Great Dining,a view like no other
Out of town guests, where else but the Space Needle? There is no better view of the city and surrounding area than from the top of the Needle. We celebrated a milestone birthday with friends from Colorado. The prior arrangements of champagne, flowers and a window side seat were all in order just beyond our reservation time. The menu had a nice variation of seasonal and old standbys. The appetizers were varied and delicious. Our main course selections were all prepared with care and not a "to go bag" was requested. The portions were substantial but not over bearing. The desserts were fantastic. Not a place you might go weekly, but a great place to impress, and be impressed.

Not Just the View
Spur of the moment decision to reserve during Bumbershoot. A spectacular view - expected. A delicious, visually stunning, well-prepared meal - unexpected. Although pricey when compared to other foodie restaurants, you cannot beat the combination. Will return.

Amazing restaurant from the trip up the elevator to the food it is a must see in Seattle

Good View Good Food
On a pre-cruise dinner out we elected to do the SkyCity Restaurant; primarily to enjoy the food. While the noise level was moderate we still enjoyed the view and surprisingly the food was just as good. Would highly recommend.

Cousin's first visit to Seattle
There is no better place to take a first time visitor to Seattle than the space needle restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was superb! Thank you for helping make my cousin's first visit to Seattle so memorable.

A Must for Tourists
Make reservations to avoid the wait. Food & service was excellent. Although it was overcast, we had great views. Anyone visiting Seattle must visit this landmark AND its surroundings.

Sky City/Space Needle for lunch
We enjoyed our lunch at the Sky City/Space Needle. What a treat to enjoy such a view while we dined! If you are closing your eyes, and only focused on the food, then it is not a great value. Food is o.k., but not outstanding. We had salmon/potatoes/asparagus (portions pretty small), roasted chicken with creamy wine sauce (a little bigger portion), hazelnut-crusted chicken sandwich with steak fries (more than one person could eat). But when you combine with the view at the top of the Space Needle, and the ability to go up two flights to the observation deck, it is much better value! Reservations on a Friday afternoon seemed to be required...there were lots of people enjoy the Space Needle even on a cloudy fall day! Nice servers.

Second time I have had dinner
Second time I have had dinner at this restaurant and both times, service was fabulous, view spectacular and food delicious. The Lunar Orbiter is a must if you have kids with you! Get the camera ready!

Must do for Seattle!
We were only in Seattle a short time and wanted to go up in the Space Needle. Admission to the observation deck is $19 per person, but if you eat in the Sky City restaurant at the top of the needle, the admission to the observation deck is free. Be sure to make a reservation well in advance and be aware that it is pricey - but brunch is affordable at $45 per person which includes most non-alcoholic drinks and dessert. The food and service is wonderful and the view in the rotating restaurant is outstanding! It takes 47 minutes for a full rotation - so we saw all of Seattle by the end of our meal!

Space Needle dining a must
If you are visiting Seattle for the first time and you don't know if you'll get to come back any time soon - put the SkyCity Restaurant on your 'must do' list. It's a bit pricey, you need to reserve WELL ahead of time but you can't beat the experience. Your dining reservation gets you a free ride up the elevator to the restaurant that rotates every 47 minutes so you get a complete view of Seattle and the harbor while you dine. Every table has a fantastic view - it's great day or night. The service is excellent, the menu varied and the food is good. After dining you can go up to the outside observation deck and walk around. There is also a diner on that deck.

View of a lifetime
A very memorable evening at The Space Needle! Delicious food and impeccable service while slowly rotating above Seattle. You can see forever! The prices are extremely steep, however. More of a one time thing.

On our bucket list
We celebrated our 27th anniversary with dinner at the Space Needle's Sky City. What a perfect choice! The food was wonderful and the view was breathtaking. We appreciated the anniversary card at our table when we arrived. Thank you for a quality experience!

A great experience at space
A great experience at space needle. This is my second time going up there and the dinning experience is so good that I will for sure be coming back again. The table is right next to the window looking down 600 ft and whole city view of Seattle is right there for you.!

Sky City is great restaurant for any day, be it a special occasion or a simple date night. The view is simply awesome! Definitely recommend this place!

anniversary dinner at the top
we celebrated 25 years married at the SkyCity restaurant and it was great all around. We were well treated, the waitress was terrific and the food great. We took out time and enjoyed the incredible views, would recommend to all who may be in the Seattle area for a special event.

