Great food, casual atmosphere, lovely outdoor seating, good fairly-priced wine list. It's a perfect place for a summer meal.

Excellent Food And Great Service
In a city of many fine restaurants, Brasserie T! is exceptional. The food is high quality, expertly prepared, and impeccably served. The wine list is very solid although modestly priced selection is limited. The best part of the restaurant is the wait staff who were uniformly energetic, friendly, and efficient.

Overall Good ... Service Lacking
My boyfriend and I decided to dine here before a comedy show. W/ resevations at 9: 30we were seated promptly on the terrasse.
The ambiance is great. The restaurant resembles a shipping container on the sidewalk. Floor to ceiling windows give it an airy feel. Wood accents warm it up.
I had the Salmon tartar w/ fries and the boyfriend chose the flank steak w/ a salad. Escargot to start. The food was good. Great flavor, fresh and meat was cooked to proper temperarture.
However... our apps came before our bottle of wine which in my opinion is a big NO NO. The waiter clearly forgot about it which is very uncomfortable for the diners. Having to remind a waiter about a bottle of wine is awkward
Hopefully this was an isolated incident.

A modern twist on the pub
The restaurant itself is fun, a rectangular glass box, gives a one of a kind experience with lots of natural light coming in. Very close to the Quartier des Spectacles, it's a very good choice just before a show. The food is simple but delicious, portion are good and satisfying. We really liked the ambiance and the place and we probably will want to go back with more time to enjoy it to the fullest.

Great spot for lunch
We've been several time and the food is always good. It is a great spot for lunch or if you're going to a show. Well worrh it.

Excellente table d'hôte
Vraiment excellent ! Bravo !

Unique restaurant in Montreal; a city of many restaurants. Great food, service excellent, very welcoming. A limited menu, but one that allows you to try several items and share. Do yourself a favor...go!

We were a group of three --
We were a group of three -- two adults and a 14 year old. We all loved the place, loved our meals and were very impressed with our pleasant and smart waitress. The food was fresh and beautifully prepared. The crowd was young and hip and out for a casual good time. Good vibes all 'round. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

On y retourne assurément.

This was my first trip to montreal in about 24 years. I cant believe i waited this long to come back. I took my oldest daughter up to see Osheaga, and i wanted her to experience dining that we just dont have in NB. Brasserie T! Was perfect. The food was imaginative and excellent and our waiter was outstanding. Attentive, friendly and informative, he definitely made our experience a great one. Looking forward to coming back!!

Great Intro to Montreal Dining
We were on a short visit to Montreal and wanted to try something that would remind us we were outside of the States. Brasserie T was welcoming, the staff were warm and helpful, and the food was excellent. We started with smoked haddock and moved on to Coquilles St. Jacques, pork ribs and chicken for the main courses. Rhubarb tartes made a great finish to the meal. We would definitely recommend to other diners.
8/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
Seared fois gras, beef and salmon tartare were all exceptional.
8/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
I would recommend to create felt type atmosphere whit lounge music.
8/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
Trendy and tasty
Excellent food in streamlined modern decor. Friendly service was not intrusive to conversation.
8/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
Order the seared foie gras..twice!
The seared foie gras was the star of the night. The main courses paled in comparison. In fact, my husband ordered it again for his dessert!
8/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
Good as always
See previous comment, except this time service was amazing
Very good price/value
Sure shot as always

Good downtown option
The food was very good and creative, but the service was slightly indifferent at times. The décor is functional, but the noise level in the dining room is quite high and makes normal conversation challenging.

brasserie T! for TOPS!
A bit odd from the outside - a little glass box attached to the Arts Centre, but once inside you forgot that. Small ,intimate , great patio over-looking the dancing water fountains in the square . Decided on the special for two - a huge rib steak (more like a roast in size) with wonderful accompaniments - perfect french fries, ratatoullie, amazing fennel/green salad with smoked stuirgeon and bernaisse sauce to go with the perfectly cooked steak. All for only $70!! A bargain and so much food we could hardly finish it. No room for dessert. Would definitely go back. Would recommend it to anyone going to Montreal.

Sister to Le Toque which is in a business district, this restaurant is small but has both an indoor section and a patio overlooking a vibrant open and artistic district with a fountain that runs a city block. The food was outstanding as expected but may be a bit pricey for some. We were entertained by the crowd gathering (good for people watchers) and the fountain puts on quite a light show in the evening. Easy walking distance from many parts of the downtown. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful.

As a regular I have to say that Brasserie T is always a very good experience. The menu is thoughtfully produced and well prepared with plenty of variety. The staff are knowledgeable , professional, friendly and welcoming. The restaurant provides excellent quality and value for money.

ooops! we did it again
Went with a gift certificate we had gotten it when my friend gave a less than glowing review from our first visit... Her burger came with no bacon and when she asked about it they took the entire plate and came back a while later with a plate with cold fries and pretty much cold everything except for the hot bacon... We went for brunch but no brunch menu. Who doesn't serve brunch to an 11:45am sunday reservation? service was great (much better than previous visit) and food was good (someone got the salmon and said it was the best he'd ever had in his life). However, my friend ordered the cheeseburger with bacon and when it arrived it was baconless again. She didn't complain and bacon arrived when she had finished about 1/2 of the burger...

I had a great TunaTartare. It was wonderful followed by a salmon!
9/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
My wife and I enjoyed the time at T. Food was very good. A bit pricy but well worth it. Very quiet when we were there, I guess totally different during the festival. We would return.

