Eat like a local
I met the local vegetable grower delivering fresh produce as I walked past the restaurant in the afternoon. After eyeing his greens, I knew this was the place to eat. I was right. Great attention to details.

Valentine's Day delight
My husband and I went here for Valentine's day. The place was packed but the service was good. We tried kangaroo, which turned out to be delicious as was the duck. I would definitely go back again.

We took a friend from out-of-town
We took a friend from out-of-town who is a hard-to-please foodie. He was very complimentary. And the friendly service was about as good as it gets. We will be back.

EXCELLENT DINING EXPERIENCE
Came from 70 miles away to Celebrate my Wife's Birthday in the Pinehurst area. We could not have asked for a better dining experience. The food and service exceeded the first time we dined there. The first time we were impressed enough to come back for a special occasion and we are so glad we did.
My wife's lamb dinner, according to her, was the best she has had.

A Great Evening Out
We had a party of 4 and the entire evening was a delight. Seating was on time, as we arrived at 8pm, Drinks were just right and dining was outstanding. Service was over the top and the interaction with Chef Warren and Maryann was great and really made the whole evening special.

The absolute place to go!
My wife and I always go to Chef Warren's for special occassions, which include taking out of town visitors for dinner, birthdays, and most recently, our wedding anniversary. The food is execpetional, the service is the best I have seen, and the atmosphere is very warm and inviting. A great wine and desert selection is the cherry on top. I always recommend Chef Warren's first to my friends when they are seeking a GREAT restaurant.

ANOTHER FANTASTIC MEAL!
Our thanks to Chef Warren and all the staff members who make this such a special place. Our party enjoyed a wonderful meal, they always have interesting specials to tempt and delight us. The bison seemed to be the outstanding favourite this time, so flavourful and everything just worked so well together. We always leave Chef Warrens looking forward to our next visit.

Mother's Day Special
Drove up from Laurinburg for a Mother's day dinner. Was busy at 6:30pm when we arrived. Sat immediately, but waiter was a bit slow all night with menu, taking our order, etc. Wine by the glass is about $8 for average wines. Bread was provided freely and was tasty. Everything is a la carte, For the entry price of entrees on up to special of the night @ $34 one should at least get a small side salad. Portions are plentiful for even two with small appetites. Just don't mention the word "split" as there is a $3 kitchen split fee. Tapas are really more like large-small plates. Our company of 4 ordered 3 entrees and a Tapas and all were fed to capacity. No room for dessert. Maybe next time.

We were visiting the area
We were visiting the area and tried Chef Warren's to celebrate a birthday - the evening was wonderful with nothing but rave reviews for the food and dining experience. Only comment- all food is prepared in the dining room so you may notice that your clothing smell like cooking when you leave the restaurant.

Wanted a unique dining experience to celebrate an anniversary. Chef Warren's was the perfect choice. We think of ourselves as foodies and CW's met our expectations. Looking forward to our next visit.

Pleasant Evening on First Friday
Four friends dine out each month on a Girls Night Out. Our selection for July happened to be on First Friday, which is a busy time in Southern Pines. We chose a perfect place to dine on that celebratory occasion, namely Chef Warren's. The restaurant was busy but the noise level was moderate and the service was speedy. The four "Girls" involved in our night out selected fish and chips, and soups and salads. The onion soup was particularly good and hearty. The salads were more than ample and the fish was sizable and flaky. Everyone enjoyed our monthly selection.

Nice way to end the day
The food was wonderful! Everything was done o perfection. Te staff cared about guest comfort and answered all questions.
Wine selections were good . I knew we were going to have a great meal when the couple at the table next to us during a conversation said they go to the restaurant each week.

Great special occasion restaurant. Friendly and typically strike up a conversation with someone there too. Always a good time.

Excellent !! Highly Recommended !!
We felt like we were on vacation without going out of town...We were greeted and felt welcome by the enthusiastic staff, and the owner...The menu had something for all of us (party of 4)...The timing was good and all of our courses were tasty...We have been here a few times and the owner remembered where we like to sit and what we like to drink...We were treated, in the middle of a busy evening, as if we were their sole focus...A must dine spot in Southern Pines/Pinehurst...

