I first note that we Have eaten at many of the top restaurants in Las Vegas but none are even close to the overall experience we had at Michael's. although off the strip a ways the service, the food and the comfort of our time there was incredible. Far worth the short ride and the slightly higher cost. We had filet minon and the bass and both melted in your mouth...cocktails are cocktails right....not at Michael's...the desert tray was magnificant....you have to eat there as it will give you a new norm about how to judge you experience at your other favorite eating places....

One of the Best
Michael's is a hidden gem in Las Vegas. Though pricey it is an experience.
It is beautiful, comfortable seating, and the food is beyond description.
The service is beyond anything you'll ever experience.
6/3/2013 12:00:00 AM
Some of the best sea bass I've ever had and the lobster was MASSIVE! Great atmosphere. Service gave plenty of time to enjoy company. Relish dish at the start and fruit platter afterward you won't want for anything.
6/3/2013 4:00:00 PM
Although it was pricey (over 200 dollars - for two people), it was a magnificent dining experience. The service was superlative. It was not rushed (about 2 1/2 hours). The entire staff was extremely friendly and made you feel like one of the family. It starts with a pickled relish tray including sugar beets and quail eggs accompanied by two different types of crackers along with a unique and incredibly tasty cheese spread. After lemon sorbet with dom perignon as a palate cleanser, we had wild salmon (best I ever tasted) and the filet of sole (scrumptious). Perfectly cooked asparagus and shoestring potatoes (not oily) were also ordered. Dessert included chocolate dipped fruit and a fruit basket. You don't leave hungry! A class act!
6/4/2013 4:00:00 PM
The food is superb! The staff treats you like royalty and always leaves you feeling special. Everything from the complimentary olive and crudités platter to the "chef's gift" of an enormous bowl of fresh fruit is just beyond anything you will experience in a high-priced venue. This place is very pricey but you will not leave wanting more.

Excellent food, outstanding service
Make no mistake this place is pricey but you definitely get what you pay for and I personally would rather put my money where my mouth is than give it to the casino. Excellent food, one of the best veal piccata's I've ever had, Dom P sorbet palate cleanser? Awesome! Our server, (it was my BDay and lots of alcohol was involved so I cannot recall his name) but he was great, he made jokes and had a good time with us, also gave me a few good wine tips. They were very tolerable of our big, loud, obnoxious, intoxicated group for which I am very great full because it was a wonderful meal at a very nice resturant with excellent service, all around a great BDay meal that will not be forgotten. Thanks Michaels :)

Beyond my expectations
This place is the best in the world. I have traveled quite extensively and everything about Michaels is top notch. You must go there very hungry because the portions are very large. I would suggest not ordering appetizers because there is no way you will be able to eat your main course. For dessert i would highly recommend the berries with Chambord and the main course Dover Sole and Caesar salad for starters. Plan at least being there for 2 hours or more.

A Wonderful Experience
This is my fourth dining experience at Michael's and each one has been a wonderful experience. Everything about the dining experience at Michael's is first class from the greeting, to the waitstaff, to the food, to the ambiance and everything else. Michael's is by far the best steak restaurant I have encountered, and i do not want to go to any other steak restaurant in any location in the U.S.

A most enjoyable experience
Everything was perfect. Tucked inside the hotel you will find a foodies paradise. The restaurant itself is beautiful, spacious and set for royalty. The service and knowledge of the staff was impeccable. Our server was a wonderful man who seemed to have been with the restaurant forever and spoke very highly of both owner and establishment. The food and care at which it was prepared and presented has been unmatched at any dinner I have sat down at before. The portions were generous and mouth watering. To start I enjoyed shrimp scampi unlike any I have ever had. The sauce was rich, creamy and danced on my taste buds. The Chateaubriand was a great quality of beef and although did not need to Bearnaise sauce I was unable to resist.

Outstanding in every aspect
Excellent food--outstanding service-nice touches all around. Never felt rushed. Relish tray and bread to start. variety of salads and soup. champagne in with sorbet to cleanse palate. Steak perfect sides ample for two and well prepared. Magnificent dessert tray(but who could have room?) Special occasion for us but obvious by the other diners this is well known to local residents.

