Foodie Eating Experience
Great food and a very fun venue. The Hamachi appetizer was very delicious. Nice place to meet for a well-mixed cocktail and delicious food.

Fit for Foodies
It is all about the food. Chef Goodell has a penchant for eclectic offerings. That said, finding beef tartare (my selection) in an "American Food" themed restaurant would seem a bit conventional to some, but this contradition seemed to work here. Noticeable was the provencal infusion within the design of the restaurant, consistent with Aubergine and his culinary routes. This fact supports my above statement. Unfortuantely, the dinner crowd was a bit sparse, at 5:30 PM on a weekday. The overwelming attention of staff, was positive though, as more of the dinner crowd started to fill in. For foodies, I give it a plus. I am a big fan of Red Pearl, another Domaine Group casual "gem".
I will absolutely return and recommend the Public to all.

Great Sunday Brunch
The Sunday Brunch Buffet was loaded with unique and very tasty items, not at all the usual steam table bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs. The server was charming, and attentive without being a nuisance. We will be back.

It has been years since we had dinner at the Roosevelt. I heard the Public Kitchen was getting good reviews, so I decided to treat my wife for her birthday. The place was hoping! We arrived about 7:00 and the pool party was just leaving, and when we made our way inside, we found a huge fund raising event. People everywhere and the sound level was a little intense. We entered the Public Kitchen and Bar and found a little haven of calm and style. The ambiance is smooth and comforting, the service is good and the food is better. I couldn't have asked for a better place to treat my wife for her birthday.

From the perfect Manhattan to the haddock, everything was done just the way I like it. I usually avoid hotel restaurants, but this one was a pleasant surprise.

I booked this location for my husband's birthday. We had a nice dinner and the ambience during the early dinner hour was quiet and engaging. The food is delicious and cooked to perfection, but I would have liked more menu options.
It's somewhat kid friendly, but there are no kid menu options. Kids aged 9 and over could adjust, but it would be nice to have kid choices as an option.
The wait staff are wonderful and you feel comfortable and at home.
Looking forward to attending one of their brunches.

Fun Little Brunch
I expected it to be super crowded and really high-falutin, but it wasn't at all! Great food, wish I had had enough room to eat my money's worth though!

Travel zoo voucher was a terrific deal. A whole bottle of champagne, wow! Also the Buffett was very unique... Not the usual boring omelets... But fun stuff like kale salad, yogurt parfait, frittata watermelon juice, etc. real good food and the service was superb. Can't wait to go back. Oh and I forgot ...free parking. Woohoo

Enjoyed the place and food,
Enjoyed the place and food, but it's definitely on the expensive side.

Did Not Disappoint
I purchased two certificates as birthday gifts from Travel Zoo for Sunday Brunch. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly valet staff and were very surprised by the opulent hotel decor. The restaurant was small and quaint. The food was amazing! I was glad to find chicken sausage as I am not a pork eater. The best part were the array of desserts. The portions were perfect so I was able to try them all without any going to waste. Fresh orange and watermelon juice with champagne to top off the day. Will definitely return.

Hollywood high note
We went prior to a show at the Dolby across the street at Hollywood and Highland. The food varied from very good to excellent with the duck breast and the cobbler clearly in the excellent rating. This is American with a little French twist. It was noisy, partly because of a large private group at a side room and also they were very busy and crowded. Salads were very creative also, especially the gem salad. Definitely will go back and recommend it as well to others.

Good Food, Odd Atmosphere
Restaurant opened a few minutes late, but they seated us quickly. The brunch food was very good, but they were out of eggs and bacon when I went thru the line. Staff were very efficient and gracious. Would have appreciated it if coffee was included in the travelzoo brunch deal.
The ambience was a bit odd. No music (the acoustics aren't good so music would probably make it impossible to hear one another) and it looked like every single table had a travelzoo voucher (you can tell because there is a bottle of Prosecco included). There was a long line of people out the door, dressed like they shopped at the West Covina mall, holding their printed vouchers. I think they should limit the number of vouchers they accept on a given morning.

In the fantastic Roosevelt Hotel, a lovely brunch with excellent, very tasty food. I will be curious to go back in the evening.

Fun for girls night out
Great cocktails and a diverse menu. Friendly, caring and efficient service is always the key, and there were no disappointments. I'd make this a hangout of I lived or worked in Hollywood

Loved every bite!
PK&B may be my new fav. Not what I would have expected from a Hollywood Landmark hotel restaurant. Our party of four was there to celebrate three birthdays. We started with the Parker rolls, freshly baked in a small tin and amazing stuffed potato balls. We enjoyed the scallops, lobster roll, cheeseburger and kale salad. Portion sizes were perfect. We split the rocky road and pear tart, both highly recommended. I was actually shocked when I got the bill--very reasonable for four. Comfort food at its best!

Tim Goodell hits it out of the park
All I can say was the scallop dish was one of the best dishes I have had in a long time. The steak tartare was sublime.

We had a wonderful time for dinner. The portions I found on par with any good restaurant, and at a far more reasonable price. We had the beef tartare and it was amazing, we both had the scallops: amazing! The rolls were delicious. We did not have dessert because we were off to an event and running late. The service was great from the hostess to the wait staff, and the decor is wonderful vintage hollywood; I don't understand people who did not "get it"... it seemed pretty clear to us, and we thought it was perfect considering the history of the hotel. I can see how it could be la little loud if it was packed, but it was pleasant when we were there. The drinks are not cheap, but good. Nice size pour on the wine. WIll be back for sure.

I was on a weekend trip to Hollywood with 2 girlfriends and we made reservations at the Roosevelt for brunch. The room was very nice, staff friendly and accommodating. The spread was elegant, not overdone, but we left full and enjoyed the food. Also a nice touch was that they offered a bloody mary bar and cantalope pineapple juice in additional to oj. We drank prosecco which was very nice. Wish I lived closer so I could become a regular! A must try in a famous hotel! Go!!!

A Nice Surprise
We took my son's GF to this place for her Birthday and it was really wonderful. The group ordered drinks that were well prepared and interesting. Terrific bartender. The food was also great. I had mussels, my wife chicken and the others steak. They were also excellent. The room itself was like the 1930's in this old Hollywood setting. I would actually go back to this place for the food, ambiance and drinks. Nice experience.

We enjoyed the food and the great service. The place was not crowded; and the manager told us about the history of the hotel. We walked around and enjoyed the preserved location. The food was very tasty and had extra touches. Horseradish potatoes; wild rice stuffing, and many choices for each course.
