A great Tuesday night!
I met up with my sister during a week nite. Toscanos was recommended by a friend, with no hesitation, it was the first place that came to his mind. Nice ambience, easy to hold a conversation, attentive service. We started off with delicious cocktails followed by wonderful food, from the appetizer to the salad and the entree. What a treat! Bold flavors and innovative presentations, Awesome!

Food, service and atmosphere
Food, service and atmosphere were wonderful. No compliants, definitely plan to return and recommend to others!

The Chef Special was a veal chop milianese stuffed w/fontina cheese, spinach, and figs with a demi sauce. WOW! It was the best dish I've had from the Chef. I didn't think he could outdo the already amazing food. They also had an asparagus bisque that was just perfect. We have never been disappointed. One can eat on a moderate budget or choose to really enjoy the culinary offerings from the Kitchen. Monday and Tuesday evenings, in addition to their menu, a pre-fix menu is also offered. You can't go wrong with the veal parmigianna. Absolutely, to die for, and my husband usually brings some home for lunch the next day. We haven't made it for the Sunday Family Style menu, which is the only menu served, but we are looking forward to it!

The food is always good at Toscano's. The issue is with the noise level - SO loud that I could hardly hear what my girlfriend was saying who was only sitting across the table. This is a special restaurant, but the ambience suffers due to the noise from other diners- maybe, this is due to the size of the restaurant.

Definitely the dining experience you you will love....food is outstanding!!
The waitstaff attentive & upbeat...don't miss the chance to be wowed!

I am someone who is very fussy about my dining. This restaurant is worth the wait. Food and service is very good. One will not be disappointed. Not the cheapest place in town.
7/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
This is a favorite dinner spot for my friends and me. The service is excellent (good spacing of courses and never feel rushed) and the food, menu standards and specials alike, is unique and delicious. The wine choices and martini selections are varied but all good. Toscano's is a bit pricey ($80 per person but that included appetizers, drinks, dinner, desserts and coffee) but well worth it. Should definitely make a reservation and Open Table has always made this easy and efficient. Enjoy!

Second time there. One of your regulars recommended it to my brother. Had a great waitress (Donna), a wonderful martini, proscuitto wrapped Italian stuffed long hots were excellent, but the special menu pork chop was the best. Great new find for me.

Bring your appetite
Portions are quite large! Small dining room was quiet early in evening but quickly became noisy with all tables filled including a large party seated nearby. Kids menu available. Be aware, some sites note BYOB but they have a full bar; was told $25 corkage fee for Friday and Saturdays. Interesting specials, would have liked to see them in writing as our server had to wait to tell us about them until another server finished talking to another group two tables away. Presentation was top notch!
8/3/2013 12:00:00 AM
Went on a Thursday, was on time at 7 pm. Had to wait 20 minutes for table, service had significant periods of no attention and time periods between courses. It was so loud around us we could not talk in a conversational tone, we had to yell sometimes. Tables were so tight we had to move the table to get seated. I felt trapped in my seat. Besides all this it was a nice time with two friends.
8/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
We ate here for the first time. The food a wonderful experience. Everyone (4 of us) enjoyed what they ordered. My husband and I had Lobster Bisque soup. Very tasty and you got a lot of it. Big chunks of lobster in it too. All of our entrees were very tasty. One of the group had the PorterHouse steak. He said it was the best steak he ever had. You could order it for one person or two. He ordered for one and it really was enough for two people, it was that big.
8/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
This is one of our favorite Resturants, and never fails to impress. We had excellent food and service, I just love the look of the place.
8/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
Another great dining experience
We tried the prix fixe menu and would definitely do so again. The Italian egg rolls were a hit with the men and the ladies were delighted with the Jersey tomato stack with eggplant. For entrees the ladies both thought the sea scallops over wild mushroom risotto was outstanding and look forward to enjoying it again. One of the men raved over the rootbeer glazed pork chop while the other devoured the veal medallions with asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, pronouncing his thorough enjoyment. The sabayon with fresh fruit was found delectable by three of us and the fourth loved his tiramisu. We WILL be back soon.
8/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
Zak the chef is one of the most creative and consistently great chefs in the US, let alone New Jersey. It's obvious he loves what he does in every dish. The freshest and highest quality ingredients contribute to the perfection. Whether you choose off the menu (the gnocchi osso buco, linguine with white clam sauce, root beer glazed pork chop or chicken calabrese are our favorites. The soup du jour is always delicious - the lobster corn chowder was scrumptious. We always have appetizers so never get to desert so can't comment on those. You may have a little hard time hearing as the noise level is sometimes pretty high, but you'll be so involved in eating and enjoying the food, you may not notice! Love it here!

