I was very impressed. I didn't realize Tulsa had such a place. Great food - good, friendly service. I will be back and will bring friends.

Wonderful experience. Only
Wonderful experience. Only one very minor complaint...kosher salt on scallops and salmon was a little too coarse...really wasn't over seasoned, just bit down on a piece of salt sometimes on these 2 dishes.
Salmon was melt-in-your mouth awesome!

The lamb was very good. The last couple of times we have found their cake slices to be dry. Not sure if they are over baked or have just sit out too long.

We went there for lunch on Friday and had the Mexican buffet.

First class dinner
Great opportunity to have a very nice dinner while helping aspiring Chefs learn their trade in a real world enviroment. Good food, good service, and a good price. I strongly recommend eating here if you havent already. They do an awesome job. and the deserts are just out of this world. I will be back.

Excellent food and service.
I would have given the food 4.5 stars, but since that was not available, I felt it was closer to five than four stars. Very good. We ordered from the dinner menu. The only thing I wasn't real crazy about was the lemon blueberry trifle (which was actually served as lemon-strawberry). It was a little too tart for my taste and simply didn't stand out the way the other foods did. However, everything else our group tried was very good. We tried various dishes and tasted each other's, since it was the first time we had tried this restaurant. The stuffed portabella mushroom was "to die for", and so was the bone-in pork chop. The service was also outstanding. We also enjoyed the samples of new items they brought out to our table to try.

Upscale Dining at a Great Value
Foundations is a restaurant run by the culinary school at Platt College so I really enjoy supporting their efforts. Fortunately you are then rewarded by eating their wonderful food at incredibly reasonable prices.
A 4-course dinner along with a sizable Foie Gras Crostini amuse bouche for $24 is an amazing deal. The quality of the products used, the cooking and the presentation of the plates are all top notch.

My husband and I have been to Foundations twice now and the food, experience and service are impeccable. We love the food and trying new things we might not have otherwise tried somewhere else. Our last visit we brought our teenage girls (19, 16) and they were taken on a tour of the facilities, our youngest daughter who is an aspiring baker absolutely loved getting to see the kitchens and sampling goodies that were just coming out of the bakery. Overall I think Foundations Restaurant is Tulsa's hidden gem and we will be coming back again.

Really, really good food.
Really, really good food. service can be hit or miss. wine list is really remarkable, a nice mix of California and international wines. Surprisingly good and can't possibly be beat for $28/5 courses.

Food selection was outstanding as was the food once prepared. Service was good. Chairs are hard, they need cushions. All in all, I have recommended it several times and will return soon.

Up to Foundations standards ...
I have eaten at Fundations for dinner many times and this was my virst during lunch. I took a guest and T food was great.
Nice selection and all main items were kept filled and warm or hot as required.
Were we lucky, our reservations were for 11:30 AM and we arrived about 10 minutes early when only a few people were arriving. Lucky us, just 15 minutes later the flood of people started coming in.,( they sure know a good value) By 12 noon the place was just about full and a LONG line at the sevice area. Suggestion: If you are going for lunch on a Friday, make an early reservation.

Foundations is run by Platt College culinary students. They cook, wait tables, etc. The food is creative. The dinner is either a three, four, or five course selection of your choice. They also bring a canape, sorbet to cleanse your palate, and tasty bread. It is so reasonably priced and creative menu items. Would highly recommend!

Nice Quiet Evening
The four of us had a very relaxing evening at Foundations. With so many to wait on us and very few diners, the service was outstanding. We had lamb, scallops and beef, allowing us to try a variety of dishes. All agreed the lamb and scallops were yummy, however, the steak was a bit dry. (Perhaps, we should have ordered it medium rare rather than medium?)
To find a wine to go with our steaks, we were given three cabs to sample...what a treat! Three in our party had blueberry cobbler. The crust was crisp on the top and the berries juicy. All three "mmmed" when they tasted their first bite. I had the cantelope granite and wouldn't have traded it for all three of the cobblers. How refreshing the cantelope sorbet, perfect with the granite.

Platt College's Foundations Restaur
Seasonal menu, good wine list, eager students. It's a fun place to just see what the students are creating. It's reasonably priced for a nice dinner where they really want to please you!

My new favorite fine dining spot!
Wonderful, creative and delicious offerings. I so enjoy having multiple courses and not being so stuffed and overwhelmed with huge servings that I can't enjoy your fabulous desserts. We love the quiet atmosphere.
Our only wish is that the chairs had cushions. I always bring my own but when we come next time. I'll bring one for my husband too.

First time to eat here and I can't wait to go back. The food was great and it was nice to support the students in this way. There was nice soft music playing so we were able to visit and thoroughly enjoy the evening.

Great food at a great price
Foundations is the restaurant where students from Platt College Culinary Institute cook and serve food as part of their curriculum. As a result you get a unique, interesting selection of foods at a great price. I have been twice for Friday lunch which cost a flat $9 for all you can eat buffet. The theme changes every week and has included Italian, Mexican, BBQ and Cajun. The food was excellent both times, and others in my group agreed. Apparently only certain days are buffet style, other days (and also for dinner) they have a regular menu you order from. My wife and I will be checking that out for dinner sometime soon. Check this place out, it is a unique experience at a great value.

Go for the cuisine and the service, and know you're also helping train the next gen haute cuisine chefs for Tulsa.

My Wife's Birthday Dinner
We had heard a few things about Foundations in Tulsa so my wife chose the restaurant for her birthday. We had a great experience with the staff greeting us and seating us. They had a three course option, a four course option and a five course option that included dessert. My wife ordered a five course with dessert and she simply loved it. Her beef was tender, veggies were crisp but cooked while I ordered the trout that was cooked to perfection. We both had the onion soup and raved about it. There was an appetizer as well. All of this at what we considered a reasonable price. We highly recommend it and definitely plan on returning.

I seized the opportunity to help the local community food bank as well as treat two couples to celebrate their recent nuptials. The overall experience was superb. The only drawback to the evening was the steaks for the 3 of us were undercooked. We enjoyed them regardless and had a wonderful time. We will return, however I'll order my steak medium well next time. I certainly could no complain about the value. Kudos to Foundations.

Sleeper of a restaurant !
My wife and I have been wanting to try this restaurant at the Platt Culinary school and were very impressed. From walking through the door to leaving it was a great meal. The staff and students were friendly, and most important to us, is kids are welcome, more specifically, our 11 month old. Our student server was very knowledgeable about ingredients and when asked if we could do something special for our 11 month old, he was accommodated. All in all a great first impression and we are already looking forward to dinner.

My Manager and I went on a Thursday night as a commendation for my 10 years of service. The food was brilliant! My manager, from Houston, experienced the scallops for the appetizer and was immediately impressed. The service was slow and due to that, the food was off temperature at times. You could tell the entree had been sitting for a bit.
