Worth a return visit
This was our first visit to Tokyo Cafe, and we enjoyed it. My husband and I both got the pork belly bowl. It was a rich, spicy, and plentiful bowl. We will return to try more dishes.

MIGHT change view of Japanese
Tuna tower ROCKED. Stuffed avocado just ok. Pork belly good but mine seemed left over from previous dinner service. We ate lunch here. Ambiance so so due to building and location, but don't let it fool you. Will definitely go back. Lunch bento was very standard but not elevated. There is potential for this place to explode to culinary genius with the right ideas of innovation and elevation of flavor profiles. I hope owners read these reviews.

Freshest and most consistent high quality sushi in Fort Worth. TCU and Tejas rolls along with Tok fries and the avo bake are all not to be missed. If feeling more adventurous try the excellent crispy fish collar then have chef hard fry the boney bits into chips with a savory Asian dip. The sushi happy hour daily 4-6 is a fantastic way to try new things. My fav - baby yellowtail - clean flavor with dense almost crunchy meat phenomenal!

Expensive Happy Hour
We purposely went for happy hour to reduce costs. They offer the "white surprise" & the "red surprise" wines. It's the house wine but you do not know ahead of time what you are getting. My husband & I received different white wines---a chardonnay & a sauvignon blanc. I do not like sauvignon blanc so he drank it & I consumed the chardonnay. They have the maki sushi at a reduced price of $1 or $2 per piece. We ordered 2 servings of 6 different kinds & only received 5 which the server did not notice until we pointed it out on the check. He promptly took care of it but at a total cost of $70 (including tip) we came away feeling that it was too expensive & that we could've eaten more. All in all, the sushi was fresh & good.

Great food, love all of the different rolls, tok fries are delicious. Spice girls roll, happy roll, and Tejas roll are my favorites.

Love Tokyo Cafe!!
A friend and I went for my birthday lunch and it was absolutely amazing as usual! We had the tempura brussel sprouts which were definitely crave-able, the blackened white tuna (an old fave) and 2 rolls including the New York Sunrise which was just the right amount of spicy. I think Tokyo has the freshest fish, and their sushi chefs really know what they are doing when it comes to preparing the fish and creating new & different rolls.
