our selections were very tasty, though some so rich with cream that a little went a long way. Definitely worth exploring.

We came in from out of town
We came in from out of town for Easter Brunch and it was awesome. Brunch buffet included something for every foodie in our family - french toast, fruit, quiche, and a yummy lamb stew! Hostess, sous-chef and waitress were very warm, friendly and conversational. Overall, it felt like an intimate family gathering. The restaurant was full but the ambiance was calm and inviting. Location is kind of tucked back from the road. Would highly recommend for brunch.

We really enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food at Pearl Bistro. The staff was attentive but not overbearing. It reminded us of the time we spent in Europe; we felt as though we "owned the table" for the evening, which was a welcomed change for us. We will definitely go back and will recommend it to friends as well.

We continue to dine at the Pearl, it seems the more we go, the more we find to like, their sandwich menu is really wonderful!!!

Pearl Bistro is one of the cities hidden restaurant gems. The food is consistently fresh, seasonal and paired excellently with a wine list that changes as well. Atmosphere is perfect for dinner and conversation vs so many restaurants that while the food is great - one cannot hear themselves think.
BTW - Desserts, Special Brunches and Wine tastings are a must!

Great first visit
My husband and I had lunch at Pearl Bistro last week. It was our first visit and we would definitely go back. I had the special which was meatballs and linguine. It came with a salad. My husband had the French connection which he absolutely loved. He thought it was one of the best sandwiches he ever had. It is a smaller venue so I recommend reservations but location is easy to find. It was a nice change from the chains for lunch. Give it a try!

Marvelous neighborhood spot. Everyone should try it and decide for themselves.

great food a little on the unique side, nice change of pace from the hussle/bussle of most places - you can actually have a conversation!! - points "pending" was new to me & a little confusing but Susan (the owner) went the extra mile, found out (as she didn't know either) & explained it to me - thanks :)

Epitome of Neighborhood Restaurant
Pearl Bistro is the epitome of the great neighborhood restaurant: a warm cozy atmosphere, clear hands-on involvement by the chef and host; and a moderate-sized menu with a mix of standards and interesting new choices. For example, for starters we tried the goat-cheese stuffed, bacon-wrapped dates (thumbs up!) but had also been tempted by the "kalesadilla," or the chip mix (potato, sweet potato, and beets). The artichoke, chicken, kale and shrimp pasta was wonderful - I seldom order pastas in restaurants because they tend to be bland and tasteless but I somehow knew this one wouldn't be...and it did not disappoint. The changing "dessert of the day" was a nice touch, too. Last not least, prices are moderate - a great value!

not as good as usual this time
It's my favoite restaurant but my wife is lukewarm. We've been six or seven times and I've always enjoyed what I ordered, while she almost always has an item she dislikes, This time the brocoli seem to be soaked in bullion so brown and very salty. I thought the fish florentine was outstanding. They have their own herb garden in planters so freshly cut can be potent. On week nights the owner may be the only waitress so when she gets busy it can be a little slow.

I will say I tried Pearls after reading all the great reviews about it. The remaki was outstanding. Jack and Larry after hours...outstanding. Potroast...outstanding. All of the food we had there was exceptional. The owner came out and asked about my entree...if it was too my liking and all...a very nice touch. After having such great entrees I decided I would have desert...which I never do....The Raspberry/Lemon cake...horrible. It was extremely dry and I had to choke it down.
That being said, I will be going back because the main courses and sides are awesome. I just would not recommend the desert.

Nice Hidden Gem
Pearl Bistro is a great little off-the-beaten path restaurant. It is located in a small strip mall near the back so traffic noise isn't a problem. The food is mostly French fare, but they have some American items as well. The wine list is ample and they do have a nicely stocked bar. This restaurant is a great place to visit if you want a nice, quiet, and romantic evening out. The service is excellent and the staff makes an effort to ensure that you have everything you need to have a great experience while dining. The food portions are good and the desserts are awesome (I recommend the 6-layer Grand Marnier chocolate cake). Prices are average for a fine dining experience. Overall, a very good dining experience.

The food was good. There were 3 menu items that they were out of, and those items would have been some that we would have ordered. I assume that the owner was the one who was waiting our table, and she was "hurried" (said I am all alone here tonight), and made assumptions that should not have been made. At one point she got a down right frustrated look when we asked for something after dinner had been served. (that is when she informed us she was the only one for serving).
The date appetizer was excellent, the beet salad was excellent, and the home made chips were excellent.

Favorite quiet spot
Pearl Bistro is a wonderfully quiet spot for a terrific meal. Great food and a personal touch from the owner.

Don't Miss Pearl Bistro!
Pearl Bistro is a surprisingly charming little restaurant in an unlikely location. The variety of menu choices (including home made soups and salad dressings) is excellent, as is the food. Service is attentive; and the owner came by to be sure we were pleased with our food and wine selections. Pearl Bistro is located toward the back of a strip mall at 86th and Ditch, but is well worth the search to find it!

Always enjoy Pearl's
Great place to have dinner with friends when you want wonderful food, to interact with owner/chef and be able to have a conversation with friends without screaming over music. Everything is made from scratch (or most everything) with a wide range of price options.

Quaint setting for delicious food
Nice and warm on a cold winters night. Pleasant, comfortable and inviting setting in a suburban strip mall. Great tasting food; not too expensive, good selection. Just right portions. Lots of fun with friends. Will be back!

We dined on a snowy night and the restaurant was not very busy. The service was very friendly and you definitely got the feeling that it is a family run operation. The food was excellent, from the appetizers through the dessert. The Beef Bourguignon was wonderful and the beef sourced from Fischer farms. The salmon and pork chops ordered by others in our party got rave reviews. We shared a chocolate cake that was a perfect ending to the meal. Be sure to try the chip mix made with Idaho potatoes, sweet potatoes and beets. On top of all of this, prices were very reasonable. We will definitely make another visit.
