Staff was fun and friendly!
Staff was fun and friendly! Food was good - we had a couple of the appetizers and thought they may have been better served warm. Will definitely return for another fun night.

Fantastic Neighborhood Restaurant
My wife and I had a great time. We live in the Capital Hill Neighborhood and will be back soon.

One of my favorites!
One of my favorites that my wife and I go back to again and again! Best wine list I have had in Denver! I really like the new menu too: lots of small plate options: I can choose two small plates for dinner and have some extra variety, or go for the full entree. They recently added a wide variety of imported cheese options which I really like. One of the small plates I had was potatoes with camembert cheese and a fig jam - awesome!
I really enjoy the wait staff at Satchels - attentive, friendly and fun. It's great to walk into a restaurant and feel sincerely welcome. For me, Satchel's gets it just right!

We are thrilled to have a neighborhood gem right next to our favorite meat store in town. Oliver's! Satchels' intimate, brick-clad space is charming with a great bar, warm reception and superb food...

Great addition to the neighborhood
This is a charming, casual dining option for the neighborhood. Efficient, friendly service. This is not a "fine dining" experience, nor is it meant to be. Simple, well prepared menu, wine and beer. Adequate parking which can be a real plus in this part of town.

Experience was great
We were a group of 6 and were quite comfortable at our table. Service was excellent... extremely friendly staff. Food was delicious. Only glitch was a long wait for one item, but it was acknowledged and given to us on the house. Two of us live in the neighborhood and were able to walk to and from the restaurant which was awesome.

Denver's Best Kept Secret
Satchels is Denver's best kept secret, so don't tell the people in the 'burbs. The menu is fantastic and Andrew, the owner, is always mingling in the restaurant chatting with patrons, which really gives Satchels a personal touch.

can't wait to go back
Had read about satchel's and decided to try it for lunch when my husband and I had business in the area. Walked in to a completely empty place - all those standing in line around the corner in Cherry Creek North should go for a little walk instead! A quick bite turned into a two hour delight! We shared a great Willamette Valley pinot and small plates of stuffed dates, lamb lollipops and fresh, flash fried zucchini blossoms. The subtle seasonings and combos of flavors are just enough to add interest but not overpower. The chef and owner took time to hang with us - yes we were the only customers, but they have such great personalities and passion for their work when it's crowded you will feel that personal touch. GO!

On a date we enjoyed 3 small plates to share and a glass of champagne. Every morsel was delicious and service from Jean-Philppe couldn't have been better. Will definitely be going back for another romantic meal and some time at the cozy feeling bar.

Exquisite little tucked-away spot
Though I'd been before, I was excited to try Satchel's anew with a more recent addition of their new chef, seasonally changed menu, and more seasoned and established staff and location now that it has been open for a little while. The food delivered: from the fresh grilled watermellon and delicately fried squash blossoms, to the steak cooked spot-on how we ordered it, we were so entirely satisfied. And the staff, ever attentive and friendly, makes you feel as if you're part of the family. Do yourself a favor and check out Satchel's on 6th.

Wonderful & Veg Friendly
I live really close to here & had never even noticed this restaurant tucked there on 6th. Everything was incredible. They had multiple spectacular vegetarian options. Additionally, the entire staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The selection of small plates was mouth-watering! It would definitely be fun to go back another time to have some wine & small plates! The chef even came out to talk to us about what we had ordered and discussed how he had just picked up most items that morning at the farmers market. I will be back here many times!

amazing food and stellar service
Food was so fresh and flavorful. Our table wasn't quite ready when we arrived, and they poured us free champagne while we waited and were perfectly attentive. Needless to say, our party got pretty lively off the champagne and another bottle of wine, but they were always patient and gracious. Thank you for a perfect night!

We had a great time at the paella community dinner. The food was fun, and delicious. The community spirit was friendly and warm. I appreciate that Satchel's hosts these gems. They are to be commended.

Terrific neighborhood spot
Neighbors in Cherry Creek, Congress Park, Cheesman Park and Country Club should be flocking to this wonderful small restaurant on 6th Ave. Food is creative and always delicious with reasonable portions and fair prices. 3 of us shared mussels (best broth I've ever had so we sopped up every drop with extra bread), stuffed squash blossoms, figs and blue cheese, duck fat fries and watermelon and feta salad, and had room left for the not-to-be-missed peach and blueberry galette. At $12 it seemed steep for a dessert, but what arrived was a plate size open face pastry, tilled with juicy fruit and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, easily big enough for 2-4 to share.

Finally made it to Satchel's. Food was delicious- beautiful & well prepared. Squash blossoms were fantastic! Friendly, helpful service. Tapas or large plates allow for sharing, or not. Will definately go back to try more from the menu. Ambience is fine, but small space with tiny tables & chairs limit comfort a bit. Still, food may become a habit!

Stachel's on 6th - Delicious
Satchel's on the 6th was amazing. The food and wine were wonderful. There wasn't a single bit left on any of the plates. The service was incredible. I have a gluten allergy and our waiter was knowledgeable and accommodating. We can't wait to go back.

A friend and I went for lunch
A friend and I went for lunch on a Friday afternoon before a movie. There was no one there but the staff so we felt a little concern. But Jon Pierre was very attentive. He said they are very busy in the evenings but not so much for lunch. It was the Friday around the flooding so perhaps people were busy with other things. The food was superb. I had the bass and my friend the steak frites and we were both very happy with our meals and the service.

Night out with the In-laws
Had a good, but not great meal at Satchel's this past weekend. My wife had eaten here before, but no one else in our party had ever been. The specialty cocktail menu was interesting and the wine list looked decent. I had a cocktail called "Candy Man" and true to it's name it tasted a lot like cotton candy.
Our four-some shared the charcuterie board. The meats were all great. I especially enjoyed the marinated mushrooms. For an entree I had the lamb burger. I enjoyed the burger, but it came out a little over cooked, I asked for medium. My wife loved her duck entree, but my in-laws were less enthusiastic about the Trifecta and the Brooks. Overall we enjoyed our meal and I will be back.

Satchel's is a fine neighborhood restaurant that hasn't yet disappointed. The food is reliably good, portions are the perfect size, especially for reasonable appetites, and service is friendly. Good to have it in the neighborhood!