Spectacular for a Birthday
All this time living in Seattle and we've never been. Service level is high (extremely attentive), spectacular view (obviously), and I'd give the food a 7 or 8 out of 10. It probably isn't the best menu if you are vegan but they were responsive to dietary restrictions (extra points for that). Go here for a special occasion, to enjoy the view and entertain out-of-towners.
9/25/2013 5:00:00 PM
Had a wonderful time with family wish there were more choices
to choose, but what we had was good

A special occasion place
Service all the way was very good. 1 person ordered the salmon and thought it delicious, another ordered fish and chips and was happy, husband ordered oyster po'boy, good but not outstanding, I ordered rib eye steak which was very tasty but very fatty (half of it), so that I would not do again. Bread was delicious. Martinis were very good, as was desert. We went for lunch as it is far less expensive then, but it was still a monumental expense.

Second time here, another birthday. Food is exceptional. Pricey but worth it.

Brunchbwith a view
When visitors come to visit from out of town, a visit to the space needle is a must. Sky City offers a beautiful view and a delicious meal, not to mention a nice memory. Though the prices are a bit steep, keep in mind that they include a trip to the observation deck!

BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE WITH MY SON
My son and I visited Seattle recently and he's 11 yrs old. This extraordinary view, made an outstanding environment to figure out solution to family issues that for some reason one can't have the time at home. Take sometime with your kids to go out to a peacefull environment will really help to improve mother-son communication.

GREAT View even in the RAIN
A WONDERFUL 44th Anniversary Celebration with Friends. Very relaxing, beautiful view, food/wine was good, service was excellent - what more could we ask for... Thank you for making our "Special" Day SPECIAL...

Great choice for special occasion
I went here to celebrate our one month marriage and it definitely was a great choice. The view was spectacular. The staff was helpful in answering my questions regarding food and wine pairing. Our server was attentive to our needs and quickly give us the specials for the day. Sky City is the place to go if you are looking for something scenic and romantic since you are able to see the whole city while you are dining. Sky City has a lot of good choices and definitely will come back here some times to try other food on the menu.
10/7/2013 12:00:00 AM
The food was a bit salty, especially the marrow bone.. but the presentation and service is fantastic.
We got the best view, rotating 360 degree view of city of Seattle, clear sky and beautiful moon.. could ask for more..

Lunch at the Needle
We often treat out of town visitors to lunch at the Seattle Center Space Needle. The response always is extra special and the view never fails to wow. The most recent lunch was no exception, the food and service were excellent and the view was splendid as always.
10/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
The food was really good -
The food was really good - with some very creative and amazing preparations. I was a little surprised by the prices for the entrees, but if you factor in the 360 skyline you are getting your money's worth. The wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable, albeit rushed. One time they left while I was in mid-sentence. I can only attribute this to being experienced enough to know what I was going to request - a bit risky and could be taken as rude. Overall this is as much an experience as it is a good dining destination.

A must visit landmark!
One of the mandatory "to do" activities when visiting Seattle. Great views.
As it often happens, the views are not complimented by exceptional food. The food was good, but could have been better.
It was a busy Saturday brunch. The server was very polite and helpful. For the price, it was a fairly good value for money - 3 course lunch with non alcoholic beverages and coffee included at that price with the view and novelty factor was definitely worth the money!

Another Incredible Meal
Our server was attentive but not intrusive; funny but not fake. Our food, as always, was delicious and unique, reflecting the awesome roots of the city and the Space Needle. Once again, you did not disappoint; my younger sister was impressed and we couldn't have asked for a better day (weather-wise) nor were we surprised by the usual (excellent) staff, food, and atmosphere. The only minor complaint I have is the noise level is always high, but I think that's due to the nature of the (shape of the) Space Needle - and I'm not disappointed with that - just want people to know.
My new husband, who've eaten here before, look forward to visiting and enjoying a meal as newlyweds - what better way to celebrate love in the Emerald City.

Here's the deal....
As first time visitors to Seattle, I did lots of research before our trip. This tip turned out to be very good. If you want to go to the top of the Space Needle, it costs $19.00. Yes, you can buy a combo ticket for The Space Needle and The Chihuly Glass Museum ( go at night) but that's a different venue. So, go for a really nice lunch ( beautiful views but overpriced menu). You have to spend $25.00 per person on food or drink but the fee of $19.00 is waived. The food is very good but overpriced ( great cheeseburger for $26.00 with fries). The diningroom rotates (takes 46 minutes) and the views are just breathtaking on a clear day. Enjoy !

