We couldn't have asked for better or more attentive service - and yet it was not forced or over done - it was naturally nice people happy to provide excellent service (nothing more nothing less). We were very impressed and will definitely return.

We ate lunch outside, very nice weather and a pleasant dining experience. Service was prompt and the food was great.
5/12/2013 4:00:00 PM
We are a group of teachers who came to celebrate our end of the school year. They took great care of us and we got $100 dollars off. This place was terrific to us and we will go again.
5/23/2013 4:00:00 PM
Went there recently and had the Blackened Mississippi Catfish. I was surprised at how good it was! It was a very-fresh-tasting single fillet served over rice & braised greens that were also very flavorful - the greens (swiss chard?) had small bits of meat in it that made it quite delicious. My husband had the asparagus risotto, lots of good flavor and it was served with veggies almost equal to the portion of rice (50/50) Yay! The Williamette Valley bottle of pinot noir was excellent, and so was the carrot cake for dessert... tasted like it had been made that afternoon. Service can be a bit slow when things get busy, but the food I had last night was worth waiting for. Bravo Blue!

Terrific Anniversary dinner
I made dinner reservations for my wife and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Walking up to the host and giving my name, he greeted us with "Happy Anniversary" and seated us immediately.
We enjoyed the drinks and food very much.
As a pleasant surprise, they brought us a complimentary dessert as an anniversary treat! That was very gracious of them.
My wife and I very much recommend this restaurant for special occasions.

This was my first time trying Lark Creek Blue and I was overwhelmed by the flavorful food and the diligent attention to detail. The service was attentive without being overbearing. I have been raving about it to everyone who will listen!

Nice surprise at Santana Row
Everyone enjoyed their meals. Fish was fresh and my spaghetti with lobster was delicious.

Special Occasion Dinner
Lark Creek Blue provided the perfect setting for an anniversary dinner. The ambience was good, the service outstanding, and the food was excellent. What more could you ask for?

Lark Creek Blue
Food quality and selection and service were all excellent. Only one snafu. We had informed the restaurant that we (6 in our party) were celebrating a birthday of one of our party. The waiter brought a candled dessert to the table when we had finished our entrees. We hadn't ordered this dessert, so we assumed it was complimentary. When the bill arrived, we were charged for the dessert. We inquired about this and the explanation was: we were charged because they only allow one "discount" and we had ordered a bottle of wine (July is half price month) and the wine was half price. We didn't pursue this with the manager, but it left a negative feeling.
7/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
We came for the wine sale
We came for the wine sale (half off all wines by the bottle during July) and were somewhat surprised at the small size of the wine list. But we had some good wine at a mind-boggling low price. Though we came for and ordered red wine (zinfandel) we all ate seafood (two salmons, one halibut, one scallops) and found the food beautifully cooked and appointed. Delicious berry crisp at the end, too.

excellent and attentive service,
excellent and attentive service, lacking for nothing. Food was amazing as always: vibrant flavors, healthy preparations, well presented and distinctive flavor profiles. A great experience from the Lark Creek family@

Pleasant experience, will go back!
Love the casual chic, relax, clean line decor. I didn't care for the intermittent rap music that got a little bit too loud; after all, we were in a restaurant, not a club. Excellent service, staff was knowledgable of food and wine menu items. Thoroughly enjoyed the Gumbo. The roasted chicken was delish, the carrots that came with it were amazing, the mac&cheese was just average and more on the bland side. The bread before dinner could be crispier (didn't taste that fresh) and the Ceasar salad was good and light on the dressing. July is the month when all wines (bottles and half bottles) on the menu are half off so we took advantage of that. Definitely would go back to try other things.
7/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great food, service, ambiance, would difinately go back !

Enjoyable company luncheon for 10
We had a very good time. We liked the fact the waiter went around the table explaining the menu so everyone could hear. One person wished there were more fish choices. But we all really liked the food and the service very much. We really liked the Shellfish Gumbo (very flavourful) and the Butterscotch Pudding (OMG! yum). The waiters kept our water and beverage glasses full, cleaned up quickly and very helpful throughout our meal. I recommend Lark Creek Blue and would go again.
7/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
I was glad to see that Lark Creek Blue is periodically putting a few new dishes on the menu... hey change is good! Last night I tried the scallops, they were served over a bed of peppers, corn, & black beans, and were quite tasty. The table next to mine had some type of ceviche served with what looked like a house-made pocket bread that looked really yummy. Also, July has been 1/2 price bottle-of-wine month, and that's a great way to try some of their nicest wines.
7/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
Always great food
I really enjoy this place, and the other Lark Creek locations but this one is close to my house and has a great brunch on the weekend.

