We have dined an the Copperleaf over the last several years and have repeatedly been impressed. This visit, July 2013, was perhaps the best yet. Every plate has multiple distinct and complementary favors and is composed to be magazine ready. Can't wait to return.

Not a Brunch, but....
Sunday at 1 PM was lunch with a menu of 3-4 sandwiches and 2 entrees. Although the choices were limited, the food was excellent (especially the diver scallops). The setting is charming, like a trip to another world. It is 5 minutes from the airport, and the prompt service gave us plenty of time before our flight.

3 sisters celebrate a birthday
We started with White Sturgeon Caviar Blinis, truly amazing.I enjoyed a perfect Lemon Drop while and the Caramelized Diver Scallops with crispy sweetbreads, white truffle cauliflower, trumpet royale mushrooms and Wenatchee bing cherries.I was nervous about trying the crispy sweetbreads. They were similar in shape and size to a hush puppy and tasted heavenly. The scallops were perfectly prepared. My sisters had the Applewood-Smoked King Salmon and the Neah Bay Halibut. Both were as pleased with their meals as I was with mine. The Sakuma Farms Strawberry Sorbet was incredibly fresh and was served very tastefully with a single candle and no annoying fan fare. The Cinnamon Peach Cobbler that I shared with our other sister was also delicious.Perfection!

best meal in seattle
outstanding meal and service in unpretentious though sophisticated atmosphere. definitely worth a visit, especially if you are near the airport. Hotel is also exceptional and hard to believe such a tranquill facility is only a few minutes from the airport and the usual commercial facilities

The food is inspired and delicious, particularly the vegetarian tasting menu. Flavors burst forth out of each dish, and they are pleasing to the eye as well as to the palate. Wine list is terrific. Service is friendly.

What a Surprise!
We stopped in Seattle on the way back home from Vancouver for 1 night (at the airport) because our plane home left very early. We looked for a restaurant for dinner in the neighborhood of the hotel and the search engine only came up with fast food. Upon further investigation we found Copperleaf. Farm to table is what we usually look for, and the Copperleaf did not disappoint. We even ate geoduck for the first time! The service was impeccable. When you have food this delicious, the service is usually a bit snobby, but not here. We were made to feel very comfortable by the knowledgeable Remus and he also had a wonderful sense of humor. This is one of those that you put on the list of "hope to return someday".

Best place near SEATAC
We had an early morning flight out of SEATAC so we stayed at one of the hotels nearby. Found this wonderful venue with a great chef and well prepared dishes in the European style. Wine list was very nice. We would certainly go back if we are staying in the area again.

The Very Best!!!
We ate at many of the famed and notable restaurants in Seattle on our vacation and found this to be the absolute best without question. This place is far and away the very bet Seattle has to offer!! Everything was amazing, from our experience in the lounge with the crafted drinks and friendly service to our incredible dinner experience. The food was amazing with so many interesting and creative flavors. we tried geoduck for the first time, wow!! The wine steward was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and the Copperleaf wine is fantastic. This is a must for any foodie, as we fancy ourselves, and can't wait to return to Seattle just for dinner. Thank you for a special evening!!

Great place for a power lunch
Great place for a power lunch or a special dinner. Beautifully prepared locally-influenced cuisine. Quite a diamond in the rough, and even most people in the area don't know it exists!

Hidden Gem in SeaTac
We have dined here many times and absolutely love it. The food and service are excellent. This is the ONLY place to eat in the south end of King County. We showed up early for our reservation and was seated immediately. You do have to allow extra time if you are catching a flight as this is a fine dining establishment and you will want to linger over your food. Kudos to the chef and our server for a wonderful experience.

Amazing flavor combinations
Everything was great, but the deconstructed peach cobbler was out of this world!

Quiet secluded ambience
It is always a pleasure to have dinner at this restaurant. quiet, secluded and romantic, it is the perfect place to rest up before taking off on a long trip. the food is exceptional and doesn't leave you feeling too full. Service is attentive and respectful. You get great recommendations and explanations when requested. An oasis of calm surrounded by lush green space...you hardly can believe the the airport is minutes away.

An amazing experience
Copperleaf has become an absolute favorite of our company locally and of mine. The food is incredible, the presentation amazing and the staff is wonderful and professional. The setting is absolutely fantastic whether you sit inside or outside. Reservations are recommended. I consider Copperleaf a hidden gem around Seatac !

