Good time all around
I took my girlfriend for dinner here last Friday night and we both sincerely enjoyed the experience. The staff was very knowledgeable of the wine list and made a delicious recommendation. Plus they were all so attentive (even the "water guy" Roger) and told us up front that they would be willing to make custom orders. The food was delicious and my rigatoni was cooked to absolute al dente perfection! The restaurant is quaint and quiet, just what we were looking for.
I highly recommend this dining experience to anyone looking for great Italian food and the excellent service that comes along with it.

Nice outdoor dining
Great spot for outdoor dining. The food was very good and we appreciated the fact that they allowed dogs at the outside table. The server even brought our dog a dish of water.

We always enjoy eating outside when it's pleasant. They bring my dog a bowl of water and it's fun to sit and watch everyone walking by. The bronzino was really good.

Food was terrific...second
Food was terrific...second to none. The wait staff, while polite and efficient, could have been more friendly.also one of our party had a veal chop and we made the mistake of not asking the price...it was $50....the place did not warrant a $50 entree.

I just love the steak
As we were celebrating an anniversary, my husband and I shared the steak for two with burned onions. I just love it. The quality of the meat is really good, and it is well prepared. Their wine list is better than average, so we had a lovely dinner. The noise level varies. If there are big groups, it can be pretty noisy, if not, it's fine. Eating outside on a pleasant evening is nice too.

Like stepping into old world Italy
In town on business, has seen this restaurant featured in America's Cuisine Philadelphia in my hotel room. We were looking for some old world Italian classics and found them here! Broccoli Rabe with fried hot sausage, stuffed mushrooms and a huge plate of caprese Buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad were are shared appetizers. Dinner entrees included the table side filet of dover sole, the biggest veal chop I'd ever seen, and the "fruit of the sea" pasta. Wonderful presentation and even better execution from the kitchen. Delicious meal was followed by three ICE COLD limoncello after-dinner drinks and the perfect way to end this old world Italian meal. Order for all sides of this menu - you will not be disappointed!

A Nice Italian experience .....
Living in South Philadelphia and having a tremendous number of Italian restaurants to choose from, it was really pleasant to find a nice Italian place place in Center City that had everything that your looking for in a quality dining experience. A nice ambiance comfortable and relaxed, an excellent waiter ( Vince) and really quality food. We'll definitely be back again.

Best Pasta Sauce we Ever Had
We loved this place! Sauce was semi-sweet but yet a tad tangy too. Perfect! Great selection of meals and portion sizes were reasonable.

Booked in a hurry
Reserved for 8 people on a Saturday night. 1 hr before dinner. We were super loud and laughing but they placed us in a table far and exclusive. It was a wedding party and they accommodated us perfectly. Great food stiff drinks. Good service.

Restaurant Week Lunch for 7
We had a group of 7 co-workers take advantage of restaurant week lunch menu. All 7 remarked how wonderful the food was both in quantity and taste. Salads, particularly the house special, were excellent, the main dishes of veal parm, chicken parm and lobster ravioli were delicious and the dessert cannoli did not disappoint! It was not overly crowded during our 12:15 reservation so it made for a nice quiet lunch experience. I would not be a bit surprised if some, if not all, of us take a walk there to try the regular lunch or dinner menu in the future.

D'Angelo's is a little off the beaten path to where I would normally go for lunch location wise, but I am so happy I did! The hostess wished me a happy birthday as soon as we arrived and asked our preference for sitting inside or out. The owner also sang me happy birthday, which was great.
We each had the signature D'Angelo's salad, it was so interesting... in a good way (think egg, bacon, shrimp, and an awesome house dressing). I had the lobster ravioli, which was in the most amazing sauce. My guest had the chicken parm and seemed very pleased with it. Dessert included, of course, delicious canolis!
We were very pleased and will both be back in the future.

Really wonderful food
This restaurant has been around forever and I'd forgotten about it. I ate here about a month ago and was surprised and delighted how delicious it was...so I brought a friend to celebrate his birthday. He is a true gourmet and was skeptical of my choice. Our dinner was excellent and he now says he's a convert to D'Angelo's, too.

LOVE this restaurant
I make a once a year trip to Philly for the PMA show at the Convention Center. Haven't missed D'Angelos in 10 years. We love the food and the whole experience. The broccoli rabe and housemade sausage is a must. The veal chop special is amazing. This is old world Italian food at it's best!

Go to Italy w/leaving Philly
We've always loved Deangelos for classics like chicken, veal or
Steak with their burnt onions, ziti & asparagus, the Milan Salad
& The Special Chopped antipasti.
My wife & I just returned from Rome and were dreaming
About the pasta. Guess what? We were blown away
By Chef's amazing carbonara spaghetti! Not on the menu, but
If your lucky, Bon appetito!
