Lovely afternoon at Reynold's
We were celebrating one of my friend's birthday and decided to have afternoon tea at Reynolds Tavern. It's a lovely restaurant and our tea was outstanding. There is a new menu and chef so if you are wanting to have a very pleasant lunch, tea, or dinner, I would highly recommend it. Their tea is presented beautifully and all the food was excellent. They have two pages of different teas and they are presented in full teapots with a beautiful tray of scones, sandwiches, and desserts. It was lovely and we will definitely be back again. Other than the tea service, there is a new, large "Southern" inspired menu, appetizers, seafood, steaks, and even Southern Fried Buttermilk Chicken. All looked delicious and we will definitely be back.

A Colonial Gem
This is a beautiful 18th century tavern, perfectly preserved with sensational food and warm, welcoming service. We also went back for afternoon tea. If you're in Annapolis, this is a must-experience.

Reynolds Tavern Annapolis MD
Very good food and service. We ate lunch there twice and everyone enjoyed everything that was ordered. I had a rehearsal dinner there for 30 people and they did a wonderful job setting up one of their two dinning rooms for us and put together a great menu complemented by a nice selection of wines and full bar service.

High Tea, Great Food, Great Prices
Reynold's Tavern in Annapolis, MD is a favorite of mine. I took my granddaughters(ages 11 & 10) last year for high tea; they loved it! And their assessment of the tea was in comparison to High Tea at the Plaza Hotel in New York which we had done 8 months prior. They (and I) loved the coziness; the china, the blooming blossom teas, and the attention to detail: and my wallet loved the prices. Reynold's also has a great menu for lunch and dinner if High Tea is not your thing. I now take friends whenever they com to town, or I go just for myself. DO make reservations. The restaurant is small and fills up quickly; it IS an Annapolis favorite. GO! you won't be disappointed. I promise!

Superb Dining with a Bit of History
Situated in the historic section of Annapolis, Reynolds Tavern offers a diverse menu of spirits, meat, and fish - all prepared with the care and attention expected from a class restaurant.
Service was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive and the decor could easily transport the imagination back to a period two and a half centuries ago, when Annapolis was a thriving port on the Chesapeake Bay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our High Tea. Sat looking out of the window at the pouring rain while we drank our delicious tea and ate the scones and tea sandwiches. Yum!

With a total of four ladies, we had a sumptuous formal tea at Reynolds Tavern on a miserably rainy Friday afternoon. Our service was terrific. I highly recommend Reynolds Tavern for tea! It also looks like a lovely place for lunch or an evening meal. The outdoor dining area also looked appealing, but it wasn't a good day for that on that particular Friday.

Following a trip to England, I decided to take my dear friend for her birthday dinner to a British tavern... then needed to find one around Annapolis, MD! On the internet, up popped "Reynolds Tavern." Looked perfect.... and it was. We dined indoors, mid-week so the dining room was very quiet. Both our server and his service were impeccable... food delicious and beautifully presented. We asked for some low-carb substitutes and the chef gave several options from which to choose. Since I had made reservations with a birthday celebration note, our server even brought a chocolate covered strawberry with our french press coffees to celebrate. Downtown Annapolis is gorgeous and this tavern is an historic gem. Can't wait to return for high tea!

Reynolds Tavern is always a delight to visit. I take my granddaughters there for High Tea; they like it so much that they voted to make it a tradition. Now, every summer they visit, the last day of their stay with me is highlighted by an afternoon at Reynolds. I too k my sister there for her first tea; she loved it. The food is great. The staff is wonderful. You will not be disappointed

Only misstep in the beautiful lunch we had was the toasted bread that came with the steamed mussels in pesto cream sauce. The bread was cold and what ever was used as butter, I fear, was not. Tasted like cold oleo.Do you know how disappointing that is when there is not a decent sopping bread for that amazing sauce? The crab cakes were ok as well as the bun they were served on.I would not consider this a foodie destination.

historic property on church
historic property on church circle in the original capital of the US what a setting. food is quite good, one of the best in annapolis, which is not a great food town. we've been for lunch and afternoon tea. just a property not to be avoided.

heard good things, but
they didn't do it justice. The dining experience here was perfect, good ambiance, outstanding service, and the food was over the top. The crabcakes were among the best in town, and the blackened mahimahi special was superb. We will definitely be back.

We love coming here. Delicious food. Let my daughter have her own tea cup. At the end of the meal, the server seems to disappear when you need boxes and the check, but they don't come too often and other than the end, they are great. We come here as much as we can and do the colonial high tea. We got lucky that there were tables though because they had no record of our reservation. From now on, reservations will be made by phone. This is our most favorite restaurant.

A Historic Tavern
I came to Reynold's Tavern with my teenage granddaughter as a special night out from Baltimore. It was a bit too quiet early on (we came early as we were going to the theater), but livened up eventually. The food was excellent, and the service outstanding. The restaurant's a bit pricey, but for a special event like this it exactly met expectations.

Historic setting; needs better food
How can you not love eating in the historic Reynolds Tavern? This is where our founding fathers dined, and it is charming and cozy at the same time. The staff is friendly, the owner remembers you. These are all positives. Where it breaks down is the food, which remains just okay after a great start a dozen years ago. There is just something special lacking. I don't know why a place so famous and historic would have trouble finding a great chef, but that seems to be the case. I would still dine there, though; just stick to crab cakes or steak, something easy to prepare. And the outside, casual dining part continues to be a huge hit. Fun for the locals!

Reynolds Tavern was a historical gem and wonderful food in historic Annapolis. The pub in the cellar was a great place to go for an after dinner drink.

An old and historical tavern with lots of artifacts on display, I lived looking at all those items. The food was good especially the chocolate dessert. The waitress spoke too low so we had to get her to repeat everything twice but she was attentive. I would recommend it to family and friends.

We hadn't been to Reynolds Tavern in over 5 years and we wonderfully pleased with the experience! They are under new management and the owners were delightful! The dinner was excellent!!! We had a party of eight people after the Navy football game and the owners made the service work, even for a couple of stragglers. It was a great experience and we highly recommend it! enjoy!

I love the ambiance and menu
I love the ambiance and menu from Reynolds. The food was cold. It was prepared ahead of time and sat there for awhile. I do not send food back; I did not complain to the server. The other systemic thing I find with Reynolds is that if you have 2 people for dinner and an empty to one table filled front room; the servers offer you the tiny round tables by the windows. I would understand offering them when in a full house, but all the times I went to Reynolds Tavern for dinner or tea with a friend I get the same tiny table when the restaurant has plenty of 4 chairs tables and NOT one guest arrives there with enough people to fill all the tables. I have to ask the server to change tables after I take a good inventory of how full the place is.

Excellent and quaint
Had brunch here with some friends. They had quiches, which they said were very good. Wife had soup and salad and I had a chicken sandwich. Everything was very tasty. Family at the table next to us had the high tea which looked really good. Have to try that next time. Did not visit the bar but the restaurant is in a historic house on Church Circle (250+ years old). Very cool. Will be back.
