Hats off to the CHEFS!
The Steak Diane cooked to perfection, salads were plentiful. All out a good experience. The drive from Dublin was well worth the trip and will be looking forward to our next visit. We came here to have a nice Dinner and thats what it was. The waitress was great and back in the kitchen where it all happens resulted in a well thought out presentation. Hats off to the CHEFS,they are tuned in on their careers and the pride shows at the table.

We went to the Granville Inn for Easter brunch for the third year and it was wonderful as always. There was a very nice selection of salads, cheeses, fruit, hot and cold dishes and all were very fresh and well prepared. I would say this buffet is quality over quantity and there are plenty of things to choose from. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is always very pleasant.

Great place to bring our 7
Great place to bring our 7 year old daughter for a "fancy" dining experience. Excellent food and have offerings for kids beyond the usual kid menu stuff.

Mother's Day Buffet
Three of us went to the Mother's Day Buffet. I had not previously been here so was unsure what to expect. While the hot entree options seemed just a bit limited - the food was good and the service attentive. The desserts were fantastic. We spent a couple of hours between the lunch and dinner timeframe so we experienced a more lively atmosphere as well as a quiet subdued one. Would definitely return.

Tasty meal, they were actually out of 1 menu item (still early in evening) & out of 1 type of drink special from the bar. The service was a bit slow, but as mentioned the food was very good.

The food was nicely presented and delicious

The Summer bar special menu had some wonderful drinks

Great for that special occasion
Second date with a very nice lady, wanted somewhere special. The Granville Inn provided just that. Very quiet, although not busy that night. Service was excellent, and the duck was some of the best I've had. The Granville In is perfect for that special occasion.

Food was great as well as our professional server. It makes all the difference when a restaurant has a good wait staff to go along with great food

We had the Ohio walleye and the braised pork. Both were cooked to perfection. The beet salad and the caesar salad were perfect. The service was impeccable. We would recommend this to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or a romantic dinner date.

A formal décor and subdued
A formal décor and subdued atmosphere make for a pleasant experience for couples looking for a quiet dinner out. My wife and I enjoyed our food very much. Her filet was cooked very well and the braised Ohio Berkshire pork was a pleasant and unique change of pace on a menu that can be somewhat traditional. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Dining in Style
We enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere at the Granville Inn. It is a nice place for groups because we were able to talk to all of our party and not have a lot of background noises. I have been there several times with groups for special occasions. I already have a private dining room reserved for our Christmas dinner.

Tried it mid-week...
We were just out for a drive for the day and ended up here for an early dinner. LOVELY lovely place. Food is good to very good, service was top. Wish it wasn't so far from home--we'd dine there more often.

A Memorable Experience
The Oak Room has a congenial ambiance. The wait staff was quite friendly, efficient, and helpful. The onion soup was up to French standard. I was happily surprised to discover The Chintz Room Chicken Salad on the menu. It brought back memories of my trips to the old downtown Lazarus with my Aunt Margaret when I was young. Having lunch in the Chintz Room was a special highlight of the day. Creme Brulee is my very favorite dessert. I'm happy to say that the Oak Room chef prepared it to perfection.

The Craftsman architecture and wood paneling give the oak room a throw back feeling and the dining borders on elegant. It is a nice place to dine a few times a year and works well for special occasions. The food is prepared well with a few upscale touches and is generally satisfying. Take old friends as it seems to work best for small to medium size groups. Based on the open dining room I wouldn't call it intimate for couples. Food was a tad on the expensive side compared to similar venues in Columbus but you are paying for the ambiance as well as the food. Only down side is others around us were served bread even those who came in considerably after us and then we were told that they had run out of bread.

Dinner with Special Friends
We have been to Granville Inn numerous times and love its' charm and history. A beautiful place to meet special friends for dinner and special occassions. The meals are always great and the staff is wonderful. Parking is always a challenge but can be overcome within a couple of blocks. It is well worth the drive.

Our group of 9 men & women thoroughly enjoyed our leisurely lunch. Conversation melded between those that know each other and those that did not. This is, in part, due to the inn's atmosphere. thank you for that and much more.

20 years later
We celebrated our 20th anniversary in the place that started us off on our wedding day. I tried the 1924 menu and it was delicious. My husband had the salmon and said it was awesome! We had a bottle of wine which was quite tasty and our waiter (Dustin/Dusty?) was on top of things and friendly! All in all a very enjoyable way to celebrate 20 years of marriage.

Loved the porch and eating outdoors. Food was wonderful and service was good. A little confused about the dress code ... listed as smart casual ... no one at the loud table nearby looked all that dressed up.

Not cheap but we knew that going in. Food was phenominal and worth every penny. Unique beer list to say the least.

Great spot, good food, but ...
We ate at the Oak Room as part of a package we booked to stay for a fall weekend getaway. Everything was good, but both entrees were not up to the quality of the appetizers and salads which were excellent. I had the pull pork that was served over sweet potato relish in a sort of cake lump. It was not very flavorful and was very dry. My wife had a marvelous looking piece of Salmon that had a pecan dusting and was sweet to the taste, almost overpowering the Salmon.
The package included breakfast - which was a continental (not worth the price)

Great for lunch!
We had a small family lunch to celebrate a birthday. The food was great (clam chowder and smoked chicken quesadilla, especially). Atmosphere was quiet, but not too quiet, for comfortable conversation. Service was a little slow, especially with payment, but otherwise a lovely (and reasonably priced) lunch destination.

Lovely venue and wonderful food.
A lovely place to eat. Staff are wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable. They do not rush you through the meal and all the food was wonderful in taste and presentation.

We were thrilled to find a cancellation so that we could visit The Granville Inn once again for Thanksgiving. The service, food, and atmosphere are perfect for our annual celebration of gratitude.

Dinner with wife and sister-in-law
A very good meal with excellent service and I really liked the Malbac glass of wine. We were there the Sunday evening after Thanksgiving and there were only three other tables dining, two celebrating their first Anniversaries. Lowered rating on Ambience due to so few diners in such a large room and the carpet in the stairway to the rest rooms is way past its service lifetime, but the fireplace was going and the service was excellent. I think now that Denison University owns it the Inn and restaurant will soon get its long needed face lift. This Inn is such a treasure for Granville and I hope more of the community will support it.

Worth the drive!
We came to the Granville Inn as a part of our annual girls' Christmas get-away. We were all so impressed with the amazing food, excellent service, and beautiful surroundings of the Inn. After traveling from Dayton, Ohio the Granville Inn was most definitely everything we had hoped to find for our annual Christmas outing location. As a matter of fact, all we talked about the following day was how much we had all enjoyed our evening. Perfect in every way!

Best Brunch Ever
We have eaten at The Granville Inn many times with varying degrees of food quality, but recently we had Sunday brunch and it was out of this world. The menu has wonderful items to choose from. We started with the Apple Fritters which were crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside. Very good. I ordered the Stuffed French Toast, my husband the Butterscotch/Pecan Pancakes, and my son the Eggs Benedict. Plus we had Potatoes Lyonnaise on the side. We each sampled the other's order and they were all excellent. Perfect mix of ingredients, cooked exactly right. The meal was a feast for a very special occasion.
