Walking in, this place just feels good. The old balcony with original newell posts and the lovely bar tucked underneath add to the warm, inviting vibe. Food was excellent, from cocktails to appetizers to mains to dessert (the olive oil ice cream is remakable)and service by Rodney was professional and perfect. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed my dinner
I really enjoyed my dinner at cork and Finn. Everyone was super friendly and very accommodating to any need we had. Food was delicious and the cocktails were well made. As someone who works in the gastown service industry I will definitely be recommending this place. Thanks for the great experience and I will be back again.

Our waiter was amazing. He was very friendly and waived our corkage fee as we brought in some really nice wine that we share with the staff. The food was great, very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.

Chill, good ambiance, great
Chill, good ambiance, great service, lovely curry mussels that compare to the best (in my opinion) in the city. Had a great quiet dinner with 3 friends on a Thursday evening and the place had a steady flow of patrons, good energy.

Tartare and tataki were great; Ling cod was a bit of a let down.
Great wine list. Bad soundtrack of 80's pop - no fitting with the ambiance.

The brunch was amazing. MMM lobster hash was delicious, so was the crab sandwich w/ fried egg on top. Well balanced plate and decent price for the level of quality food. Loved the classic rock playing. Really made for a comfortable, credible atmosphere. Refreshing not to hear the same old electronic chill music. I will definitely be back. Can't wait to come for dinner.

Gourmet Comfort Food
My husband and I visited Cork & Fin for brunch while visiting Vancouver. The choices on the menu were so incredible, we had to order two things and split them. We shared the croque madame with crab. The egg was runny, the crab was fresh and sweet and it was served with a nice side of greens dressed with lemon juice which was perfect to cut the richness of the dish. We also split a dish which was RIDICULOUS. It was lobster hash served with a poached egg on top that was accompanied by pork belly, house cured smoked salmon and housemade smoked sausage. We devoured it and were in heaven. The brunch drink list was also inventive. The bloody mary with a freshly shucked oyster and grapefruit mimosa were excellent. This is a must.

Hadn't been to Cork & Fin for well over a year, and while past experiences were simply 'Okay', this visit was outstanding. The food was fabulous (we understand there is a new chef?) and we were lucky enough to have Rodney serve our table. His food & wine knowledge mixed with quick wit & polite demeanour made our evening very memorable. We'll be back very soon!

We tried the three course
We tried the three course menu and it was a great choice! The menu choices were enough to try out the restaurant. Drinks were good as well and the service was welcoming.
Will be back again for sure!

Unique in Gastown
The atmosphere was relaxing and the food and service outstanding. Excellent value for the price. We would highly recommend this quaint restaurant in the heart of Gastown.

Excellent Food at Reasonable Prices
We all ordered their 3-course prix fixe dinner which allowed us to pick 3 courses from their regular menu, which was nice since most prix fixe menus elsewhere are more limiting in choice. For certain dishes they may indicate a small premium to add it to the prix fixe menu since it's a significantly more pricey dish, but that is reasonable.
Their seafood was fresh and the fish was juicy. Portions are decent for each course.
Service was a tad slow and it took us a while to flag them down to get the bill, but in general it was OK. We went on a Wednesday night so maybe they would have more staff on busier nights.
I would want to come back to try their Buck-a-shuck oysters if I can ever get myself over there on a Monday.

Oysters and wine
Well prepared food. Worth the price . Get oysters and do a wine pairing. If you want steak and beer drop your cash elsewhere.
Patio is interesting. Crackheads and surprise smells of the day. I sat inside.

Wonderful fresh oysters, they have their own spin on a caesar. No AC unfortunately. But over all, cute place, great food. I will go back.

Lovely evening at the Cork
Lovely evening at the Cork and Fin. Service was very good and food excellent. My only complaint was that we had a time restriction on our table which was not indicated prior to the arrival of our group of 10 people.

The food was unique and delicious. Our server was an absolute gem. We dine out often and I am a seasoned cook but always find I have something to learn - our server was very patient and answered our questions in a pleasant manner. This was our first trip to Vancouver and so glad that the gentleman behind the counter at Big Lou's Butcher Shop recommended Cork and Fin after I asked for a restaurant recommendation in Gastown. (He also told me that Cork and Fin buy his meat for their restaurant - that in and of itself was enough reason to head there.) The prices were reasonable - especially after you enjoy your dinner and realize how inventive the meals are and what talented chef(s) they have. Would highly recommend.

Try the Lobster Benny!
Had a lovely brunch there on Saturday - we had the whole place to ourselves, which is a surprise since the food was so wonderful. Would definitely go back.

Do dine here!
We have dined here many times even though it is a 50 minute drive. However, we usually book into a hotel downtown and take a cab. We have taken visitors and our family. Everyone loves the food, ambience and staff. We always leave with a smile and happy memories. The food is excellant .
Thank you again for a memorable evening on our 46th anniversary.
Irene and Ian.

Great flavours, service & value
We were visiting Vancouver with friends from Africa and we had a great evening. There is a wonderful prix fix menu with three courses for $33 (with add-ons for some dishes), having eaten the food I'm not sure how they manage at these prices.
We all had oysters to start, fresh and Rockefeller, all were delicious. Followed by beet tartar and scallops, then mussels, cod and pork. All dishes had great individuality, flavours and all plates were left clean. A nice surprise at the end was dessert on the house especially the olive oil ice cream!
My wife was able to sample a few wines before choosing one for the meal which helped round off a fantastic evening.
We had great fun with the staff who more than contributed to the atmosphere.

Take the plunge!
Once you get past the somewhat tricky math of the set price menu and options it's clear sailing. Food was uniformly excellent. We had a spinach salad as one of the courses that was not on the menu, we spied it going to a private function table, but the yoked it for us non party members as well. Wine was ok at the lower end of the by the bottle menu, could stand a little more imagination there. Staff was friendly and attentive. Overall I would go back with friends for a chunck of an evening again.

The best deal in Vancouver
Their 3 course diner with wine pairing is not only delicious but the best deal in Vancouver. Where can you get 3 courses with wine pairing for 2 people for under $100. Can't be beat.

Good, even quite good
My friend and I went to Cork and Fin for the first time. We both ordered the 3 course menu, and selected a nice white wine with the help of our friendly and knowledgeable server. My first course was a duck tart, which was more like a terrine, but whatever it was, it was perfect. Not heavy as you might expect from duck, and the pastry on the bottom mixed with the cress on the top and the little bit of richness of the duck was so yum that I didn't offer my friend a second taste. My second was a saucy oyster dish that was flavourful and had nice texture. Unfortunately the main which was the sea bream with kale was slightly salty, and the eggplant mixture it sat upon was a bit bland and didn't necessarily compliment the fish. Can't win em all.
