Good Place for Tapas
Went here on a whim for a girlfriend's b-day after shopping. We had a drink at the bar and then ate dinner in the dining room. We did the Chef's menus and were STUFFED by the end of it! Marty was a great waiter/ bartender and made the night more enjoyable. Great place for some tapas and drinks.

It's not very often that you
It's not very often that you find a restaurant that makes you feel like a part of their family, Nia does that. From the time you walk in until you leave the service is impeccable. The food, wow, I can't pinpoint one word to describe but amazing comes to mind. If you love great food and great service, then visit Nia.

Met a friend for drinks and
Met a friend for drinks and light dinner after work. Service was very attentive. We just had salads and an appetizer from the cold plates section of the menu and they were delicious. I would like to return with a heartier appetite to try the 8 course small plates menu, which looked to have a very nice variety at a very reasonable price. I liked this restaurant MUCH better than the over-hyped, over-priced menu and pretentious service at Girl & the Goat, which is on the same block.

Very slow service -
The menu is fantastic and all the food was good. However, the service was awful. We waited 30 minutes just to get a glass of wine. Had a horrible time trying to track down our waiter to order more food, and frequently we went 15-20 minutes with empty wine glasses. We ate and drank less than we would have, simply because we couldn't handle sitting around and waiting any longer. May go back, but perhaps on a slower week night, as we did enjoy the food we had.

Went there for my 24th birthday and I was amazing. The only thing I wouldn't order again was the paella. The tiramisu was to die for!!!

My new favorite restaurant
We stumbled upon Nia Mediterranean on a recent visit to Chicago. What a treat! Beautiful décor and an intimate dining room, coupled with a very friendly and inviting staff started our visit off great.
We had the Prix Fixe Dinner Special, only $33 per person, and we received 8 delicious courses of hot and cold tapas. A foodie-heaven of scrumptious flavors, there were lots of dishes to choose from, including vegetarian options! The wine list was impressive, and the craft cocktails were imaginative and refreshing. We, of course, had to try “The Best Sangria in Chicago” and were not disappointed. I think it’s definitely the best sangria I have ever had, in my life!!
Lots of delicious food, nice relaxed atmosphere, no-pretentiousness here!

A nice start to date night
My wife and I had tickets to the Symphony on Friday. She works in Wicker Park and I work in West Loop. Late on Thursday Night, we figured that our schedules would work to have dinner before CSO. I figured that Randolph Street would be a good option for a place to get a last minute reservation (the Loop would be all booked), at a good place. I saw in Open Table that there was room at Nia, we'd never been. Our res was for 6 and I put in the reservation that we had to wrap up by 715-720 to get to the Symphony. They "managed" our time very well for us by asking if we'd like more tapas (while we were chatting away), more pita/bread for the dips, and also timed things so we felt comfy, time-wise, for dessert and coffee. It was all good.

Great restaurant - I was a little nervous after the 4th course that it was not going to be enough food to feed the 4 hungry men at my table, but after the delicious bread pudding, we were stuffed.
Note: We got the sangria - mango was a hit, avoid the raspberry.

Some tapas were great, most just so-so. It is way too expensive for the amount and quality of food.

This is one of my favorites in Chicago. The red pepper gnocchi is TO DIE FOR. Their ceviche is delish. I've never had a dish there I didn't like. The service is always impeccable and the ambiance is vibrant with great music.
I will continue to return here over and over and over again.

First Class in Every Way
My dining experience at Nia's restaurant was first class in every department. Each and every dish, and we had plenty of them, was fresh and delicious. The ceviche was the best I've had, the crab cakes and scallops were out of this world and the lamb and feta meatballs were super delicious. We also had fun with the cocktails, their names were witty and they went down smooth as silk. All in all, it was a fabulous dining experience and I'd recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional meal at a moderate cost.

A Truly Memorable Dining Experience
This was my wife's and my first visit to Nia, and we will be returning with family and friends. Very European, very hip but not intimidating to older folks (like us.) The blend of multpile cuisines makes choices fun and easy. The 8 course prix fixe dinner was the best way to sample a lot of foods: it was value-priced, the portions were large, and every single item was delicious. We especially liked the strip steak with pesto, mushroom risotto, and diver scallops. The drink and wine lists are eclectic, interesting, and priced fairly. The evening was enhanced by our waiter, Marty, a retired cop, who was one of the most helpful, friendly, and engaging servers I have ever met. He clearly enjoys his job and makes the experience a peak one. GO!