Dinner is served family style
Dinner is served family style on Sundays and was wonderful. Portions were good, not excessive. The short ribs were beautifully done - very flavorful and tender. Diner was not rushed and we were able to enjoy both the meal and the conversation. Definitely a repeat. EK
8/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
We know we can count on a great meal and outstanding service!
8/31/2013 12:00:00 AM
This is hands down one of if not the best restaurant in New Jersey. Zach is amazing.
If the menu doesn't make you salivate enough, just wait until you hear the specials. They run the gamut, from apps to desserts.
If you try one thing only it's the root beer glazed pork chop. Start with the bacon dusted calamari finish the night with the cannoli custard. Wow. Wow. Wow. Never disappoints. On top of the food the service is always professional knowledgable and willing to
Accommodate any request. Presentation is perfect every plate dressed and neat. Go to Toscano don't hesitate, I'll see you there.
8/31/2013 12:00:00 AM
My husband and I had a great meal and wonderful service at Toscano's. they make a great martini! Not our first visit and won't ,be out last. I had scallops with a mushroom risotto that was delicious.
9/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great food and service. They've gotten a bit more pricey than when they first opened. Definitely order the Pane Toscano which is a cheese bread with onions and garlic. I had the angelhair pasta with crabmeat which was excellent. Their mixed drinks are a bit pricey as well. If you like bleu cheese stuffed olives, there's an extra charge for those too.
9/6/2013 5:00:00 PM
Never would have thought to find this quality in Bordentown. The tasting courses on this Monday evening offered great Barnegat scallops with risotto, an excellent soup, and desert. Food is certainly 4 -4 1/2 stars.
9/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
Always a pleasure to dine at Toscanos. If there were more than 5 stars available, Toscanos would have them!
9/18/2013 12:00:00 AM
OUTSTANDING AS USUAL
I HAVE BEEN TO TOSCANO SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE PAST TWO YEARS
AND HAVE ALWAYS HAD A GREAT TIME. THE FOOD IS ALWAYS EXCELLENT.
THIS VISIT I ORDERED A DISH I HAD HAD BEFORE THAT WAS NOT ON THE CURRENT
MENU. OUR SERVER CHECKED WITH THE CHEF AND MY REQUEST WAS NOT ONLY
GRANTED, BUT I WAS GIVEN A CHOICE OF WHAT FISH I WANTED TO ACCOMPANY MY TRIO.
THE DISH IS A MASTERPIECE. SHRIMP, SCALLOPS,SALMON AND A BRUSCHETTA TOPPED WITH
CRAB. ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I HAVE EVER EATEN. MY GUESTS ENJOYED THEIR DISHES AS WELL.
I TRULY CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN.

A Hidden Gem
Tucked away in Charming Historic Bordentown, this restaurant is fabulous! Great martini's, delicious food, & good service.
Not cheap, but well worth it.... I highly recommend!

A Bordentown Delight
While a bit pricey (figure at least $50 per person) the menu choices are many and varied, and very creative.
The service was top notch. We came late and yet were not rushed at all. Service was discreet and very professional.
The specials were extremely creative and excellenty prepared, visually very appealing, and a delight to the taste buds.
Due to price not somewhere to go every day, but definitely a must visit a few times a year!
10/3/2013 12:00:00 AM
great service but a few dislikes
our glasses were never empty & the server was knowledgeable. Everything we tried was great. We were a little surprised when the check came though because the specials( the 28 day beef in particukar)were very expensive. I would recommend the server tell you the prices after describing vg the specials, as some other places do. Our bill for 2 people was $200 +.
The creme brulee was burnt which was a disappointment & the restaurant didn't take notice of the open table reservation note that it was my birthday so they didn't acknowledge it.The host didn't acknowledge us properly when we walked in. He spoke to us after a few seconds but had his head down & didn't look at us; while still thinking about a previous call. overall a nice night.
10/3/2013 12:00:00 AM
so so risotto
the risotto was gummy..sticky and the scallops that came with it were cold.
Also, the crab cake appetizer was cold.
Everyone else enjoyed their meals.
10/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great dinner. Everyone enjoyed
Great dinner. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. Ordered the special appetizers for the table, we had 8 people and it was too much food. No one could finish their dinner. They were great. But thats ok, had something good to eat another day.Our waitress was fantastic...overall good experience
10/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
One of the best!
Wonderful atmosphere and service while at the same time providing the best food experience one could expect. The chef develops some of the most creative meals using the best quality foods and no fear, you won’t leave hungry.

