It's not always easy for me to eat out due to my many food allergies. And since I came in with a large group, I appreciated the wide variety of options, ranging from several types of meat, poultry and seafood to vegan. I also appreciate that ingredients are predominantly local and/or organic and/or homemade. The food was beautifully plated and extremely tasty!

Chef/Owner Roberto has an excellent menu that changes with the seasons and with the freshest products that are available from local farmers. The menu is always "Farm to Table". The Goat Cheese Stuffed Squash Blossoms are always a winner this time of year (March). This restaurant is a must when heirloom tomatoes are on the menu. As I have said before in my past reviews, Chef Roberto is an asset to the Redlands Communtiy as he constantly supports local charities and constantly gives back in thanks to the customers that frequent his restaurant.

The service was outstanding.
The service was outstanding. Isiah was very attentive and paid attention to every detail. The food ordered from entree was mediocre, for the price.
The walnut cake was good and so were the small plate appetizers.

The food was outstanding!
The food was outstanding! The house-made sourdough bread is marvelous- chewy, fragrant. We tried the cheese sampler, which was nicely presented and delicious. I had a fennel-and-orange-and-garbanzo salad that was nice- the dressing was a little light on flavor, though. Entrees were great too- we had a roasted chicken breast, and I had the stuffed squash blossoms, which were amazing. Service was a bit slow, particularly after we had our entrees - took awhile to get the dessert menu -but all in all, great food and a terrific menu.

Chef/Owner Roberto has a new menu that now includes several Gluten Free and Vegetarian items. With this change he is catering to a group of diners that have not had many choices in Redlands and the surrounding area. But with this change, he has diluted the menu choices for his regular "Foodie" diners and the menu now is boring. The quality of the food we chose was excellent as uusual, but the choices were fewer. Also, our server was not at all famaliar with the new menu and had to ask the kitchen several times on how new menu items were prepared, the type of sauce, etc. One response to a question we asked about a menu item was for the kitchen to send out a small sample of this item. Even great restaurants and chefs have bad days.

Amazing food and excellent service!
The Chef is so creative. I love how the menu changes with the local ingredients of the season. Everything is always so fresh and unique, without being ridiculous. Highly recommend their vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options - all are winners. And best of all, the Chef has no problem customizing dishes for you to accomodate food allergies, prefererences. etc. We love the Farm!

I love this place.
One of the best steaks I've ever enjoyed. Lovely everything, once again. This was our second visit and definitely not the last.

Mother's Day Gem
We have been going to Farm Artisan for Mother's Day for several years. The food and the service have always been fantastic. The Farm is the best restaurant in Redlands.

Mother's Day Brunch
My daughter suggested going to Farm Artisan Foods for Mother's Day and I'm so glad we did. Apparently they had a special brunch just for Mother's Day. The menu selection was great. We each chose to have an egg dish. My husband and I both got the wild mushroom omelet. It was made with a Guyrere cheese. So good. My daughter ordered the Eggs Benedict. She said it had to be one of the best Eggs Benedict she had ever had. The Mimosas were so tasty. All of this was finished off with a dessert menu to die for. We chose the flour-less chocolate cake. It was a little rich for me but still tasted very good. Overall a great place to go for Mother's Day.

Great but rather pricey even for "organic/natural", etc.

All three of us thought the food was excellent. We enjoyed the unique flavors, the size of the portions, and the fresh ingredients. The service was just OK, and I felt the waitress really did not give us much attention. When we asked to split a salad and a dessert, she did not bother to bring us extra plates until we asked. For this price level we should not have had to ask. She was always in a hurry to take our order, even we were clearly still reading the menu.

We went for a friends birthday to one of their beer tasting events. The food was excellent from the 3 course prefix menu. I hade the vegetarian while my friends had the short ribs . Both on them reported them as excellent! The background music was so relaxing we stayed for a bottle of wine after. Special thank you to the owner/ chef who so kindly comes out of the kitchen to say hi to us every time we come.

Fresh Is Best!
I loved that this restaurant served fresh foods and listed their items gluten free and/or vegan. Great staff, convenient location. Fine dining but not overly priced.

A Hidden Gem
Locally grow foods are served to your table. More than organic certified, mashed potatoes has a very slight rich soil taste from a farm. The chesse sampler platter is tasty and it varies by what is avaliable. Meat and seafood is wonderful and its glutine free. There is also alot of vegan dishes that look tasty and smell great.

My husband and I went to Farm Artisan Foods for our anniversary dinner. We consider ourselves foodies and were not disappointed. The food was amazing. Also, the beer menu was surprisingly wonderful - lots of variety. Lots of new & interesting local brews.

We loved our lunch at Farm
We loved our lunch at Farm Artisan, but we had a difficult time deciding what to choose from the extensive menu options. Our choices: the veggie lasagna, the veggie Wellington, and the duck breast. They were all delicious with unique sides. Dessert selections were also varied. Our choices: the flourless chocolate cake, the strawberry tort, the cheesecake, and Wild Goose coffee. Again happy campers, all. Seating on the outdoor patio was perfect: comfortable, quiet, cool.
Our favorite aspect of Farm Artisan is that it uses local products. The creative, delicious menu items were a bonus. There is no comparison with any restaurant chains. Expect to pay more, but a great opportunity to support our local businesses.

interesting menu. healthy food. great preparation. beautiful presentation. vegan, vegetarian, and regular items on the menu. four of us went for lunch and walked around the charming town. we ordered the beet salad, halibut stew, chicken & brown rice/black bean entree. had it served family style so we could try everything. halibut stew was so good, we asked for soup spoons and bread so we could enjoy the sauce til the bottom of the bowl. we were surprised to find such amazing food in this location.

