Colombini is a cozy, little, probably the most authentic italian restaurant we have seen in the Bay Area so far.
Authentic in all aspects, menue, environment and service. The menu and the wine card fit on two pages each. As we were a bunch of 7 people we got quite a junk of the offer.
Not to miss is the Minestrone, the Vitello a Marsalla and the Cherry Tiramisu together with the Espresso.
The place must be pretty quite, may be not with us being there, just enjoyed ourselves with wonderful food and wine.
Next time we will spend the night at the Nobhill Hotel.

A Wonderful Find!
This charming little restaurant is a neighborhood gem! The food is outstanding and probably the most authentic Italian food I have tasted outside of Italy! We went to dinner with friends who stated it was the best Italian food they had eaten in San Francisco since moving there a couple of years ago.

I used to eat here years ago and loved it, was hesitant to go back and possibly be let down but it didn't disappoint! The food was amazing, it's very small (maybe a dozen tables) so the service is great, closer quarters though so you know what your neighbor is talking about if you want to be nosey. It's well worth it and a great place to end the day.

Girls Night Out - Comfortable
We were in town for a large convention and wanted to go somewhere close to our hotel. After talking to others and consulting our concierge, we made reservations at another restaurant. However, we weren't excited about the menu -- too elaborate. We checked for recommendations through Open Table and found this gem within 7 blocks of our hotel. It's a small, quaint restaurant attached to the Nob Hill Hotel. The menu was small but concise. We each had pasta entrees and they were excellent. There was only one server, but she managed the four tables with ease. We were never left wanting for anything and we were never overly bothered. It was quite an enjoyable evening!