50 Years to Celebrate
My wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary on JUly 10th. Michaels was the perfect place for our party of four. Our 3+ hour meal with drinks, wine, after dinner drinks and the best food in town was about a good as it gets. Of ourse the staff with decades of service to Michales customers was AAA+. Our freinds at the dinner were recent immigrates from California and were blown away by the food and service. After 31 years of service to Las Vegas clients everyone should know about and visit Michaels.
7/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
the best meal ever
This is the best meal I have ever had. As soon as you are seated they bring on a lazy Susan with giant ripe and green olives, small quail eggs, cherry tomatoes plus much more. I had the house salad that was made table side and the double rib chops that were excellent but the plus was they took a pear and peeled it and then pouched it. After taking out the insides, they placed mint jelly in it and the pear was served on a small plate with an orchid. The dessert was a chocolate mousse cake and then they brought to the table an array of chocolate covered fruit. We thought that was it and then the server brought a large bowl of fresh fruit. The service, food and décor was above that I had expected.

Best dinner experience!
Best meal I can recall! Very special place and in a world of diminishing class and service Michaels is a breath of fresh air.

5 Star Service!!!
Our party of four spent about 4 hours total at Michael's and the time literally flew by! From start to finish the service was PERFECT! Our complete order was taken for our first 3 courses at once so that the chef could plan accordingly. The food was really good, presentation was excellent, portion size very generous. My wife and I shared the Chateau Briand, I'm still eating it a couple days later! We brought a couple bottles of wine with us, corkage was a bit steep at $35/bottle but their wine list was pretty good and the markup wasn't too bad. Business Attire dress code but unfortunately not enforced! Overall great meal, great experience, very pricey, but we also ordered too much which should shave ~$200 off the bill next time :-)

Great place for that special
Great place for that special occassion! Dining there felt like a "spa experience"! Had an old school feel. Very elegant! Great flavors! Perfect staff!! Looking forward to returning.

Wonderful dining experience
Great for special occasions. Service was outstanding. Food delicious and portions are very large. Side dishes can be shared. Great for a special occasion. Will definitely go back again.

Birthday Dinner at Michaels
I have eaten at Michaels many times over the years but this was the first time since it has moved to the SouthPoint. I was pleased to see that the reastaurant has not changed. The service, presentation and high quality of the food is unbeatable. The lobster cocktail is to die for! We also enjoyed a wonderful Bordigioni Zinfindel. We will definitely be back again and again.
7/22/2013 12:00:00 AM
Fine gourmet dining in an elegant setting, but not stuffy or stilted. Prepare to spend money.
7/29/2013 12:00:00 AM
Tom at Michaels
I rank Michaels in top 3 of all restaurants I have visited!! Everything about the experience was outstanding! The only negative is its location, being quiet a distance from the strip, especially if using a Taxi!
7/29/2013 12:00:00 AM
A trip to Vegas is not complete with out dinner at Michael's
7/31/2013 12:00:00 AM
As Good As It Gets
The ambiance was elegant and romantic. The staff was friendly as could be, courteous and as accommodating as anybody could hope for. Drinks were plentiful and delicious. The rack of lamb for two with the king size veggie medley and subtle yet delightful hollandaise sauce...WOW! Caesar salad made at the table used only perfect lettuce pieces and the dressing was spot on. The pallet cleansing lemon sorbet, not that unusual, until they pour in the Dom Perignon! Fruits, homemade chocolates, fresh fruit, pastries, the strawberry shortcake was light, creamy..OMG! By the end of the meal I was looking for a white napkin so I could raise it and yell uncle! I told the maitre d, "stop, you win". He replied, "No sir, you win!" He was right.Just superb!
7/31/2013 12:00:00 AM
Somewhat out of the way location
Somewhat out of the way location but worth the trip (and the schlepp through the not terribly upscale South Point Casino). Very expensive but you get quite a lot for your money. Outstanding service and, with a few minor glitches, great food overall in enormous portions. Staid, adult atmosphere, which we liked, but some might not like the formality. The staff is anything but stuffy, however.
7/31/2013 5:00:00 PM
Liked this Restaurant
I really liked this restaurant a lot. The staff was very friendly and service was outstanding. The food was very good, I usually eat at Joel Robuchon at least once every time I go to Vegas and I decided to try Michaels instead. I really liked this restaurant and will return the next time I go to Vegas!
8/1/2013 12:00:00 AM
We first went to Michaels when it was on the strip at the Barbary Coast. It is still a special place at Southpoint. I wish it would return to jackets required. Good food for a special occasion
8/3/2013 12:00:00 AM
Ever since Michael's has moved to the South Point Casino, everytime I go to Vegas, two or three times a year, we always eat at Michael's. I have never had a bad meal or bad experience. It is consistently fantastic. Outstanding food and service with the best old style ambience where you can hear one another. I highly recommend Michael's.

