We have been to Jory twice, each time to celebrate a birthday. The service is impeccable and the food is amazing! The menu changes are dependent upon what is local and fresh. We will definitely return!

AMAZING! So amazing we couldn't stop eating and left painfully full. First of all we try Truffle Fries everywhere we go, and hands down these were the best and most amazing!
We also had a flat bread with some BBQ Pork, deliscious! We should have stopped there. I had the bouillabaisse. I was a little scared when I saw this giant bowl arrive after I mowed down all the fries and flatbread, but it was SO good and nice and light. The Mr. had the wood-fired wagyu strip loin, it was fabulous but a lot! This is not one of those high end places where you get a tiny portion by any means. The desserts were fabulous as well.

Wonderful service, lovely atmosphere in the heart of wine country, and many delicious food choices. Most times I have been utterly enchanted by The Jory, but on this occasion the menu was full of over-sauced, over ground items and lacking in meat choices. The only poultry or lamb choice came in sausage form with gnocchi and a ragout. The lamb ragout had some savory moments, but it was very oily on the plate and highly acidic. Still, if you want to splurge, you can't beat the ambience and the chance of a few delicious moments. Desserts are splendid, done right, and the overall portions are perfect.

Thank you for a wonderful
Thank you for a wonderful experience. We took our mother for her birthday and were treated with fabulous attention and service. Everyone's dishes were perfectly cooked, as well as extremely fresh and flavorful. We were all very happy with our entire evening. Thanks for helping to make a memory that will last a lifetime.

Our best meal of the trip
Our trip to Wine Country in Oregon was short so we tried to hit all the top recommended restaurants (Jory, Tina's, Joel Palmer House, and The Painted Lady). All were great, however Jory was our favorite. We enjoyed the diversity of the menu. The appetizers were outstanding. The halibut was amazing. My husband had ravioli. It was the best ever. Dessert was delicious.
We greatly appreciated the service and the ability of the staff to accommodate our change in flights and therefore our change in reservation. They seated us at 9:10 which was after their last seating (at 9:00). Complimentary valet parking was unexpected but so nice. It was the perfect way to top off a busy and hectic travel day.

A Fine Time Was Had By All
The Jory Restaurant at the Allison Spa is a NW gem. We enjoyed a relaxing dinner with impeccable service, delious food and a great deal of attention to the fine details. I even was raving about the level of service the next day. I hope to come back soon, while the weather is still warm and dine outside. Thanks for making our dinner an occasion to remember.

Wine Country Elegance
There is nothing else like this in the Pacific Northwest. Great setting, amazing food and a fantastic selection of wine.

As always our visit to Jory
As always our visit to Jory was exellent, look forward to our next visit. We are planning on staying there for a few days some time.
One small peeve, $28.00 for two glasses of Argyle champagne is to much I feel.

Best in Willamette Valley!
We had one of the most fabulous meals we've had in *years* at Jory. Everything way surpassed expectation and transcended into the sublime- from food to service to setting to ambiance to wines (we were in the area for wine tasting in the Willamette Valley). Jory grows all of their own vegetables and I cant even begin to convey the freshness and flavor of the vegetables we had with our meal- we could have made a meal out of the vegetables alone! We were also particularly impressed with the level of food and wine knowledge evident among all the staff that helped serve us,i.e. not just the wine steward was highly educated with regard to the local wines)

Wonderful Place to Celebrate
The food to price value is excellent - excellent quality food beautifully prepared

My husband and I stayed at The Alison for several days and Jory was one of the highlights of our stay. The menu offered a wonderful selection and the service was excellent. Brunch on the terrace was so peaceful, combining beautiful views with delicious cuisine. Every meal we experienced at Jory was always accompanied with "This is the best I've had in a long time...".

Outstanding food, attentive service
Jory is one of the finer restaurants we have tried. The food was outstanding and the service was attentive without feeling rushed. We enjoyed two meals there...dinner and breakfast and both were great.

Too Slick for Oregon
Missing the casual elegant touch, it felt a bit cold. Everything a bit too forced. Starters were great, main courses need some work.
7/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
Enjoyed everything about Jory. Service, food, ambience. They are the full package. Wish we could be here longer to try the entire menu. Thank you Jory for a delightful experience.

Great brunch at Jory. Grilled Salmon was perfect. Next time I'm staying at The Allison Resort and Spa.

Another Enjoyable Meal
This was our second dinner at Jory in 4 months. The menu choices were well-varied. The food was perfectly prepared. The staff members were attentive but not obtrusive. The diners in the restaurant were from varied backgrounds, yet all were treated with the same attention and respect, something satisfying to observe. Overall, a delicious meal and a very pleasant experience.

Better than Painted Lady
We stayed at the Allison and thought that was a great resort and that the JORY is an Outstanding restaurant. Recommend JORY over the Painted Lady, which was good, but very over priced.

Great food in Wine Country
Had a wonderful and inventive meal here! My husband's ragu was some of the best ever but a very unusual preparation. Pinot noir and plum sorbet was fantastic!