Fresh and delicious
If you want local fresh food then this is the place to go. Have been here several times and haven't had a disappointing meal yet. It is consistently delicious and the service is excellent.

Very good food, plain decor
Read reviews about this place and agree with all. Food taste and quality very good for reasonable price. Decor not spectacular, and somewhat noisy. Real tablecloths nice. No need to dressup for this place and service very good, but split most dishes and no offer to bring plates to make sharing easy-- not a really big deal.

I came there on July 12 th for my friends Birthday and the food was great, fresh but our waitress could have been more attentive we had to ask for more iced tea a few times and she left our dishes on table a long time before clearing. Other than that the experience was good. Linda

yet another good experience
My boyfriend and I have always loved going to the farm for dinner, the menu is always changing and we have never been disappointed in the quality. My parents were visiting fomr out of town and it was my grandmothers 97th birthday so we didn't hesitate to bring in the whole group for dinner! Everyone was impressed with the food, wine choices, and service. We will continue to make the farm a regular spot for our family.

Great Dining Experience
I especially enjoyed the four course beer pairing meal on Wednesday evening. Many restaurants have paired wine with their menu, but this beer pairing is unique. A "must do" for anyone who appriciates fine dining and great beer!

Glad we finally went
We'd heard good things about this restaurant and were looking forward to trying it. The food did not disappoint. Other than the duck being a tad salty, everything was spot on. The restaurant itself probably benefits from being noisy and crowded. We were there early when it was mostly empty though and it was a bit like eating in warehouse. Service was very friendly and attentive. Overall a good experience.

I'm always happy when I leave - even though I can find an occasional criticism (like they didn't have sorbet or ice cream during the hottest season or the waiter got the dessert menu confused) it's my absolute favorite place to dine IN THE WORLD. The creative nature, variety, and freshness is, in my experience, unmatched.

The menu never ceases to amaze
The menu never ceases to amaze me. I've never had a bad meal or experiance here. The price is much less than you would expect for the high quality food they prepare. I love this place.

Food for Thought
Fine Food, Excellent service, Choose from small or large plated dinner selections, A relaxed dining atmosphere... Did I say excellent service? Yes indeed!

Great food small portions, pricey
I liked the food. Good for vegetarians, but the portions good have been a bit bigger. Food was fresh and well prepared. THey did cater to my food needs of no flour, no sugar. I had the lentils with veggies and a side of more veggies as I eat a lot of veggies . It was very good, and presented very nicely onthe plate.

The food from the cheese plate and entrees and great dessert. Very attentive service.

I have only been here a handful of times (the price is out of our budget to frequent weekly), but I love coming here. The food is always fresh and in season and the service is always friendly. It is a great treat every time I get a chance to go in:) I'm not vegan, but they have a great selection of vegan items to choose from.

We attended on a friday evening
We attended on a friday evening about 6 pm - not very crowded. We had a reservation and was ushered towards the back. The outside dining area looked more inviting but since it was our first time we thought we would "go with the flow."
The service was great, with the staff explaining the different entrees.
The only real disappointment was a major lack of vegatarian-type foods.
The steak and seafood were very good
The wine list was extensive enough that something could be paired with the food in a variety of price ranges.
9/26/2013 5:00:00 PM
The service and ambiance were really great and perfect for sitting outside and watching the Farmers Market on Thursday. The wine list is small but very good. The fresh bread was amazing, the scallops were cooked and seasoned perfectly, everything else we ordered - the pasta, the polenta dish, the cheese plate - we're better than average but not as good as we had hoped. We will definitely try this place again and taste some different items next time because even though we weren't wow'd by the food I think it was just an off night in the kitchen.

Great and delicious food!
Celebrated a birthday at Artisan Farms. Experience was incredible, server was exceptional!. Food choices are limited, but great choices. I had the chicken breast with polenta and veggies, perfectly done and very tasty. The birthday girl had the Portabello Wellington and it was divine. Others at the table had the salmon and the filet and raved how delicious their meals were. Location is in the historic center of Redlands, ambiance was delightful, very trendy and open. Outside dining available, however, we sat inside. I give this restaurant the highest rating in all areas. The fact that their ingredients are organic and they offer healthy choices is well worth the visit. Try their flour less chocolate cake or the cheesecake yummy!!

I have been here twice- the first time a friend and myself tried the 7 course sampler. I felt that that dishes were hit and miss for my pallet. But, I could also understand that some people enjoy some things more than others. Each portion was prepared very well. We came back a second time- because we absolutely LOVED the duck. We did not prefer the sides the duck typically comes with- but the staff was very friendly in allowing us to change the sides to mashed potatoes and vegetables. They. Were. Awesome. We also started our meal off with the wild mushrooms and polenta- it's absolutely perfect and not one thing I would change about it. The only complaint I have it that they do not keep their beverages well stocked.
