Nice to be able to say we've never had a bad experience at Bistro Henry. Food is great, wine selection is excellent and the service is friendly... So many of the staff have been there throughout the years... Our family would recommend Bistro Henry's to ALL...

Bistro Henry is my favorite
Bistro Henry is my favorite restaurant in the Manchester Area!!! It is one of the few restaurants where I have trouble choosing among the excellent entrees. Fortunately I have had the opportunity to try them all.

There is an outdoor patio.
There is an outdoor patio. They serve BBQ in summer time, check ahead for the night. We had delicious foie GRAS, and I had the sweetbreads, always a good test. They were very good. Appetizer scallops were also good.

Gem in Manchester Vermont
Decided to make reservations here and went on the research I did online based on the reviews of others about Bistro Henry. I was not disappointed at all. The ambience is pleasant and relaxing. Our server was knowledgeable about the items on the menu. I had a question about a certain menu item and what it had in it and instead of guessing, she immediately went to the kitchen and asked the chef about it and came back with the answer I was hoping for. Overall, it is a little pricey but certainly worth the money. The food was delicious. I had the sea scallops with ginger and risotto. My husband had the same but for dessert, he chose the flourless chocolate cake and it was awesome! Look forward to visiting this restaurant again.

Mother's Day Brunch
I decided to try out a new brunch location since our normal spots were all booked. Bistro Henry was an hour drive through the Green Mountains and it was the best brunch I have ever eaten. The poached eggs were perfect, the flavors were spot on, and the service was excellent. They only have brunch twice a year (Easter and Mother's Day). I will be returning to Bistro Henry to try out their dinner menu. If they do so well with a menu twice a year, I am excited to taste their dinner menu.

Everything was very good,
Everything was very good, I would go back again.. The only thing is they need to update the website - we went looking forward to having a half bottle of ROMBAUR white wine only to find out they do not serve it anymore. So that was disappointing but we did find another one of our favorites on the wine list so all was not lost. The service was great, they didn't annoy you by coming over too much but you did feel llike you were being taken good care of. I have nothing but good things to say about the service and the food - and the wine list for that matter.

A trip highlight
After a lot of research we chose Bistro Henry to dine at during our visit to Vermont.
We had an excellent 2006 Barbara D'Alba which was fairly priced.
I had excellent soft shell crabs in a citrus buerre blanc sauce and my husband enjoyed cod
stuffed with scallops. We shared a decadent chocolate peanut butter pie for dessert. I would highly recommend a visit, the staff was also warm and accomodating

So many choices on a Thursday night when Bistro Henry features a small plates menu for 9.99! This presented at least a dozen more options in addition to the regular menu and specials. We started with 3 small plates including spinach salad with roasted red peppers, feta cheese, caramelized walnuts with a balsamic vinaigrette. Salad was presented with our selection of 5 littleneck clams casino! Ravioli with mascarpone and spring peas served with crispy pancetta and hazelnut mascarpone knocked our culinary socks off with flavor and texture. We selected an entree to share from the specials menu. Veal tournedos were sautéed with morel mushrooms in a garlic cream sauce. YUM! Blueberry -pear crisp to finish! To be recommended!

Wanted to have a nice dinner out, get dressed up. Low key atmosphere, mostly and older crowd, food and service was good. Had 2 appetizers and 2 entrees.

A Special Occasion
My wife and I dined here for her birthday which was June 12th. We had seafood which is our favorite. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. We would certainly go again but only for a special occasion.

Bistro Henry's has dependably
Bistro Henry's has dependably good cooking and a moderately priced wine list. It is the kind of place you come to depend on as your place to go when you don't feel like cooking. No special occasion necessary. Dress is casual.

One of the best
Consistent high quality fresh ingredients. Irresistible homemade bread. Cozy fireplace.

Bistro Henry's give out birthday deals, not that you would need one to keep going back. Always a good meal with two or more. My husband was impressed that he could order the liver from the early bird menu that was not offered on the regular menu and it was the best liver ever! The menu has a variety and specials nightly. Everyone can find something to their liking. Friendly servers which makes for a happy evening.

Great dinner in Manchester
Went to Bistro Henry based on OpenTable reviews, and we were not disappointed. On a Friday night it was busy, but no problems with conversations - nice and quiet. Mostly couples, with a few families with kids.
Gale decided on 3 appetizers for dinner warm bread provided to soak up the escargot sauce; the chicken had a nice bite to it, as it should. The waitress helped us select the right glasses of wine for each course - each reasonably priced for nice labels.
We split a dessert - raspberry crisp - which was huge and delicious.
A fine choice if you are in the area and only a few minutes from every hotel & B&B.

Bistro Henry--a find
We enjoyed this restaurant--especially on a most gorgeous evening in August--the service was attentive and helpful. The menu choices were to our liking (would have loved to have their barbeque but was not a Sunday!) We enjoyed our tuna cooked perfectly made with Thai noodles--we would return.

Great "find" in Manchester, Vermont
Bistro Henry consistently serves delicious and creative food in a lovely setting. The wines are always excellent and the servers help you fit the wine to the food. Henry designs delicious appetizers and entrees and his wife Dina creates fabulous desserts. The early bird dinner can't be beat!

Awsome EVERYTHING!!! :-)
We have been going to the Bistro for almost 4 years now. My 'now' husband took me there on our first date and we had the whole back room to ourselves. We go back to Vermont on our anniversary every year and go straight to the Bistro for dinner! We just spent the weekend there, had dinner there on Friday night, and had the whole place to ourselves! It was early, and felt just like it did the first time we went there on our first date! The food is AWSOME!! Service is OUTSTANDING!! And your absolutely treated with respect the entire time! I would recommend The Bistro to EVERYONE!! ;-)

Truly a bistro gem
We began with dinner salads which were a bargain and were Caesar salads with white anchovies. Next came steak au poivre. If you don't want the full experience (which I thought was great) ask them to hold back on the pepper. The pommes frites were great. Half bottle of Merlot was a steal at $25. With dessert and a cocktail before dinner the meal came to $135 including tax. If bistro Henry were closer, we go every month.

Great food, atmosphere
We dined here on a Saturday night. Our server was friendly and informative. Since this was our first time here, we asked our server for suggestions. She highly recommended the mussel appetizer, and the lamb entree'. The mussels were excelllent, the best we've ever had. The escargot was good also, but i have had better. The lobster bisque, as the menu suggested, was really, really good. As far as entrees' we hade the lamb, crab cakes, spinach and garlic ravioli, and the steak frites. All were excellent. The steak was slightly over cooked ( medium istead of meadium rare), but was tender and flavorful. For dessert we had the berry crisp, which was also excellent.

A certainly wonderful place to dine
My husband and I went back here after being here in May. We were not disappointed in the least. Hubby had a steak, cooked to perfection and I had the pan seared sea scallops with lemon/ginger risotto which was excellent. The wait staff was very courteous and accommodating. An overall excellent dining experience!

A Gem of a Find
The Bistro Henry is chef owned. He cooks divinely and his wife makes the most fabulous hot fudge sauce you'll ever taste. Our meal was the linguine with lobster, crab and scallops. There was NO SKIMPING on the seafood ingredients! The meal was outstanding as was the dessert. Our server, Katarina, was just wonderful! She was attentive but didn't hover. Her smile was delightful. We really enjoyed the tutorial she gave us on the different types of wine glasses. A wonderful experience and will definitely make it a point to dine there again. Also recommended it to friends and our family!