Oh so Montreal!
Our Birthday dinner was perfect. Brasserie T provided a backdrop and food that was current, modern and chic. Being from the southern US, the contemporary presentation epitomizes what I love about Montreal. Thanks!
9/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
Good food, good service, good drinks!
Would go back.
10/1/2013 12:00:00 AM
10/1/2013 12:00:00 AM
Brasserie T had good food and good service, and I would recommend this place to a friend.
10/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
Tiny restaurant. Reservations are needed. Had tartare Au saumon with salad. Even for a picky fish eater, it was very delicious. Highly recommended!
Although busy, the service was not rushed at all.
A very enjoyable lunch with friends.
10/11/2013 12:00:00 AM
Excellent repas brasserie

My wife and I ate dinner here
My wife and I ate dinner here when we visited Montreal. Couldn't be happier with the food, service, etc. Everything was exceptional. Sound advice: make a reservation before going out, they'll seat you right away. Others who didn't have a reservation had to wait at least 20 minutes.
10/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
We brought our out-of-town guests for lunch on a Sunday prior to the OSM Concert. Everything was just perfect...food, ambience, wine and SERVICE!
10/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
Quanit & Quality
For a spot without a kitchen, Brasserie T did not lack quality in food. The restaurant is rather calm and quiet which may be a result of the off'site kitchen (located at Toqué!). A great find for a random Tuesday night.
10/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
In the heart of the arts district, offers more of an art gallery type atmosphere. Our reservations were at 8:15, but we arrived early at 7:45 and our table was ready for us, which was nice. The food was good but expensive, the fresh oysters and the fois gras were amazing. Fois gras came with a delicious hazelnut pureé and pear raisin compote. For dinner- Coquille St Jacques, which was incredible, and salmon with fennel salad which was also very delicious, but the portions were small. Don't order the fried cheese. Over all a very good place, not sure if it would be my first place to return to, too many cool quaint places to choose from in Montreal, but excellent for a pre-show dinner, play/orchestra is literally next door to it.
10/18/2013 12:00:00 AM
We were 3 and each of us found
We were 3 and each of us found the food to our expectations. The charcuterie was excellent ; i enjoyed the salmon tartare ; the salmon dish was ver y good
Desert was OK , but we did not go for the sweets.
Overall a very nice experience in a great locale.

Best restaurant in the neighborhood
Excellent food, at surprisingly affordable prices.
10/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
Was recommended to Brasserie T by one of the Chefs at work. Everything she mentioned about this place lived up to the wonderful dining experience we enjoyed!
10/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
A bit loud
A perfect place to get great simple food wirh abspecial twist! Be aware, place is tiny, so very loud and no privacy since you are soo close to each other.

We had lunch & the salmon
We had lunch & the salmon tartar was excellent. Being part of the Toqué
we expected to be nothong less. Too bad we were pressed for time, I would
Have liked to try one of their deserts.
Will certainly be back.

Edgy and Worth it
My main course was skate fish with Jerusalem artichokes and a flavoured mayonnaise. Skate has big bones distributed like a big fin, so one had to scrape the fish off the bone with a fork. A disappointing surprise but the taste of the skate with the mayonnaise was worth the effort. Jerusalem artichokes well paired with the dish but I usually avoid them due to reputation for causing massive amounts of gas. Edgy but it works if one as a customer is willing to do a bit of work. The other dishes well prepared. Especially appreciated coup de grisou beer on tap. Can't be found in Ontario , a great buckwheat ale wiith cardamom, made better by its freshness on tap here. Not a cheap lunch for 4 ($230 in total) but worth it.
11/2/2013 5:00:00 PM
11/4/2013 4:00:00 PM
Fun, vibrant atmosphere, interesting food, complex flavours. Only my creme caramel was less expected, I was sorry I did not choose the same dessert as my husband--the brownie which had outstanding vanilla ice cream and very chocolatey, fudgey brownies the beets were delicious but not plentiful--I would have preferred more beets, forget the goat,s cheese and greasy little chips. Pork on mushrooms was delicious. Good bread but not warm. Very friendly service without bothering constantly. Nice wine--Chablis by the glass. Altogether a pleasing experience. Will go again.

Great way to end a crazy day
Vibrant energy, great service, upscale Brasserie Food. True mirror of its Mother House, Le Toque!
The Salmon tartar never ceases to please, I actually order the same entree every time I go. Smooth, nice texture, truly delightful. The accompanying local wine suggested by our dynamic waitress was a hit, so smooth, we almost ordered a second! (Wouldn't be too productive the next day at the office...)
The piglet (porcellait) was slightly over-cooked(I prefer mine pink) but the taste was fab! The tartellette au panet was oh so smooth and tasty,,,, A sublime ending with their famous creme brulee, one of the best I've ever had.
Great hub for a pre-show lunch or dinner, or great after show night cap! Scores A for me!
11/13/2013 4:00:00 PM

Was here last in the summer
Was here last in the summer and ambience was much better as the plaza was full and provided a much more vibrant scene. In the late fall, the it was far more quiet and bordered on dreary. The food and service always tops.
11/22/2013 4:00:00 PM
the location (corner Jeanne Mance and St Catherine) is perfect for an after work gathering/pre-show dinner. The restaurant is a glass box with views of the surrounding street scene with an atmosphere to match.
11/25/2013 4:00:00 PM
Good place to have lunch!
Food is very good and you have alot of choices, diverse items on the menu. Salads, Fish, Hamburgers, ribs.
The service is friendly and very efficient. Love to go for lunch.
