This was our 2nd visit to Truffles. The apps and main meals were excellant. Service was outstanding and well paced. Desert (Apple tart) was just fair. Prices are not cheap but you get what you pay for. Limited menu. Highly recommend you give it a try.

Even though we have probably
Even though we have probably gone by Truffles a thousand times since we moved to the area over 8 years ago but had never been in.
It was fantastic! I loved the fact that they had half portions that we very generous. I had the petite tenderloin and my husband had the lamb. Both we cooked to perfection. We had the apple tart for dessert which was fabulous. We will definately be back soon.

We had a great time on Saturday night. This was our second trip to Truffles. Our first venture over there wasn't very good but I was looking for a spot to have a nice, quiet dinner with my wife and took a chance that Truffles would have improved since our last trip. I was right! Our server was great, the food was excellent! It was a slow night there (Easter weekend)but we felt as though we were valued customers. Congrats to Truffles for making back on our list.

Excellent experience as always.
Excellent experience as always. Our 4th time here. Never a bad meal. The Lobster Crepes appetizer is to die for. Limited menu but something for everyone and every meal we have had has been fantastic.
Excellent wine list.

Our favorite local restaurant
Our favorite local restaurant when wanting something a little more up scale, without having to travel to Boston or Providence.
Food and service is always very good. Good selections on the wine list.
When my wife and I want a more intimate dinner, and don't want to travel, this is the place we go. Highly recommended!

The food is always creative and fantastic. I've been to Truffles a number of times and find the food and service consistently excellent. The wine list is great and the staff knowledgeable enough to help enjoy something new. For anyone looking for a high end experience, this is definitely the place!

We had a delightful dinner with excellent food and service. Full range at our table - chicken, fish, beef were all prepared nicley and complemented by very good service. Nice place for special occasions!

Love the Place
We come to have great food, and good service, and it is quiet so you can actually hear your dinner partners. Wonderful place for a special occasion and for a quick bite, although a bit pricey for just a quick bite. No time for savoring the wonderful meal either.

Truffles is a Gem outside
Truffles is a Gem outside of Boston, the food is fantastic and the service is always excellent.

If you want a great place to celebrate a special occaison do not hesitate to visit Truffles Grille and Wine Bar. The menu has something for everyone and the service was impecable. It is a bit on the pricey side but well worth it for a special occasion.

A great benefit in the suburbs
We have been there many times and are never disappointed. Two very nice dining rooms, good service a fine wine list, and expertly made cocktails are all part of the experience, but the greatest part of it is the food! Always inventive and exciting, and beautifully prepared and presented.
Those of us who live in the area are very fortunate to have such an establishment nearby, but it would be worth a trip even for anyone who lives a greater distance away!
5/16/2013 4:00:00 PM
The bread, butter, and salt to start the meal was amazing! The wine list is very nice and flights to sample were excellent. Risotto balls were excellent to start off with, and the meals were good too. Nothing truly wowed us, but it was an enjoyable meal and night out.

Reliable and Excellent
We eat at Truffles every two or three months, and we have found it to be very reliable. This time, we had baked oysters, caesar salad, lamb chopes and Chilean Sea Bass, Irish coffee and a latte. Our waitress was always within range, she had suggestions for what was good tonight, and everything we had was excellent. I don't usually get lamb "medium rare," but this was exactly right, as were simple but very well prepared vegetables. Price was slightly high for the suburbs (about $130 including 2 glasses of wine, tax and tip), but the dining room is lovely, and we really enjoyed the food. It's as fine a meal as I might get in an excellent downtown restaurant, but with a pleasant drive to get there and convenient parking!

Don't Let The Covers Fool You
Since the restaurant is closed one workday and does not open until 5pm, it gives the appearance for the normal commuter that the place is not operational and somewhat seedy. Some friends and I met there for dinner and were suitably impressed. One coworker indicated that she would have to bring her husband back there in the near future. We were seated at a round table for 6 that was in an alcove by itself, making it feel very private. Our server was attentive and the food was delivered with a normal amount of wait time. The prices seemed a little on the high side, but the half-portions were sizeable. There were some unique menu selections and the food was good quality and flavor..

Ny quality dining at a great price. Unique attention to detail including special salts at table ,including a smoked salt. A wow dining experience in a smaller town! Great find for memorable dining experience

We have been the several times and never had a bad experience. The staff is welcoming and attentive, the food is excellent. We are always happy when we leave.

Truffles was a lucky find for our anniversary dinner from out of town. Eat the shrimp appetizer!

Big treat in a small town
We have been eating at Truffles in Milford, MA, since it opened. We have never been disappointed by the food, ambiance or service. The quality of the food and presentation are excellent. It has been a welcome addition to the suburban restaurant scene.

Excellent food and service
We visited Truffles last Saturday nite, excellent service with a superb dinning experience. A wonderful selection offered, seasoned perfectly. Fantastic wine selection. A must on your list.