Surprising Restaurant near Seatac
I found this restaurant in the Cedarbrook Lodge when I was looking for a nice place to eat with my friends after their flight arrived in Seattle and before we headed home to Bellingham. The lodge and restaurant architecture, art and landscaping are beautiful, and the food is also beautifully prepared and presented. I have returned many times since that first time. Memorable dishes include the soft shell crab starter, duck breast entrée and the Hot Chocolate Pot with cinnamon doughnuts for dessert. Service has always been excellent. The prices are in the $$$ range. They also have a lovely bar with it's own, less expensive, menu. I had the best crab cake sandwich there served on brioche toast.
8/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
One of the world's top restaurants
Service: warm and attentive
Ambience: quintessentially Northwest
8/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
I believe that Ben was our server and we felt like we were the only diners there. He didn't overwhelm with his service but knew everything about each dish and gave a beautiful description of each upon delivery. We ordered a wonderful sampling of the delicious dishes offered and shared. We were given a complimentary tasting and I don't remember what it was but we loved it and appreciated the gesture. We tried the Fennel Nicoise, Charcoal-grilled spanish octopus, Geoduck, Kampachi and the Halibut special. The presentation and flavors of each dish were exceptional and all within 5 minutes of SeaTac. We were given a plate will small bites of brownies and fudge and it was a lovely compliment to our wine. It was a special evening of memories.

Delicious (but small portions)
Great food but we both left hungry after spending almost $100

Fit for food lovers
From the little touches of the silverware, salt cellar and plates to the general ambience, you know you are in for a treat when you sit down. The food is truly top-notch. This is the sort of place where if you surrender your taste buds to the chef and try all the tastes they pair together on your plates you'll be in for a treat.
8/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
Cooperleaf is blocks away from SEA/TAC and tucked away in a beautiful wooded setting complete with babbling brook.
This is an amazing dining experience set in the Cedarbrook Lodge.

8/28/2013 12:00:00 AM
My friend and I are both chefs and it is a challenge to find a great place to dine in the Seatac area. The entire experience was amazing. Elegant but comfortable even if dressed casually. We enjoyed lunch and can't wait to try the dinner menu. The grounds and views are so beautiful and relaxing you will completely forget your in Seatac. By the way, valet parking is free when dining in the restaurant.

What a wonderful layover!
My husband and I had a 5 hour layover on our trip from Alaska. We stayed at Cedarbrook Lodge last year and dined at the restaurant twice. We decided this would be a better use of our layover time than SEATAC food and lack of ambiance! From the bar service for a cocktail to the food and service in the Copperleaf Restaurant, all were outstanding. Our server was very knowledgeable with many suggestions on our menu choices. I sampled small plates - my husband had a regular size portion. We tried the tasting menu last year and it was excellent.
I highly recommend Copperleaf for locals as well as transients like ourselves.

Table in front of the fireplace made for a special memory. The food was exquisite, made that much better by impeccable service and an extraordinary wine. Highly recommend the Garlic Creme Soup and White sturgeon blinis. The halibut was perfectly prepared. Don't miss the strawberry sorbet for dessert. Looking forward to travelling back to Seattle to visit this restaurant again.

Fantastic Oasis - Cuisine Supreme
Mark Bodinet, Executive Chef and crew have established cuisine and style rarely found in a hotel, yet alone in greater Seattle. The Chef's Tasting Menu is a bargain; yes, it's small portions but the flavors, taste, and quality are of quality equal to some of the best places we've dined in Napa, Vegas, LA and NYC. Local sourced ingredients only add to the cuisine. French Laundry past meets NW inspiration! A knowledgeable Crew were very helpful, informative and provided service that exceeded our prior visit. With the passing of summer, outdoor dining is out, but the fireplace, nice table arrangements and lighting make for a comfortable environment. Go for a special occasion or food quest and before we loose this gem.

The dinner was amazing. The food and service were perfect.
9/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
I have dined here before. As usual, exceptional selections, prepared perfectly. Food is fresh, innovative, delicious. I had the pre fixe meal w/ wine. Excellent dishes w/ wines to match. Atmosphere cozy, quiet, great staff & service. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant.

