Excellent food and service.
We went on an off-night, but could see that the bar area was very inviting and would be a great place to grab a cocktail. Vibrantly decorated, with exceptional service. Nice touch that the bartender and owner were both engaging and came over to check on us. They also seemed genuinely interested in whether we enjoyed our cocktails and the food - we did. The owner also made sure that our seven year old daughter was happy with her meal and dessert - she was very, very happy with her pasta and chocolate dessert.

Good Food, Great Cocktails
Still relatively new to our neighborhood, my wife and I decided to dine here one Saturday night. While the menu is small, it has some good variety. The cocktail menu was great with some tasty whiskey based drinks, and other cocktails that my wife, who is more into vodka and Prosecco, found good.
I ordered the skirt steak that came with a green, avocado sauce (think guacamole) that was cooked perfectly medium rare. The fries that came with it were good, but not special in any way. My wife got the pork chop- breaded, apple based sauce on the side. The chop was huge and juicy.
The deserts were awesome with donuts, and a Napolean.
The waiter kept refilling our water with such amazing frequency, that we started to joke about it.

We'll be back
We didn't stay for dessert, so we missed the peanut butter ice cream. However, the cocktails and meals were enough to ensure a return visit. The chef made a mac & cheese with his homemade pasta for my son. I told the owner that it should go on the menu. It was the best mac & cheese I've ever tasted. And that was before the cocktails were ordered.
I'm looking forward to seeing the menu change with the seasons. For now, the summer menu is mighty tasty.

Enjoyed our dinner
Saw the restaurant on Open Table and went saturday night. The restaurant was not full and as soon as we walked in we were escorted to our table but then asked the hostess if she would mind if we got a drink at the bar first which is what she should have offered to us. We had a drink and decided to dine outside.
The waitress knew very little about the menu and since it is an eclectic and interesting menu they should have been better trained.
She had no idea about any of the items or the preparation.
The food was very very good. Intersting not typical. Will definately go back.

good but a little pricey
The title really says it all. First time here since changing owners and names. Loved the old place. Not much new in the way of decor. Some of the old staff stayed. Menu completely different and on the small side. Quality of the food was very good, but a bit pricey. Will think twice before returning.

The food at this restaurant was quite sophisticated and prepared very well, much more than you'd expect from a neighborhood restaurant.

A three way winner
Food, service and decor were on the money! The menu selection was appropriate for autumn and everything tasted great. The decor was modern and clean, trendy but warm. The "owner" came to the table for comments which was a really nice touch and the staff seemed genuinely concerned and knowledgeable.
This place is a winner in all regards. Can't wait to return.

Yellow Plum--elegant dining
Four of us enjoyed a lovely meal at Yellow Plum on Saturday evening. The restaurant is large, understated yet warm and intimate. It was peaceful and serence, with lovely art on the walls and dark warm wood throughout.
I ordered the short ribs. They were tender and delicious. The restaurant also has a great selection of wines and craft beers. I highly recommend it. It was a pricey meal, but worth every cent. I look forward to returning. My friends loved the distinctive cocktails, as well.

Good food, great drinks!
Yellow Plum seems like a simple restaurant from the outside, but from the moment one steps in the ambiance really takes over. There is beautiful art everywhere, low lights, and comfortable seating. The staff is attentive without being annoying. The drinks are amazing and the food is very good. My cousin and I had a great night out.

Dinner in the hood
Food excellent, chairs comfortable, i particularly liked the fact there was plenty of room btw the tables so we didn't feel we were in any other party's conversation. My only negatives were the wait staff we had couldn't split the bill btw (3) credit cards easily. She was very challenged in the math dept. also the coffee was bitter & too strong. Otherise, delightful!

Yellow Plum is a winner!
Despite some negative reviews, we went to the newly-opened Yellow Plum and are very glad that we did. The space is pleasant with room between the tables. The food was excellent. Although the menu is small, there are items in every category so everyone can find something to please. The short rib (even reviewed by a person who rarely likes meat) was intensely tasty. The bone-in skate was also excellent, as were the salads. If you think a restaurant can't mess up a simple salad, you're a lucky diner. The bartender makes a terrific martini. The service was polished, but relaxed and friendly, and not too obtrusive (which can be annoying). In fact, the entire staff was warm and welcoming. We'll definitely go back.
