Service is great. Food is fine for supper general, yuppy Asian food. Their gingerale and ginger syrup based drinks are pretty great. The specials are usually pretty good. My only real complaint is the shrimp. No matter what shrimp dish you get the shrimp taste like they have been cooked in a rusty or otherwise overly metallic pan. Everything else has always been good.

Asian Chicaken salad
I had great service as I was with someone who comes 1 time a week. I had never had such good service before and I live right down the block.
The Asian chicken salad was good except it said it was shredded chicken and in fact it was more of cut pieces.
Otherwise a nice evening.

Fresh Ingredients & excellent servi
Big Bowl's Pad Thai had less noodles and more vegetables and herbs (basil) that the standard fare. The vegetables tasted as if they had been picked no more than an hour before. Delicious! My husband wante a vegetarian curry that was spicy but not has spicy as the dish on menu and they susbstituted tofu for chicken dish for the chicken on another dish. This was our second visit and the staff are friendly and attentive without being intrusive.

I went for dessert. I wanted
I went for dessert. I wanted to order my fav strawberry mochi, but they said they were out of it. So I ordered the mango which I've been meaning to order and my friend ordered the chocolate. The waiter came back with a plate of strawberry and mango saying he was mistaken and they were out of chocolate. I was happy. It was delicious n perfect. Now that I'm writing about the mocha, I'm craving it.

Delicious as usual
After a prior poor experience (rare in my many, many visits), I was happy things were back to great. Always delicious food. Our waitress was very nice and attentive as well.

Big bowl offers the typical fare you would expect from an Americanized Asian restaurant. The ambiance is great and they offer specialty cocktails including house made ginger ale that is delish. It's a bit more expensive than I think it should be for the food you get, but given the location, it makes sense. It's a solid restaurant, but probably not overly memorable.

This was our first time at Big Bowl and when I told some friends we were going there, they said we would love it. They underestimated our experience. The service was beyond belief, something that has been noticeably lacking in our other usual, old favorite restaurants we had been going to. And the food was so delicious, well, words cant describe it. I've never tasted chinese food that good before. It was so good I tried my best to finish it but the portion size was just too big so I had to get a doggie bag. We were told by everyone to try the ginger ale, that is their specialty, but since I'm not a big ginger ale lover, I didnt. But if you are, do it!

A Great Standby
Big Bowl has delicious, fresh and inventive Asian fusion cuisine. I typically try a pitcher of their seasonal sangria and it is always refreshing. The wait staff are very knowledgeable about the menu and always friendly and attentive. Big Bowl is always reliable for good food and a great time.

We went for lunch on Sunday.
We went for lunch on Sunday. It wasn't crowded and the server was there only when need. He suggested a few draft beers which were delicious. The menus are fairly focused, but deliver a lot of flavor. I had the kung pao tofu -- super yum. My spouse wasn't as thrilled with his ( a spicy thai chicken) because he loved the sauce/noodles of mine. We'll be back.

I decided last minute to try Big Bowl and was very pleased! They had a surprise special, great drink menu, good food, large bar and lots of open tables, along with some hight tops by the open windows! I had the pad thai and it wasn't world-famous or anything, but it was very good. Our food came out really fast and they took very special care of my friend who had a shellfish allergy. They even put his food on a separate plate so the chef would know to keep it far away from all shellfish! Lots of yummy gluten free options, including dessert! Highly recommended.

Great food, reasonable price
The menu is extensive, the service attentive and fast and the food fresh and tasty. We are visiting from Melbourne, Australia, which is a great city for restaurants, and this was one of our favourite meals we have had during a month in the US.

Budget Friendly in heart of Rush St
Big Bowl is one of my wife's and my favorite places for a quick bite. We have eaten at several in the chain, but recently have been hitting the Big Bowl on Cedar as a regular spot. It's truly a great find in the heart of the Rush St. scene. We often order a few items off of the appetizer menu to share as our meal. The portions are great. The variety is great. The bottom line is great!
We like spicy. So we frequently order Sesame Peanut Spicy Noodles, Siuchuan Spicy Green Beans, and Thai Beef Lettuce Wraps. Occasionally we'll add something off the special menu. Still comes in under $30. And believe me, four appetizers is enough. We usually have a little left over to take home with us.
They also make a fresh Ginger Ale that is really good.

A neighborhood favorite!
Food is fresh and great taste. no need to think about cooking dinner when you have Big Bowl minutes away.

Great food and service
My girlfriend and I met my dad for dinner. The food was delicious and the waitress helped him figure out the menu. Low volume in the room so my dad who wears a hearing aid could hear us. If you valet they give you $4 off you dinning bill which we thought was kinda wired. Thanks for a great night Big Bowl!

This place is always a favorite place for my family
My kids love the sesame chicken, the app riblets are awesome !
The waiter was attentive and the food was consistence. Valet parking was only 14.00 and the restaurant credits four dollars of that which brings the parking down to 10.00.
This is also a great location, we typically go to the Schaumburg location but we have never had a bad experience at any of the little entertain you restaurants .

A fun, foody kinda place
Great food as always. Lots of neat flavor explosion combinations. When the family comes in we always go there. The Pomegranate Sangria's are always wonderful; we tried the special Cinnamon, Honey Sangrias and they are my favorite now. Always a nice portion. Kung Pao Chicken is my favorite here. The spring rolls are wonderful and rib appetizers are great. We also had the Pumpkin soup that has coconut milk in it and that was very good. Fun place to relax, sip a sangria or two and have a great meal. Its the only Chinese/Thai place I come away from not hungry, maybe it was the The Guinness Ice cream and chocolate covered pretzels for dessert that did it. They always have something chocolate in their great desserts selection as well!

Excellent as usual!
This was my yearly pilgrimage to the Big Bowl on Cedar with a group of 10. We keep coming back year after year when we visit Chicago....probably the past 10 years in a row we've enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. We'll be back next year. They's better have a BIG table for us....