great food, gem of a restaurant!
We took my parents for their anniversary and everything about Toscanos was wonderful. My husband is Italian and he raved about the food. We all had delicious meals including salad, soup, appetizers and dessert. I definitely recommend this place.

Drove over from PA to dine at Toscano and it was certainly worth it...!Terrific staff always makes you feel welcome and has an energetic vibe! Food was authentic and served hot and timely. Try the Meatball salad for an app too! Server was excellent. Prices reasonable!

Great dining in Bordentown
We've been coming to Bordentown for a few years to try different restaurants. I don't know how we missed Toscanso, until now. All 5 of us shared the appetizer sampler and probably could have called it a night. Everything was delicious and plentiful. Each entree was better than the next. Portions were large enough for everyone to take a doggie bag, we had to try dessert. Also excellent, creme brulee and zabaglione. Service was also exemplary. We'll definitely be back. It was a great meal!

30th Anniversary Dinner for two
The meal is a perfect match for being with the one you love the most.
11/4/2013 4:00:00 PM
Feeling adventurous, I went for the tuna tartare mini taco appy and the slow roaster veal shank from the specials. Everything was fabulous! Party of four shared a bottle of wine and tried some of the awesome desserts and espresso.

The menu and the special offer
The menu and the special offer a lot of choices for many different types of tastes. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Both times I went there, they were very willing to make substitutions to accommodate dietary issues. The eggplant rollatine is a great appetizer. Had seafood, fish and steak and all were cooked to perfection with great accompanying sauces and sides. Can't wait to go back.

Finally a chance to go out with the wife for a dinner without kids or a plastic menu. From start to finish, our experience in Toscanos was wonderful. The only remark that i might make, is that the lighting was just a tad low for viewing the menu. Other than that the ambience was great. Absolutely no complaints about our server who was very knowledeable and attentive. The food was excellent. My wife had the Veal Saltimbocca and I the Pesto crusted Bluenose. We will definitely come back and will highly recommend Toscanos to family and friends.
11/15/2013 4:00:00 PM
We Will Be Back!
Our group had a wonderful luncheon experience. The food was delicious, the server was very attentive and professional and we were not rushed. We will definitely come back in the near future.

This fantastic neighborhood
This fantastic neighborhood gem has made moving to this suburban area an extremely pleasant surprise. The caliber all around is comparable to any restaurant I have been to in NYC !

Best Italian restaurant in
Best Italian restaurant in Burlington County. A little lengthy on the reservation (took 4 weeks to get a weekend dinner res) but it was so worth it.

MY FAVORITE SPOT
The service and food are always exceptional. It was a Sunday, so we chose from the Family-Style Dinner Menu which I highly recommend for large groups. We enjoyed the Bacon-Dusted Calamari and Italian Eggrolls as an appetizer, Chopped Antipasto, and Penne Vodka. For our main courses we had the Chicken & Shrimp Bellisimo (the marsala wine sauce has such a fantastic flavor) and one of the best Chicken Parmagiana I've ever tasted. And of course, you cannot leave Toscano without having one of their signature desserts. The four of us had the Maple Crème Brulee, Pumpkin Cheesecake, Custard, and Tiramasu. Can't wait to visit again for New Year's Eve!!
11/30/2013 4:00:00 PM
Food is consistently great.
Food is consistently great. Always interesting specials. The tasting menu was a great value. The squash ravioli in brown butter was exquisite and the pumpkin cheesecake was heavenly. Donna, the waitress is excellent

Thomas Paine in Italy
Once home town to Thomas Paine, Toscana in Bordentown is now the home of true Classic Italian cuisine. If you died after just eating the appetizers, Saint Peter couldn't miss the smile (and sauce) on your face! Excellent!