Amazing View, did not disappoint
I was very pleased with this dining experience, so was my family. The service was very good and prompt. And our food was wonderful! My husband had the salmon and both my son and I had the beef tenderloin. Very tasty! Both my husband and I ordered the spinach salad to start and it was small but tasted very good. My husband and son both ordered the silly "orbiter" (I think) dessert, it really is just 2 small scoops of ice cream with your choice of syrup served in a bowl with dry ice - it is all show for $11. Very cool to look at for a few minutes, but unless you are in the mood for ice cream, look at someone else's table while it is delivered. All in all a great evening, beautiful view, very expensive but lovely meal. I'd say it was worth it!
10/20/2013 12:00:00 AM
Our server was very kind and attentive. Forgot her name.. thin, dark blonde:ish girl..? They were quick to seat us, no wait. Top score for service.
Foodwise. The food was good, but not top notch. I guess I had a feeling I wasnt gonna dig the bread pudding with the chicken, and the pumpkin puree was there for pure decorative purpose I think.. It should have been the opposite. The puree was good!
It was my birthday too so I got a complimentary smokin ice cream. I saw several other people getting them too, but it still makes you feel special.. =) Great treat!

The apple pie with maple ice cream was great. The sushi cone was yummy. The salmon was good but not the star of the show. Be warned that they do not carry high chairs for children.

What a view!
Enjoyed a great dinner SkyCity on our trip to Seattle. Its right next to Chihuilly exhibit so we went to that first and then went to dinner. Emjoyed the view and tenderloin was amazing!! Great service too. Its pricey but you pay for the views!!
11/7/2013 4:00:00 PM
You haven't seen Seattle unless you've seen it from the Space Needle. SkyCity has been an outstanding destination since it opened in 1962 when the Space Needle was built as part of the World's Fair . Lunch at SkyCity includes a ticket to the Observation Deck with a comprehensive panoramic view of Seattle and Puget Sound and Lake Union along with a delicious gourmet meal one flight of stairs below the Observation Deck. My husband, my young adult niece, and I enjoyed a leisurely lunch as the restaurant revolved every 47 minutes. We started with a delicious basket of bread and continued to a delectable seafood louie, lip-smacking fish (cod) and chips with tasty cole slaw, and a highly-stacked, grilled salmon sandwich. We left very happy.

Exceptional Food and Service
I was in Seattle with the National League of Cities and had booked a reservation for the Space Needle Restaurant. I then had to change my reservation to add additional people. I called the restaurant directly and they were most helpful in meeting my additional requests. Upon our arrival we were treated very courteously and professionally. We had a table right next to the window and the view was awesome. The menu was thoroughly explained by our waiter as to recommendations and we were complimented on our selections. Our drinks were superb and when the food arrived it was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. I would definitely dive here again and encourage others to go and enjoy the ambience of an evening .

Amazing from South Floridians
I ordered a white, fatty fish (I don't remember the name) and thought the dinner was fine. I liked the appetizer better. My husband's meal with the beef tenderloin was delicious!
I don't remember the desert, but I do remember how romantic it was to be up there with him, taking in the beautiful city. My husband planned the evening perfectly: we enjoyed the Observation Deck during the daytime first, then went up for dinner and sat through sunset, enjoying our meal as night fell over the city. Then we enjoyed the Deck again, and I was delighted amazed.
I was afraid this would be a tourist trap. But with the food and the view and the service, I would recommend this to everyone! I can't wait to return. Our waiter was amazing!

Great view - average food
True, this is a tourist driven restaurant but as a local I find it a kick to go about every 10 years. We had a lovely time but the food really needs to be kicked up a notch or two. Especially the desserts. We ordered 3 different desserts from the brunch menu and all were almost inedible. Lavendar ice cream on apple crisp...pretty bad. Razor clam chowder was obviously from a restaurant supply house, so salty. We had the chicken and braised greens. Chicken was tender (but again, from a supply house...the salt is the dead giveaway). All that being said, nice time was had by all and the service was friendly. Oh, can't forget this,it's pricey. With a bottle of wine and 1 cocktail $225 for lunch. I'm going back though-in 10 years.

great food and service
Awesome experience. Food is VERY pricy but totally worth it for a first time visit or a special occasion.

Beautiful all round
With the outstanding view we also enjoyed the most very very helpful staff, the meal was delicious!!
This was our first experience at the Seattle space needle, we were unsure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. Excellent staff within the building on the ground floor exceptionally helpful. The gentlemen in the lift again were very pleasant and explained when questioned. The staff in the restaurant were very well organised, tables were soon cleared away and redressed. The staff again were more than helpful with wine menu, meal and desert menus.
Noise volume was not a problem!
11/25/2013 4:00:00 PM
Cannot Beat the view.
The food was great a bit pricy. It is worth getting a drink and appitizers, you get to go up to the top for free with only a $35 meal purchase. Tickets to the observation tower alone are $19.

My mother, and Husband both enjoyed it at the Sky City Restaurant and on the observation deck. I look forward to going again!