From Openers to Dessert
The food here is wonderful! Steak was perfectly prepared and the Petrale Sole melts in your mouth. Need for Improvement? The service!! Our server was pleasant enough -- but not present the first half hour after we were seated.
8/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
Consistently fresh with a great menu and a great chef.
I only knocked off one star as the service from our waiter was only fair. He was not able to explain about one of the specials and had to go check with someone on a couple of things. He appeared to be new, so I don't believe this should affect your desire to visit this exceptional restaurant!
8/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
Go for the oysters!
The oysters and wine selection was amazing. Everything else on the menu was good. We started with the tuna tartar, wasn't as flavorful as we wanted but it was good. I had the shellfish gumbo, it had a lot of clams and mussels but I didn't enjoy how they cut the sausage(small diced), and it needed to be a bit spicier. My wife had the pan seared salmon, it was good but the dill was to over powering. It didn't complement the fish or the sauce it came with. It was also a little cold. The service was great, the staff was friendly, the mood was great. My only complaint would be that the music was way to loud. You had to rise your voice pretty loud to be heard. Other than the noise, I would go back for the oysters.
8/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
The miso poached Halibut was fantastic and you need to try the cocktails!
8/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
A friend and I dined at Lark Creek Blue on Thursday, and the entire experience was fantastic! Our server was excellent, and seemed to appear just when we needed her, and the Panzanella Salad with Grilled Gulf Shrimp was "to die for"...the restaurant decor is lovely...can't wait to return!

favorite brunch at Santana Row
LC Blue is my new favorite place to have brunch at Santana Row! I had the eggs benedict and my husband had the fish tacos.
The eggs were poached just how I like them, i.e., the whites were firm and the yolks were cooked a little bit. The Hollandaise sauce was enjoyably light (not the thick stuff that some places use), and it was served with a small salad which complemented the eggs. The fish tacos were wonderful too, the tortillas tasted home-made, the fish was fresh with good sauces. The champagne with a little optional fruit puree was even better than I expected, and so was the pot of black tea. It's not an inexpensive restaurant, and things aren't perfect every visit, but as a foodie, I like what they do at this place!
9/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
Good quality and service
Been here a few time and happy with the food and service every time.
9/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
I really enjoy Lark Creek and it's great having this location near my house. It is mostly seafood, but unlike most seafood places I can eat there as they've got a great land menu too. This particular day I had a filet mignon and it was terrifically prepared. But if you like brunch the eggs Benedict is fabulous.

Best At Santana Row
Lark Creek Blue has it all. To top the list, excellent service. That's rare in the Santana Row restaurant scene.
Diverse, excellent menu. Great appetizers to enjoy at the bar. Indoor or outdoor dining. Awesome wine list.
A high recommendation.

Very fun Saturday brunch
Sunday morning brunch with 6 of us was perfect.
The service was great and the mimosas hit the spot!!
9/22/2013 12:00:00 AM
My girlfriend and I go to Lark Creek Blue essentially every weekend for brunch and order pretty much the same thing every time. I don't think I've received my Eggs Benedict the same way twice, so it's always fun to find out what changes are in store when the plate is delivered. They've changed their potato style, added a salad, and the number of pieces of toast I get always varies. It used to be included with the dish, but when it didn't arrive one week we learned that toast is now a la carte with Eggs Benedict. But I never get the same combination of number of pieces of toast and amount of their delicious homemade raspberry jam. One time the Eggs Benedict arrived without Canadian bacon; we sent that one back. The staff is always delightful

The food was good, but the service.
The food was great. We went to celebrate my daughter's birthday. I love that the seafood is sustainable, but it would have been nice to have know that not all of the dishes were available. The oysters were amazing and the cervice was great. I had the steak and eggs and they were also good.
Our server seemed nervous but eventually settled. we had to ask that the bread be refilled, and after I had set my pallet to a dish I was told it was not available. I hate that. But it was still a good experience.
10/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
We enjoyed dining outside under some very warm heaters, so much so, I removed my light jacket. The activity from the street and the Cuban music coming from Mexican bar next door, added both charm and some excitement. I felt as though I was enjoying dinner in some exotic place like Bourbon St perhaps. While the server was pleasant and experienced, the food did not arrived for 45 minutes. She explained that the kitchen was under-staffed. When it finally arrived, I was pleased to see a dish with no starch, plenty of unusual and tasty veggies and a wonderfully prepared swordfish steak. I recommend. I did not have appetizers or dessert because I am currently following the SCD diet plan.

Great service and special menu
Hazem (waiter) was great! Special menu for the month was fabulous.
10/18/2013 12:00:00 AM
Our group of three tried 3 different entrees from the porcini special menu. All 3 were very good and paired well with the wine for the night. The service was attentive without being intrusive. And of course, Santana Row on Saturday night is a fun place to be with great energy.

