STILL OUT OF THIS WORLD
This place continues to be my favorite. ALWAYS hitting it out of the park. Midweek, had made a res thru Open Table. We were running EARLY (who the heck ever runs early?) We called, no problem coming in early. I feared the place would be empty, the fire wouldn't be lit. I feared for nothing. ROARING fire, moderately occupied.
The staff doesn't get any friendlier, rolling with the punches of my 11 year old's need to be treated like an adult. (BEST kids menu btw, more like small portion adult food)
Fresh margarita. Steak like no other - makes you want to stop eating meat from any other source. Side dishes that look like they came out of a magazine and taste the way you dream they should taste. I dream about going back all year long.

Pub Food Plus
This is your basic bar and grill, upscale Berkshires style, which means better than average food in a clean, airy environment. Prices are not bad, given the location. We'd go again.

Great Food and Fun!
Our family loves to dine at Route 7 Grill. The boys couldn't have been happier when we selected our weekend dining spot. There is a fantastic variety of meals to choose from. The best Kale Chips ever!!! If thats not your thing - the beef and brisket is very mouthwatering - and lots of it. We will be dining there often this summer and hope to be able to be outside on the deck with the amazing views!

The restaurant has an open, homey feel and you won't feel packed in! The food was excellent, the beer selection (that is all we looked at) was superb, and the service was great. Our litlle one (7 years old) didn't care for the rub on the ribs, and the waitress offered to get her something else - No Charge! The chicken, ribs, wings, and steak were all excellent. The appetizers we had (kale chips and fried calamari) were also excellent. If you are looking for a place that uses local ingredients, offers some unusual dishes, cares about quality, and has great food, this is the place for you! Happy Dining!

More than Bar-b-que
Although it excels with bar-b-que, its so much more. The menu has interesting and diverse options. But most importantly, you have to have the wings. The best wings ever.

Lots of meat
We had a 6:30 reservation on a Thursday. Service was very good, not rushed, very attentive. A large table of noisy children running in and out, until they left at 7:30. The owner checked in to see if we were happy. The food was great, but mostly beef, chicken and pork, and some fish as main courses. I had a Dinasaur beef rib. It was all delicious.

Little gem off Route 7
As delicious a burger as they come, appropriately spicy shrimp po'boy, perfectly fried calamari, barbeque pork very smokey and tasty (ask for the less well done pieces). Welcoming to families, airy down home vibe, service attentive and orders places quickly. Innovative sides were locally sourced and delicious. The dessert foodie at our table thought the chocolate eclair was one of the best she had ever tasted. Upbeat, friendly and fun atmosphere.

This has been a favorite for 6 years and will continue to be so. The food is delicious, healthy, and beautifully presented. The waitresses are pleasant, friendly & knowledgable (and funny!). The owner comes to the table ( and sometimes serves) to make sure everyone is pleased. It is a nice touch.
We thought the portions could be a little larger HOWEVER, really they were nicely sized and we left feeling pleasantly full, not stuffed and uncomfortable OR with "doggie" bags. We left knowing we ate well & and had a lovely evening.
Thank you for another wonderful evening.

The freshness of every meal for our party of 6 at this farm-to-table restaurant was outstanding. Scallops, shrimp, roasted pork, corn chowder, salads, and the very best cheddar bacon cheeseburger you will find were all terrific. The service was helpful, friendly and prompt. Warm decor with a rustic yet modern feel. Large fireplace which I'm sure would be great when fired up in the winter.

Excellent Meal & Service
We are from out of town, and will certainly be back for the food!! As unfortunate as it may sound, we had to have our Thanksgiving dinner away from home. However, the turkey was to die for!! Juicy, tender and smokey flavorful!! They did a great job at brightening up our holiday away from home with welcoming service and heart warming delicious food.

Warm, friendly Thanksgiving
This was a great place for a casual, traditional family Thanksgiving dinner. It was the first time I'd ever had Thanksgiving in a restaurant, but my friends who opt for restaurant holiday meals warned me about the perils. Unlike other places that rush to turnover tables, the Route 7 Grill offered a relaxed alternative. We felt at home 500 miles from our own dining room. Not a complaint from any of the three cooks among us. Everything was delicious - especially the pies! Can't wait to return and try the regular menu.

Thanksgiving Buffet 2013
Our family dined at the Route 7 Grill for our Thanksgiving meal yesterday. It was a wonderful, traditional meal with all the trimmings. It was served buffet style with choices of turkey or ham. Everything was perfectly prepared. The meats had the as hoped for taste of smokiness. A nice surprise was that the root vegetables did as well. Just the right amount. The smoke enhanced the flavors of the meal but did not over-power it. Of the 3 choices for dessert I chose the pecan pie. Warm with whipped cream, it too was delish! Tip included. The fireplace in the dining room is wonderful and adds a coziness to the experience. Great wine and beer selection as well. Looking forward to dining there for dinner in the near future.

Much as I love Route 7's ribs and brisket and other grilled meats, of late I've been taken by the charcuterie boards. A choice of individual items or a board of 3 or 5 items makes a great starter or main course. And the list of what's available changes often. Of note, the little ramekin of warm brandade with toast, the wafer-thin-sliced smoked leg of lamb, the duck leg confit, a great duckbreast prosciutto, and a killer bratwurst. Very nice wait staff, good wines, easy, casual dining with a roaring fire on the hearth in the winter. A place we go back to as often as we can.