Date Night Friendly
This was our first visit to Truffles, for an anniversary dinner. The atmosphere on this week night was pleasant and low-key. Service was just the right degree of attentive. I had a half order of the heirloom tomato salad, and the halibut over lobster corn chowder, both excellent. My husband had the pulled pork sliders which he said were fine if a bit sweet. He did not care for the side of baked beans. He felt the menu was rather limited. We ordered desserts to take home. I particularly enjoyed the 3 mini cheesecakes and would make a stop for these alone. Probably not the venue for families with younger children, but a nice couples spot.

Memorable Anniversary Dinner
Haven't been back here for a year, but should have. The service and meal are as memorable as a year ago. Expensive? It can be but it was our anniversary and the menu changes with what the chef can get fresh. The prosciutto with fresh mozzarella was absolutely delicious and the crab cake as close as one get to a Maryland crab cake in New England. Just needed some Old Bay Seasoning. Dinner was cioppino and a half order of haddock over lobster corn chowder. My wife especially appreciated the latter as it saved room for dessert. Try the trio of cheesecakes for dessert - piña colada, key lime and chocolate. The Grgich Fume Blanc and Treffethen dry Riesling ($$$ wines). No hesitation to go back for a lighter meal.

Good food and service. Atmosphere very good for business meetings or date
9/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
Arrive before 7:30 if you like it quiet and romantic. I eat here several times per year and am never disappointed. I find new menu items every time, this time I really enjoyed the fall harvest salad with squash and grilled fruit. The carrot ginger soup was delicious also. I love pumpkin and they already had a pumpkin bread pudding for desert, yum!

Delicious food and great service!
What a great recommendation from Open Table! There were five of us celebrating a birthday dinner. The appetizers were outstanding (especially the crab cakes and a shrimp dish) and all five entres were standouts. We each had something different. The special steak was wonderful for the birthday guy. The desserts (the 3 cheesecakes, s'mores and creme brulee) were all scrumptious. Service was just great. We had called about some special dietary needs in advance, and these were quietly taken into account. The white Zinfandel was great. All in all, an A+ experience. We will be back!

Interesting New Menu
Menu has changed since previous visit; adding some interesting new entrees. The Rabbit Sausage appetizer was excellent. Chicken sandwich and Petite Filet entrees were both very good on this occasion. The Tilapia and Cioppino also looked interesting. Atmosphere is very relaxed making for pleasant dinning.

1st time and love it!!!!!
It was my first time but not the last. I love everything we ordered from crab cakes as starter to halibut over lobster corn chowder and finishing off with the pumpkin bread pudding which I think there should be vanilla ice cream as well as whipped cream.

Good, as always!
Fine meal as always. My husband had the Ribeye, which was a good portion. It was seasoned slightly more than he liked, but cooked exactly to his med-rare specification. I had the Pork Tenderloin with Cranberry Chutney. It came out almost rare so our server, who knows my taste, returned it to the kitchen rather than serving it. Once fired a little more, it was very tender and quite tasty. This is our favorite restaurant, whether celebrating a family event or for a couple's romantic date night.

Great food and ambience
The steak filet was cooked rare to perfection. The kale white bean soup was a hit with excellent flavor - one of the best I have tasted anywhere. The tuna was not special. lacking flavor and tasting fishy in spots where dark meat had not been trimmed
Overall the food was good and service excellent

Gem in the 'burbs
Overall a great meal and very good service, although they could have stepped it up a bit on the dessert menu. Also, our reservations were for 7:30 and they had run out of their one and only chicken dish. Not everyone is all that flexible, so suggest that they at least have a second chicken option available.

It baffles me how another restaurant down the street is always packed while Truffles is not. Truffles has a more limited menu, choosing to stay with food from one continent, but that right there is a sign of a better restaurant. Truffles service is outstanding. The servers are very well trained. The atmosphere is understated elegance and the owner is always on hand, usually manning the door. Truffles is not owned by a corporation but by one man who is dedicated to creating a wonderful dining experience. It may cost a little more but if you are out and have to choose, don't go by the number of cars in the parking lot.

Truffles is our stand by for a nice dinner and a great place to take friends. We are never disappointed in the food or service. It's a go-to when we're deciding on where to take someone if we want a mostly casual, great meal!

Always excellent. The pork chop and mushroom risotto were superb. Milford's best. And maybe the region's, too.

Impressed my friends
Truffles impressed my friends who own a restaurant group and are more used to Boston dining at Boston prices. They often say there are few options for fine dining in Metrowest. One friend had rack of lamb, which is his test as to whether the chef is good. Truffles passed with flying colors. Each dish was well prepared and presented. The only complaint from my friends was that we hadn't introduced them to the restaurant sooner. There is a fireplace area which is romantic if there's not a large party or busy bar activity. Other seating options are tucked away for quieter, more private dining. Ask to see all options before choosing where to sit.