One of the most AMAZING STEAKS
One of the most AMAZING STEAKS I have ever had. Funny, we live less than five minutes away but had never been to Michael's because it is located in the South Point casino which is smokey and ... well... not the nicest place to visit in Vegas.
We were more than pleasantly surprised with Michael's... we were SHOCKED on how great it was... if it was only in a nicer casino....
We were in a hurry to get to a meeting and did not get to fully enjoy the occasion, so we will most definitely be back VERY soon...
8/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
Me and my spouse wanted a nice romantic evening out. So we chose Michaels. It ambiance was outstanding. The decor was romantic and dimly lit. It was quiet and just the perfect setting for the night we were looking to have. The food was amazing...definitely worth the price! The service was amazing! Before your glass was half empty someone was refilling your glass. Anything you needed, before you could ask they were there attending to your need. We would go here again without hesitation!
8/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
Over all, Excellent but, I wish the prices for the main dishes would be lower . I am sure that by doing that, more people would go there for dinner.
8/18/2013 12:00:00 AM
We were very happy with just everything We have eaten in many great restaurants all over the world however I really would rate this the best in every aspect My husband thought the aame This occasion was for his 75th birthday . Thank you so much for making the evening very special. Jan Jensen

Amazing Food, Amazing Service
Not much to say about Michael's. They treated us right. We went for our anniversary dinner and they made sure it was a special occasion! I knew the food was going to be expensive going in, but it was still a bit shocking when the bill came. That said, I really think it was worth it. The steak was easily the best steak I've ever had. The potatoes au gratin were incredible. The service was almost better than the food! The waiters seemed to have professional degrees in service, that was how good they were. We loved it!
8/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
Elegant, elegant, elegant! If you are looking for fine dining, fine food and fabulous service this is the spot. Don't let Michael's location in the casino deter you. Be prepared to spend a pretty penny but well worth it!
9/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
It's the BEST
Michaels rules. Best place in Vegas. Not cheap but worth every penny. Go there if you want the best. As is said, "The Best is the Best."
9/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
Excellent food. Can't go wrong with any of the menu choices. We ordered the steak for two and had enough to feed six! I felt absolutely terrible leaving that much food behind as we're in a hotel with no microwave! We were in shock when the bill came. Do not order appetizers as you'll be stuffed by the time main dish comes. I'm no skinny Minnie either. Then, just to torture ourselves further we ordered dessert. I had a glass of Dom Perignon and it cost $58. My husband had a $40 glass of port just to give you an idea of prices. One of our desserts was $28. Whole meal was around $500. If you aren't lushes like we were you'll save a bundle.
9/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
If you want a once in a lifetime experience, try Michael's in South Point Hotel and Casino. The ambience was just right and the wait staff was attended to our every need. The spinach salad prepared tableside was one of the best I've ever had! The salmon was moist, delicious and without that "fish" smell that so often accompanies salmon. The wine was excellent. I highly recommend this unique restaurant.
9/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
Our first time to this restaurant, & it was for my husband's birthday. I cannot say enough about the food and the service. Salad was prepared tableside. Rack of lamb for 2 was perfectly prepared & surrounded by an assortment of freshly steamed vegetables. complementary dessert was an outstanding strawberry shortcake. And, that was followed by apres dessert.....assortment of chocolate dipped fruit AND a beautiful bowl of fresh fruit. Very pricey, but certainly worth it for a special occasion. The wait staff was superb.......very attentive, but not intrusive. Needless to say, we were STUFFED when we left, and very satisfied.