Outstanding food and service, amazing wine list and wonderful ambience!

Hands down, this was the best breakfast I've ever experienced! One of the best meals... Ordered the crab cakes eggs Benedict, everything on the plate was perfection. Really!

Jory Restaurant has a beautiful patio to enjoy your meal outside in the summer months. We both had the prix fixe lunch, sampling 3 seasonal menu items for $23. Wine pairings for the courses are an additional $16 but was worth it. The house smoked tuna used in the tuna melt was unlike anything I have ever tasted, delicious! This is a wonderful find in Oregon's wine country!

Food was very good. Menu was somewhat limited. Service was excellent and everyone was very friendly. Nice outdoor atmosphere for dinner.

Made the Mama Very Happy
Took my mom here as a special treat and from the complimentary valet service with very kind people helping us (she's a bit frail) through the door, to the wonderful service, food and wine to the surroundings, this place won in every way. We went for brunch with most of us having the Benedict, both regular and crab. All of it wonderful. My husband who rarely eats pasta insisted on taking his leftover Mac & Cheese home with us. That is a first in 10 years.
As one exec put it at the company I work at "Who knew you could find this kind of place in Oregon?" That's a bit snobby but it's the kind of place you'd expect in Napa where there is a lot more money.

We live in the Willamette Valley and have been hesitant to try this local spot worried that it was all hype. We were pleasantly surprised to have all of our low expectations broken by the amazing service, superb food, and truly "wine country" ambience. We are now going to put this on our frequent visit list and are planning on both a hotel and spa stay even though we live less than 20 minutes away.

Fine Dining at its Best
From the minute you drive up, walk in and are seated, this place impresses. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the drinks, the food, the area, the restuarant, etc. She had the sommelier help us with wines and he was the best I've ever had! He asked a lot of questions related to our tastes and then brought out four bottles to discuss. We then picked one and it was fantastic! Our food was all done perfectly; fish dishes moist, vegetables fresh, and everything very tasty. Good portions, and prices are very reasonable for such a high end place. Food was the best we had in the Willamette Valley. I can see why the Inn is booked pretty solid; it's beautiful and you'd never want to leave the premises (except to go wine tasting).

Gracious dining without the "uppity attitude". The "lunch tasting" entree was excellent.
9/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
I took my friend there for her birthday. Not only was the food superb, service friendly and excellent but her birthday treat was MAGNIFICENT. I had a hamburger which was done exactly as I had ordered it, and the house fries were the best I had ever had.....fries?......crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. Delightful experience.
Do not use Bing maps for directions to get to Allison Inn & Spa. They are not even close to correct. Use Google or better yet search Jory Restaurant.

Perfect spot for a special occasion. We ate breakfast/brunch on both our mornings here and it was delicious. The service was great and the space is very relaxing and serene.

Kudos to the Chef
Jory is a culinary experience that is worth the small missteps by the wait staff. Hostess seems overwhelmed leaving us waiting for our table 10 minutes beyond our reservation. I had to inquire to get seated. Getting a drink can be a frustration as well. With that behind us, the meal was simply wonderful. I'd certainly return and will again tonight.
9/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great food, great service! Corn soup, Wagu beef, even the after dinner cheese plate - all delicious! Atmosphere is nice, but nothing extraordinary, unlike the rest of the resort which is the best place we have ever stayed hands down. A perfect place for the last night of your stay when you don't want to leave the beautiful Inn. Definitely recommend!

An unexpected find. Thought
An unexpected find. Thought I would try JORY on my travels through Williamette Valley. Glad I did!!! Food and Service were excellent. Wine list better than others and the sommelier was extremely helpful.

We recently stayed at the Allison for a weekend get-away. We had a chance to have dinner and brunch for the first time at Jory. We have had linch a couple of times in previous visits to Jory, but this is the first time we were staying at the Allison itself. The service was very upscale without being overly formal. The food certainly lived up to my high expectations. The wine was so good that it promted us to vist the winery the next day to see if we could get more to take home.

Great as always
My wife and I love to eat here, our waitress was a delight, very good food look forward to our next visit. Will be taking some friends for dinner as a reward for a favor soon. I look forward to having oysters there always good.

Jory was very good but..
It wasn't the best in Newberg. The menu was small but we were easily able to find something we liked. The scallops were amazing! The steak was good but it wasn't as good as a steakhouse steak, nor did we expect it to be. The staff was very friendly, the wine list was extensive to say the least and they were spot on with recommendations. I have it 4 stars because for the money, we preferred another restaurant better.

Great food, good service -- very nice place. We'll come back next year for our next anniversary.

Jory was on point!
This was one of our best dining experiences. Every course was seasoned correctly and the service was excellent. We were skeptical
Eating in a hotel but this was different. We split a salad and each had a dinner. I had the pork and my husband the salmon. The wood fired entrees hit the spot on a cool fall night. The vegetables and starches that came with the meal were exceptional as well. I asked the waiter about them and he was knowledgable about the preparation. The dessert ( butterscotch boudin) was the perfect ending to a great meal.
