The food is always fabulous
The food is always fabulous at Yekta! The expanded space is so much nicer than the old restaurant but the food did not change at all, still delicious every time.

A Happy Find!
Beautifully decorative Persian restaurant, offering well-preapred kebab platters along with other more unfamiliar (to me) but interesting dishes...Reasonably priced. Good to have another option in the neighborhood! Will definitely return.

Good Kabobs, Reasonable Prices
Our dining experience was excellent. Appetizers were very good - recommend the eggplant and dolmehs. We had lamb, chicken and steak kabobs. The lamb and chicken were very tender and flavorful. The steak was not quite as tender, but still good. The wine (I enjoyed the house red) and beer list are pretty good. The service was excellent. Food was served in a timely manner, the staff were very pleasnt and the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

Celebrated birthday with a
Celebrated birthday with a large party of 14 people and it was the first time at the restaurant for all of us. Started off with an assortment of hummus, eggplant dip, yogurt dip, grape leaves, and shirazi salad, which was served with warm pita and flat tortilla-like bread. Everyone got some sort of grilled kabob (veggie, beef, chicken, salmon) for their entrees. All the meats were very tender and we raved throughout the night about how deliciousness of the food. The service was excellent and we will all definitely be returning for one of the best Persian food in the DMV area.

The restaurant itself is beautiful.
The restaurant itself is beautiful. I had asked that onions be left out of my salad. A little while later, the waiter came back and told me that my kabob had onions and was that OK - it was, but I appreciated his concern. Unfortunately, I live in Virginia (30 miles away), or I would be a regular at this restaurant. I apologize for not letting the restaurant know about our Open Table reservation. Most tables were empty when we arrived, so I didn't think it was necessary. My mistake.

We went to this restaurant
We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of the someone at the local BMW dealership. Excellent service, modest wine list, great appetizers. The main course and vegetables were less stellar but good nonetheless. I would go again, and recommend it.

After the appetizer (Kizartma) I wanted to order the entire menu. Had the Kabob trio with yogurt sauce and side of grilled veggies. I wish it was an endless plate it was that good. Nice place for being in a strip mall. This place should be in NYC or LA but I am glad it's where it is so I can go every time I am here for work.

Yekta in number one
this is among the best Persian restaurants in the area. And the market next door let's you pick up goodies to take home. Relaxed atmosphere, authentic Persian dishes, and great friendly service.

The food was different, but average. The room was well decorated, but as soon as it filled up it was very difficult to converse. Sorry to see no liquor license, and they refused to pour a half ounce taste of a wine to see if I would like it. Unusual to see that these days, if the wine is available by the glass, as this one was. A good place to go for something different if you live near there.

Good first visit
This was our first time at this restaurant and we loved it--there were six of us. Starters kashke bademjan and dolmeh are the tastiest. Main dishes are standard Iranian fare but of a higher quality. All this is complemented with a fairly good selection of beer and wine.

We had a great dinner at Yekta.
We had a great dinner at Yekta. I took a friend there for her birthday and casually mentioned while we were ordering that she should knock herself out because it was her birthday. The food was delicious--I recommend the salmon kabob with its generous side of veggies and the grape leaves were among the best I've ever had. At the end of the meal, our server brought a delicious piece of cake with a candle on them in honor of my friend's birthday. Will definitely come back.

We come here for great kebabs. The other dishes are pretty good too but for people who don't make them at home (we are cooking Persian food ourselves and it tastes better at home). The only comments are regarding the on the house starters on the table: I would probably go for olive oil instead of commercial butter, and Sabzi should have more Persian herbs instead of just parsley. Overall would definitely come there again.

We have eaten dinner at Yekta several times and always very satisfied with food quality and dining experience.

Touch of Persia in Rockville
Always a lovely evening: attentive service, warm and colorful setting, and good food. The appetizers are particularly good and don't miss the frozen noodle sorbet or the saffron ice cream with pistachios for dessert - better yet, ask for a combination of both!

Great food but subpar service
This place has excellent Persian food! Entree portions are large and satisfying. Our panir-o-sabzi appetizer was underwhelming- great cheese, but so little of it. You're left with a ton of herbs and little to eat them with. Our server was very slow and seemed to be prioritizing a table of 12 over us, a table of six. We were asked for our drink orders and weren't offered bread for another 5 minutes- my parents were starving so this was unfortunate. It really was impossible to get our waiter's attention. He also forgot the side dish my mother ordered. At least they didn't charge us for it...

food was delicious, service and ambiance were excellent. particularly enjoyed the eggplant appetizer. Salmon kabob with sauteed vegies was great. connected grocery next door carries a huge array of mideastern delicacies. leave time to peruse it. i will definitely return and try to leave room for dessert the next time.

We enjoyed our dinner tremendously. The menu was a little limited bit everything we ordered was very good. Our waiter was excellent and made sure that everything was to our liking was great with the two kids in our party.

Great food, nice atmosphere
I brought a group of 13 women for a Sunday night dinner to Yekta. I had been there for lunch before and always had a nice experience. We ordered several mezza for the table, their home made bread and many different entrees. The food was delicious and the service was helpful and efficient. Everyone enjoyed their food and many of us had food to take home. Overall it was a very lovely experience.

2nd time- still love it!
the appetizers are particularly delicious. the 1st listed on the menu (eggplant, etc) was the favorite.
we'll be back. leave time to peruse the market next door.

Really Good Iranian Restaurant
We had a great time at Yekta Kabobi restaurant, enjoying the appetizer of olives, pomegranates, nuts and seeds in a delicious sauce, followed by Fassenjan for my wife and a tasty Lamb dish for myself. Great service and great ambiance, great time. They also have a wonderful Iranian store right next to the restaurant that sells unique treats and grocery items not available at your usual shopping venues.

great kabob, moist bonesless chicken, lots of food for the price......good meal

Lovely birthday dinner!
Wonderful food, beautifully served in a beautiful place. Only drawback was noise level became louder as more people arrived, as the evening wore on. Market next store, part of restaurant, sells very interesting food. Overall, great time. We plan on returning as there were items on the menu that we really want to try.

We thoroughly enjoyed the kabobs at Yekta. My only problem was that in ordering the cornish hen kabob, I did not realize that the bone was left in, so that made it a little more difficult to eat. The salad, as always, was very fresh and the rice was delicious. Will return soon.

I have always found Yekta
I have always found Yekta to have delicious food and very good service. Have recommended it to a number of people and they agree.

Delicious kabobs! Especially the ground beef kabob which was tender and seasoned beautifully. Myself and another guest also tried two different stews: the tomato based one with key lime and the spinach based one with kidney beans. We did not like the stews as much as the kabobs, however. I would recommend getting the entrees with half rice/half vegetables even though there is an extra $1 charge. The vegetables were delicious and tasted fresh. The yogurt based dip, and the eggplant dip were also excellent appetizers with bread. I would definitely return!

Great food, reasonable prices
Nothing else to say. It is very good for those who are not familiar with the cuisine. Everyone can order a kebab. For those who knows the cuisine or would like to explore, there are many choices as well.
