A bit on the pricey side for a weeknight dinner but service and food were excellent. It's palace we go fairly often because of the food being reliably very good.

A nice neighborhood restaurant
A nice neighborhood restaurant with a good wine list notable for quality at a wide variety of levels. Small plates give one the opportunity to have a numberof interesting items instead of one main course.

I held a business meet there and it was highly successful. Quite, attmtive service. Stephanie was new and wasvery well trained. Polite attentive and pretty. I will come back again, one of the nicer well run restuarants in SLC, easilt. Well done to the managers. The DUCK cobb was a first and exceptional.

Good neighborhood spot, especially if you have to go or come from the Cathedral of the Madeleine for an event--very close.
Helpful service. Loved the laid-back atmosphere.

Great restaurant with very good food. I had the tomato basil soup and it was one of the best I have ever tasted.
Great entree salads and the steaks were perfect. Looking forward to returning.

The moment you enter the restaurant, an incredible smell overwhelms your senses and leaves your mouth watering. The atmosphere feels friendly and relaxed, but you also get the sense of being somewhere of high class. The food only left me wanting to try more from the menu. Our waiter fit the atmosphere perfectly, and provided excellent service. The food came out way more quickly than we expected; about as fast as a Noodles and Company. Although I felt the prices were a little high, I think it's worth it.

Great food, superb service.
We ate outside on May 25th on a secluded but slightly noisy patio. I had the duck and my wife had scallops. The duck was outstanding and the scallops were very good. Their house white wine is Joel Gotts, an excellent Sauv Blanc. The service was European quality, with the perfect amount of unobtrusive attentiveness. My only complaint, other than the unavoidable traffic noise, was that the chairs were a little uncomfortable. All-in-all, a very good dining experience which I will be sure to repeat.

Very Nice Neighborhood Restaurant
We were from out of town and this place was recommended to us by our host at a local B&B. Food was very good as was the service. The sugar snap peas were wonderful. Also appreciated the reasonable prices. Would definitely eat here again when back in SLC.

WILD GRAPE WAS A GREAT SURPRISE
THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME FOR OUR PARTY OF 4. ALL OF OUR DISHES WERE DELICIOUS. THE FLAVOR OF THE WOODFIRED HALIBUT, CHICKEN AND BURGER WERE SUPREME. THE SALADS WERE TASTY AND THE SERVICE WAS GREAT! WE WILL RETURN.

If you're looking for decadent dishes with a unique flare, look no further than Wild Grape Bistro. Their seasonal menu will keep you trying new things, and the way they prepare each dish is a perfect pairing of melodious portions of meats and sides.

Great food! We had the scallops for dinner, we had just returned from San Francisco and while they weren't quite as big as what we had in SF (how can you compete when the ocean is right there) the flavor and the way they were prepared was wonderful! I was also impressed with their wine selection. Would like to see some "draft" beer selections but what was provided was adequate. I will definitely be returning. Great location and unlike San Francisco great parking availability!

Tasty food - but SLOW service
My husband and I are big fans of the Wild Grape, and have been here a number of times. What keeps bringing us back is the tasty food - some menu items are not amazing (scallops the other night were perfect but oddly paired with a quinoa & Israeli couscous... not complimentary) but others are just perfect (the braised beef over gnocchi!). Fun cocktails that are worth trying and a decent wine list. The only problem is the extremely slow service. No matter what time of day, who is working, or how many people are there, try ordering two drinks right away and possibly your appetizer/entree... because there is going to be a wait. Otherwise, it is a great neighborhood hangout, with nice outdoor seating under the grape vines. Give it a try!

Amazing food and service
We go to Wild Grape Bistro at least once a month and it is always great. The burgers are amazing and cooked to perfection with interesting flavor combinations. The salads are great as well. We had the smoked trout salad last time and it was one of the best salads I've ever had. The service is always very friendly too...never a bad experience since we started dining there a year ago.

The Wild Grape has been a downtown dining staple for a number of years. Their menu is interesting and well-executed, particularly their wood-grilled items. They maintain an excellent and varied wine list and cocktail menu. The dining room is elegant and well-appointed with a lovely outdoor patio. Service is attentive and polished.

It was nice
I enjoyed the food and wine both ere excellent, However I did feel the prices were on the high side but fair. the easting was a bit to open and not enough privacy.

Glad I tried it
We ordered the Bison burger, it was terrific. It has great flavors and was cooked perfectly. Highly recommended item. Our other dish was the gnocchi - that one was just ok for our taste. We thought the food prices were reasonable. I agree with other comments that having to order and pay for the bread, which other restaurants offer for free, is a little silly. Overall, I would go back for sure- it has other food selections I would like to try.

The food was amazing. We sat outside under the grape vines.
It was very quiet and quaint!!!

Loved the style of restaurant and atmosphere. Food was absolutely delicious and friendly service. The grape salad was fresh and had a great vinegar être. The prime rib entree was cooked to perfection and the s'mores dessert was divine.

Took advantage of the Dine-O-Round to have another amazing meal at Wild Grape! Highly recommend both the pork chop and the gnocchi as rich, flavorful fall dishes.

Good value for a nice date night
Went on a weeknight for a date and had the spare ribs (me) and burger (him). We each had one of their whiskey sour cocktails. The food was prepared well, the portions were generous, and most of all, even though it was a little of the pricey side, it was a great value for what you got. It doesn't have the dedication to local and seasonal menus that Avenues Proper or the 3rd Ave Bistro does, but it's a nice option in the neighborhood. Will go back to try brunch!
10/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
The food is made of interesting combinations of fresh, local ingredients which made for pleasurable dishes. Combinged with good service, this is a place that should be on anyone's list of good eating establishments.

Great first date spot
I choose Wild Grape on a whim after not having eaten there for quite some time. I hoped it would be okay for a first date type of meal and it did not disappoint. Our waiter had the right combination of attentiveness without being too intrusive. We stayed and talked for about 30 minutes after the meal and we didn't feel rushed (of course we doubled-tipped because of that). The food was quite tasty as well.

Best Bloody Mary I've had to date. Fantastic benedict choices....I had the Grape Benedict with Black Forest ham and was not disappointed. Shrimp & Grits is also incredibly tasty. Good service & vibrant feel about the place. Tables outside are refreshing as the outdoor area is covered with...what else, grape leaves.

Not too shabby....
The food was very good....the service was very good.

Try the F wine!
Last night in Utah, my coworker and I wanted to treat ourselves to a fancy dinner. For 8pm, the place was really quiet but granted it was a Tuesday. The bartender was actually our waitor and he took excellent care of us. We were chatting about vineyards and wine before he recommended the F wine. We were not disappointed. As for the food - pork lettuce wraps (yes), pork belly (not so much), braised short rib (bleu cheese mashed potatoes...yes!) And scallops (why not). Overall- great place. I've been meaning to come here for a while now...glad it finally happened.
10/29/2013 12:00:00 AM
Went for brunch and was impressed. The food was phenomenal and the cocktails (although more expensive than a lot of places) were outstanding. I recommend the prickly pear mojito and Bloody Mary with habanero infused vodka. The service was a little slow, but accurate and polite. We accidentally showed up an hour early, but they sat us as soon as possible. All in all I would go back soon and rate them 5/5

Wild Grape how I love you
The Wild Grape is a hidden gem. Not many know of this place, but once you find it you come back again and again.
Never had anything food that was not superb! We love this place! Only bad thing...it's about a 30 minute drive away.