Chef Warren's best of the area.
Interestingly, when my wife and I tried calling to get a reservation at Chef Warren's, we could not get a live person on the phone, so we made the reservation through OpenTable. Although there was nothing available for the night we wanted, or the next night so night # 3 was it. We expected the place to be full, but quite the opposite. It was a Wednesday night, but there were only about 6 or 7 tables taken so we could figure out why we could get in the previous nights, and wondered if we had made a mistake. We hadn't. The food was awesome. All of it. The prices were reasonable. The service was pretty good and overall we had a great meal and happy we were persistent enough to keep it on our schedule.

Favorite local place for the wife and I...celebrated thriteenth anniverary a few days early (because Saturday is always better for celebration than Monday!) Mixed "soft taco" app was wonderful - preferred the portabella over the crab (surprisingly) and the duck with the fig chocolate sauce was simply sublime. Always save room for dessert when dining at Warren's - Salted Caramel Creme Brulee may be a new favorite after Saturday :)

We enjoyed it, but . . .
The portions were more than adequate and the main courses were very good. Our only negative comment was the French Onion Soup was somewhat cloying.........way too much cheese, and somehow it was too sweet. Some sherry in it would help, and less cheese; could hardly find any broth. The kangaroo appetizer was interesting, and good. So, now we've had that. Duck and salmon entrees were very good, but again, too plentiful. Although it's not a bad thing to take enough home for another meal or two!

WONDERFUL meal at Chef Warren's...
My wife and I have been dining at Chef Warren's for several years. The service is excellent and the food is always wonderful!! We appreciate that everyone is very friendly but not intrusive. The Bistro Salad was fabulous and the "obscenely huge" pork chop did not disappoint us. BRAVO !!!!

The best in Southern Pines
My experience at Chef Warren's is always incredible. The food is fantastic and the service is top notch. One of my favorite aspects of this restaurant is the focused menu. Some might call it "small" or "limited," but I believe that having only a handful of dishes allows them to focus their efforts and showcase the seasonal selections. Chef Warren's is easily the best restaurant in Southern Pines.

This restaurant was excellent. You can tell the food was prepared with thought and care. The menu was very unique - not overpriced, typical food. I loved the creativity! Out of all the menus I studied in Southern Pines, Chef Warren's seemed like the best, and I was not disappointed.

a local gem
Chef Warren's has the perfect ambiance: the lighting, seating arrangement, faint music in the background is divine. The service was impeccable: staff was knowledgeable and still personable. The bench seating, along one main wall of the restaurant, is comfortable and the throw pillows add to your relaxation.the misconception that local "farm to chef" experience comes with a hefty price is shattered with the multiple dishes that are available for under $20. the bread and soups are worth the visit alone. The menu is eclectic and can entice anyone to indulge. even with an open kitchen, the level of professionalism is never compromised. Chef Warren's is a great choice for all occasions.

4th Anniversary dinner
We had a great experience. The entrées and even the appetizers were so unique. I mean who else has kangaroo? It just tasted so amazing. This was my wife and I's fourth wedding anniversary and we had an amazing time. The service was great and our waiter Was very knowledgeable and recommended great drinks and awesome appetizers That complimented our entrées perfectly. My wife had the duck and I had the bison and both were perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The pecan pie is one of the best desserts I've ever had in my life. I think it's almost better than moms. We highly recommend Chef Warrens and will truly be sad next year when we have to move away. It is absolutely a perfect romantic getaway for us.

Trick or Treat
A Halloween night found us traveling thru NC to find via OT such a special place. Open kitchen and long wall baquettes lend a relaxed, but special atmosphere. Hostess led us to table in an oriental shift costume while all wait staff were costumed for the occasion. Our server in gypsy garb was a pure delight. Especially lovely eyes and personality. Entrees came exactly as menued or described specials. Wines, including specials, were broad based yet paired well. Overall a delightful evening. Worth the drive off I95 again. And soon.
