Wish I could go Daily..
This was a pleasant surprise that we never would have found if we didn't need a place to hang out while waiting for our son to see a concert at the Filmore. The food was great. Being a vegan it is sometimes hard to find a place with good selections. Well this was it! My husband was thrilled as well and most of all it was a great deal for GREAT food! We will definitely make the trek from Northern Virginia to Silver Spring just to visit this gem of a restaurant!

Great neighborhood cafe
The Daily is a great little neighborhood cafe. The menu has a good selection of well cooked food, the beer list is small but has great choices, and the servers are very friendly. We will be back.

The food was great. I had
The food was great. I had seen earlier reviews of poor service. They have definitely stepped that up. Only a few glitches that were immediately resolved. (no silverware when we were seated, forgot the barbeque sauce) We will go there again. Love the emphasis and local and fresh.

Organic salmon ripieghi was
Organic salmon ripieghi was seared just right - moist & tasty. Ditto for the salmon salad. The bread, baked in house, was similar to a puffy pita & had that wonderful freshly baked taste. The waitress checked on us multiple times while we waited for our other luncheon guest. I like that the salmon was organic and that the restaurant emphasizes local.

Wow - Where did this Gem come from
What a pleasant surprise. This was exactly the type of restaurant that I have been looking for in my neighborhood. Great food, fresh selection, unique experience. this is a place that I can bring people to and wow them with how upscale yet accessible my area is. The vegetables and produce was extremely fresh. The menu was eclectic and appetizing. They had great specials and values. Kid-friendly. The only knock was a fairly slow and inept wait-person. But I think that he was an exception. I look forward to making this place my own.

Mothers Day Brunch
Very well prepared brunch food from menu with good variety served a little slowly but it was crowded for Mothers Day.

best neighborhood gem
almost do not want to write a review and have others find ou favorite neighborhood gem!

Excellent brunch fair! Food was very fresh! The staff was very accommodating to create a meal for a "sensitive" child eater in our party. This will become one of our favorite brunch spots.

Have been here twice for brunch,
Have been here twice for brunch, will certainly return. I love the breakfast sandwich on a bagel, and the poached eggs portabello are delicious. My date had an omelette and he loved it.
Fun selection of mimosas. The bloody mary bar is a little overpriced considering you have to make it yourself.
Service suffers a little bit when busy; servers can't be as attentive but still very friendly. I'm lucky I live close by, will introduce this gem to many friends and family!

They get a lot of their produce from Lancaster, PA - great food and service.

Fun find for Sunday brunch
While back home in Wheaton to visit my folks, I sought a reasonably priced brunch place that didn't require a major cash outlay and offered a variety of menu items. We found the perfect spot in The Daily Dish. All of us had the Chesapeake Eggs Benedict. Yum! The physical atmosphere reminded us of a place near my daughter's home in New Orleans, the Panola St. Cafe, as did the eclectic menu. I hope to be back soon to The Daily Dish!

Wine and food
Innovative and fairly priced wine list. Fresh ingredients - enjoyed the veggie stuffed grilled portobello and slider appetizers -- extremely flavorful beef. Mashed potatoes could use a little kick from additional salt and pepper. The scallops are not to be missed - done any way, though simply seared allowed their sweet flavor to shine through. The mixed berry tart was just the right size to end the meal, and it was suitably tart with recognizable fruit - no simple syrup taste/consistency in this little gem.

Go-to neighborhood spot
We took friends to Daily Dish for dinner, and we all enjoyed it. The friendliness and the range of offerings, from sandwiches to full, carefully-prepared entrees, makes it a place we count on. The staff is always helpful, and attentive without being cloying.
This trip we enjoyed crab cakes (minimal filler!), wonderfully fresh rockfish, an innovative gazpacho, and ribs. And, always my husband's choice, peach pie.

This is a great neighborhood find, a gem tucked away in a residential area. The service is always friendly and attentive. The food is made fresh for each order. They buy from local farms and waters, and you can taste the difference. Portions are just right.

good food and great service
I ordered the bacon frittata and my boyfriend got the challah french toast. I thought the frittata was good but the challah french toast was delicious. He had salted caramel ice cream on the side which was such a great combination. I'd go here again.

Never had a bad meal here!
No matter when I have been and who I have been with, everyone has raved about this little gem of a restaurant. Brunch, lunch, dinner, patio or inside...it's always good and special. Go before you are starving since good fresh food takes time to prepare. Great assortment of varied foods. Wonderful Sangria & Coffee. Desserts are superb.....can not say enough good things about The Daily Dish!

Perfect way to start the weekend!
I had brunch with a girlfriend of mine on Saturday. We arrived at Daily Dish at about 9 am and did not leave until almost noon! We enjoyed sitting on the outdoor deck in the front of the restaurant. The ginger scones were fantastic! We shared 3 of them! My friend had the salmon hash w/eggs and I had crab cake eggs benedict...yum! I started with a cocktail... yes quite early, but hey... it's the weekend. Then finished with a well executed latte. I noticed signs for a take home and bake pizza. I will have to come back and try more!

warm night- seating both inside and out with the inside feeling like the outside. 1/2 price bottle wine on Tuesday - great- and the food was suprisingly terrific. Great neighborhood place for casual but quality food

Fantastic low key night out
I love the Daily Dish - they are a wonderful neighborhood spot for folks living in Silver Spring. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good, healthy food and a desire to support locally owned establishments (including the beer offerings!). I recommend any dish involving fish or chicken.

Good place to eat on a nice day
My boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere to have a quick breakfast and found this place on Yelp so we gave it a try. It was a beautiful morning and they had the "garage door" (which makes up a wall of the restaurant) open, but we just sat outside under their little covered patio. It wasn't very busy and service was good, and we both enjoyed our meals. They have a nice full brunch menu with all the go-to meals, as well as brunch drinks, although we didn't try those since we were just there for a quick meal. We were also delighted to find that dogs were allowed on the patio!

My hubby and I had a wonderful dinner on Saturday night - we started with the beef sliders and caesar salad, then I had the butternut squash risotto, and he had the pepperoni & sausage pizza. It was empty when we got there around 6:00, but it picked up and was about half-full when we left - my guess is because of the holiday weekend. Staff was very attentive and responsive. Not exactly a warm and fuzzy type of place, but good spot for tasty and different food. Would go back again. :)