It had been several years
It had been several years since we had dined at Michael's but worth the 15 minute drive from the Strip. The ambiance is exceptional having moved the intricate doors and stunning stained glass dome from their original location in the Barbary Coast. The food was served with a flair that reinforced the restaurants dedication to superb cuisine and service. A special experience with an outstanding menu and food preparation!
9/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
A very special dining experience
I am so fortunate to have such an amazing boss. I was in Las Vegas for a conference and he insisted that me and my husband had dinner at Michael's. What an incrediable dining experience. This is fine dining at it's best!
Thanks Ben and you are right its the best food you will ever have.

Long Term Gem
We have been going to Michael's for 13 years. The service is second to none!!! The food is excellent and plentiful. The ambiance is old style - booths and large tables with tall back chairs. Love it!!!!!
9/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
Michael's provides wonderful food and service in a quite ambiance. Perfect for a relaxing dinner.
9/28/2013 12:00:00 AM
Michael's offers unique dining experience everything is done first class from the food, service and decor. You will not be disappointment, it is expensive but well worth it if you are looking for a greating dining experience.
9/29/2013 12:00:00 AM
The food is excellent and the service is unmatched! It's hidden but worth finding!
9/30/2013 12:00:00 AM
First time trying Michael's and it won't be the last. It is a chance for the average Joe to see how the other half lives! The service is the most outstanding I have ever had, and that is saying something. It is very, very, very expensive BUT the old saying " you get what you pay for" applies here. I started with a Crown Royal Manhattan that was very pricey but again it was twice what one normally gets. The appetizer plate was to die for and the hard crackers topped with cheese was excellent. The steak was one of the best I ever had. Crème Brule was outstanding and an Irish Coffee to finish it all off. Will place this place right up on the list of special occasion spots along with the Voodoo. Not sure which one rates as tops.
10/8/2013 5:00:00 PM
Amazing as always
Once again, Michael's has surpassed our expectations. The food was amazing and the attention from the staff was outstanding. We will be lifelong customers!

South Point Oct 9th - 14th
It was our 30th anniversary so decided on Michael's for a treat. Well worth the price, we had the rack of lamb. Having read that with the relish plate and the dessert plate (chocolate covered fruit and fruit bowl) you didn't need to order an appetizer or dessert we still had more then enough to eat. I enjoyed watching the waiters preparing things table side, it was like having a floor show for foodies. We will be back!
10/11/2013 12:00:00 AM
Back in Las Vegas
To celebrate our return to Las Vegas, after a long flight from the east coast, we had dinner at Michael's at the South Point Casino. The knowledgeable and thoughtful staff guided us through the evening. Both the food and ambiance were first class. Although there are many exceptional dining venues in Las Vegas, we will look forward to the opportunity of a return engagement at Michael's..
10/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
I love the way they focus on your every need, as long as you don't have to ask about price.
It was more expensive than I thought, but overall, even though the martini was 26.00 per, it was large enough for two pours, so it was really two martinis and they made me blue cheese stuffed olives, which I LOVE...so, it was really more like $13.00 per martini, which is competitive with Las Vegas pricing. The Rack of Lamb was superb and becasue it fed me for another day after, the $160.00 per couple cost came out to 40.00 per couple per day! :-)
10/30/2013 5:00:00 PM
We always love our experience
We always love our experience at Michaels. The service is like no other. Its fun to have your food finished in front of you. It's our favorite place to go when we are in town. Plan to eat a lot!!!!!!
11/8/2013 4:00:00 PM
Great Local, "in the know" place
It's about 10-15 min from the strip, but well worth the drive. You'll be impressed with the over the top relish tray, which harkens to an earlier time period...old school, supper club. Beautifully decorated with crystals, red velvet and the servers in tuxes take care of your every need. The food was amazing...the Dover sole was superb and the filet Mignon seared perfectly and cooked to the perfect mid-rare temp.
I will certainly be back, every time I'm in Vegas. Helmer was our server and his dedication to fine food and experience certainly showed. He made our experience a memorable one. The entire staff deserves accolades for their professionalism and anticipation of the guests' needs.