Great night out
Grabbed seats here at the last minute, showed up a bit early and got seated right away outside in the alley. Ambience was quite nice and the six of us were able to chat easily with the reasonable sound level. Food was excellent and everyone was happy with our dishes and service.
10/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
Loved the menu, the food, and the service. Lots of little touches that made this a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience, I especially liked that the pace and the personality of the service felt just right. Though it was a busy Saturday night, we were not rushed and nor were we neglected; and though the staff was personable they were never intrusive.
10/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
We had a great time at dinner to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The specials were all very nice, especially the salmon & filet. I also enjoyed the incredibly fresh oysters. We had a few stragglers due to traffic into Santana Row, but the hostess and server were very gracious in allowing us to wait to place orders. Excellent food at a reasonable price - a good value.

Decent restaurant in Santana Row
A fairly good restaurant where Yankee Pier used to be. Its focus is on seafood and it has an average selection of it, but is notable for its adherence to the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch list. Service was good if a bit slow, especially considering the restaurant was mostly empty inside.
10/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
As usual, Bradley Ogden does
As usual, Bradley Ogden does not disappoint. I can't wait to return.
Loved the new menu!

Great Birthday Dinner
We had terrific food and service at a birthday dinner for my mom. When confirming our reservation, I was asked for my table preference. We had a nice quiet table outside under heat lamps which was perfect for our 6pm dinner. The food was excellent. The Seafood Gumbo was a favorite. The salmon and swordfish were also plated and cooked perfectly. We shared the pumpkin bread pudding and the autumn crisp for dessert . The bread pudding was a total hit. Nice touch using a coffee press. We'll be back.

Wonderful, perfectly cooked, flavorful filet. Calamari appetizer was great. Fudge chocolate cake was a great finish.

Nice New Additon to Santana Row
As a senior who prefers a touch of affordable elegance, LCB fills the bill--not cheap, but cozy ambiance, suitable menu choices, nice wines and friendly, attentive service. Beats the Santana row competition for a classy sans snobby treat.

Good food, good service!
This was my second time to this restaurant and both times have been really good. I'll be back!
11/7/2013 4:00:00 PM
Tasty late lunch
We had a fantastic baby kale salad with pears and hazelnuts with dressing just right. We spilt a mozzarella and tomato sandwhich spread with pesto. Yum! Then for dessert we had a butterscotch pudding that was heaven!

Fish Fest Al Fresco
Lark Creek Blue offers shellfish, crustaceans, celapods, mollusks and fish done right. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable, Chef delivered some of our entrees himself, and every dish was delicately prepared. My choice for being one of the top 3 Santana Row Restaurants.
11/14/2013 4:00:00 PM
Always more on the menu that I want to order than I have room for! Oh well... Must go back!
11/16/2013 4:00:00 PM
If you want to eat very good food..
If you go to Santana Row, most of the restaurants, bistros are just OK. They have great location, so the food and service are often spotty. I've eaten at Lark Creek Blue more than 5 times and each time it has been very, very good, especially the fresh fish. I often order the halibut or salmon. This time, chef Bradley Odgen was in the house and they had a special menu with a Pork Rib Loin. WOW! was that delicious as well the bleu cheese soufle. And a big shout out to the chef as I asked him about Turkey gravy for thanksgiving and he gave me a big hint -- apple cider vinegar instead of brandy or bourbon! Thanks Chef!
11/21/2013 4:00:00 PM
With several family members out of town/country we opted for a dinner out instead of at home. Lark Creek Blue supplied a terrific menu and a sophisticated setting. service was attentive and professional. We were very satisfied with our choice and feel comfortable recommending it to others.

A Fine Thanksgiving
We came for the prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner and were completely satisfied. First course was preceded by an amuse-bouche of oysters Rockefeller that was quite good. The bread on the table was a very nice sourdough. The butternut squash soup avoided the too-common fault of being more butter than squash, and even the duck confit stayed on the manageable side of rich. Our entrées were the traditional roast turkey and pan roasted sole. Both were delicious. It took a little longer than expected for dessert to appear (I think they were getting quite busy around that time). The pumpkin crème brûlée was good, although it fell short of my wife's imagination, but the sorbet trio—especially the peach—was excellent.

Seafood Thanksgiving Disappoints
My partner and I are both from the East Coast (I from New England) and love lobster--plain steamed, broiled, served with drawn butter. As we have no more family that is interested in the traditional Thanksgiving turkey and fixin's, I made a reservation at Lark Creek Blue.
I ordered a regular gin martini, which did not resemble any martini I ever had. I then ordered the Negroni-- better, as was their suggested white wine.
We had raw oysters that were good, but tiny. Cocktail sauce was perfection. Butternut squash soup was delicious. Lobster disappointing, seemed to have recently molted, as meat inside was smaller than usual. "Shrimp" stuffing--few shrimp, but rather starchy. Drawn butter was impeccable.
Service rather slow.