An Unexpected Oasis
If this restaurant was downtown, it would take weeks to get a reservation. The setting is gorgeous, the service is highly attentive, and the food is some of the most innovative and tasty you'll find. Chef Mark and team take the freshest local ingredients and combine them to create flavors you won't find anywhere else.
10/11/2013 12:00:00 AM
Off the strip by SeaTac. Didn't even know it existed until Open Table pointed the way. Great food and service in a nice and quiet spot.
10/20/2013 12:00:00 AM
Met a friend who was in town on a very short layover. I chose this restaurant due to the positive reviews, and proximity to the Doubletree hotel. We were vert pleased with the experience, and the food was wonderful and fresh (local).
I highly recommend this restaurant. It's nice to know that airport area hotel guests aren't stuck with the Denny's or bad hotel bar options.
10/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
A visit to Seattle is not complete without a visit to the Copperleaf restaurant. It is a wonderful, relaxing experience. The food is outstanding, as is the ambiance and service. Very high quality.
10/28/2013 12:00:00 AM
We had another delightful experience at Copperleaf Restaurant! The food and presentation are always amazing and we are so impressed how the staff remembers us, including specifics, even if they haven't seen us in months. Everything about Copperleaf is simply outstanding!

Came for a mid-week birthday celebration with a dear friend. Started in the cozy and inviting lounge adjacent to the restaurant and enjoyed a cocktail. The bartender recommended a couple of NW inspired drinks for us which were excellent. If we didn't already have dinner reservations we could have stayed in the lounge and eaten of the more than ample bar menu. Glad we didn't though as our dining experience was quite simply one of the best either one of us had had for quite some time. From the amuse bouche to last bite of dessert the food was perfect. The staff were attentive without being overbearing and were very knowledgeable about all of the offerings and beverages available. I would not hesitate to recommend to a friend.
11/12/2013 4:00:00 PM
The Tasting Menu was fabulous. There was way too much time between courses, especially the scallop course. Otherwise, the service was also great.
I would dine here again.

My favorite Seattle Area Restuarant
I travel to the Seattle area for business several times a year and stay at Cedarbrook. A highlight of my visit is eating at CopperLeaf. The food is fresh and delightfully and innovatively prepared. The presentation is just beautiful. The wines are delicious and local, and the service is always top notch yet full of friendliness and warmth. I cannot think of a better place to enjoy a delicious, well-crafted meal than CopperLeaf.
11/15/2013 4:00:00 PM
Cedarbrook is an upscale PNW Lodge. Copperleaf sits In a converted lobby area. Nice ambiance and excellent food and service.
11/22/2013 4:00:00 PM
After reading a review of this restaurant online, we expected great things and we weren't disappointed. I began with a green salad. My friend with a potato and artichoke dish - both a delight. We both chose the small entree. I had sole. My friend lobster. Both dishes were exquisitely seasoned, prepared, and presented. When I travel through Seattle again, I will make sure I stop again for the excellent cusine. Thank you.

Wow is all I can say
Due to it being a holiday they had a special menu that was amazing. The food was not just tasty but also beautiful. The service was fabulous. Have already recommended this restaurant several times and am looking forward to going back.
I was able to look at their regular menu and cannot wait to try the rabbit or antelope. The desert list looked scrumptious also.

Great dinner near the airport
We needed to eat near SEA TAC airport, and found this place on Open Table. Excellent food, and the atmosphere was better than some of the reviews suggest….it is in a large open area, but is separated from "the lobby". We will definitely be back.
11/29/2013 4:00:00 PM
A little out of the way but worth the trouble. Dessert was liquid Theo chocolate with doughnuts- perfect ending for any occasion The crab was great.

A great place for a business lunch. Quiet and good service.
12/10/2013 4:00:00 PM
The Copperleaf Restaurant at Cedarbrook Lodge is truly an oasis in the desert that is Seatac.
The food and service is impeccable. The servers actually know the menu items and how they are prepared.
The dining room is beautifully appointed. It is open and airy but still feels cozy and welcoming. Delightful dining experience.
12/11/2013 4:00:00 PM
This was our second time dinng at Copprlefeaf and both the hostess and the waitress rememberd us from our previous visit. We ordered the chef's tasting meu paired with recommended wines. The food selections were absolutely delightful and the wines all were lovely selections from the Oregon and Washington region. Brett, the sommelier took time to explain each of the wines to us and Tobi, our waitress, was attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The ambience of the restaurant is very warm and welcoming. All in all a fabulous place and one we look foward to returning to.