After my friend told me of this place 2-3 years ago, I finally made it to Nia and it did not disappoint as everything from the food to the ambience and service was amazing. And the choices of Tapas was great and anything you try there will be really good. Would love to go there again!

This is a favorite spot for
This is a favorite spot for us and our friends after a theatre matinee at Steppenwolf. The four of us always select 6-8 appetizers and share them though we always have the diver scallops as they are not to be missed. This leaves us room for dessert and our favorites are the bread pudding and the tiramisu. A Agiorgitiko St George bottle of Greek wine is our choice of beverage. Bon Appetite!

Fantastic group dinner!
Our group of 8 had a lovely time here on Saturday night. It's not too loud/crazy so we could hear each other, but not so quiet that we didn't feel free to chat and catch up. We set up our large group menu before we arrived and so the food was prompt, portion sizes generous, and we all agreed it was delicious! Definitely would recommend for ease and quality for a group meal!

Great Special Occasion
We celebrated our 34! wedding anniversary here. The staff was fantastic. Took our photos. Brought us a gratis glass of champagne. made us feel super special. The food was fantastic!

Ate here with a coworker this evening. Sat outside on their small, but beautiful patio. Ordered bacon wrapped dates, crab cakes, calamari (fried), saganaki, spinach cigars and risotto. We both agreed that the food was fantastic. Also topped it off with Tiramasu and sautéed banana. Again - fantastic. Our waiter, Walker, was exceptional. He was extremely attentive, very helpful while ordering and brought a "tester" drink - which was to die for (vodka, crushed orange and soda).
Highly recommend. I will absolutely be back.

Can't Wait To Go Back
I really enjoyed the ambiance, the food and service during my recent visit. I'm usually the one trying all new selections on menus, but we had a few picky eaters in the group. We went with the 8 course menu and enjoyed the Nia salad, bacon wrapped dates, crab cakes, the seasonal gnocchi in sage brown butter, saganaki, jumbo garlic shrimp, and I forget the name of the skirt steak. My favorites were the Nia Salad, Crab Cakes and Saganaki. I can't wait to go back to work my way through the menu!

Marty is terrific
4 old friends went to Nia's Saturday night. It was not very full, but had been highly recommended.
Marty was a great waiter and our food was delicious.
Try it- best kept secret

My husband and I really enjoyed this restaurant. We order the 8 course Prixe Fixe and everything was delicious. Most of our dishes were swimming in oil, but that is to be expected at a Mediterranean restaurant. Our waitress was not overtly friendly, but adequately attentive. The restaurant is very low-lit which I enjoyed and added to the romantic ambiance of our date night.

Double Date night at Nia's
Double Date night at Nia's last Friday, 9/13, was fantastic! We opted for ordering off the menu instead of the 8 option prix fixe. We ended up ordering the following - asparagus (great bacon, cheese, tomato relish on top), arugula & goat cheese salad (loved the yellow tomatoes), gnocchi (devine), eggplant involotini (good), beef brochette (marinated onions & horseradish cream happiness), bacon wrapped dates (could have eaten 20 of these), escarole (good), and finally one bread pudding (perfect ending). the plates are perfect for 4 to share - you each get a bite. We all left fat and extremely happy! The place is dimly lit, not too loud, easy to carry on a conversation. We would definitely return!

Had an early dinner so that we could make a music event down Randolph at City Winery. First time here and from beginning to end, the experience was great. Did the price fixe and each of the 7-8 courses were great. Would highly recommend.

Party of four first time
Good food and service and had a great time with our party of four. Was not too noisy or over crowded would definitely come back and recommend. Enjoyed the 8 course menu had a mix of everything.

This is a tough call for me because I wanted to be adventurous and try something out of the box for me and finally try something new so I decided to give Mediterranean food a try. When I try new foods i usually go with friends that know the food but i chose this restaurant because they had a fixed menu which made picking food easier. i was surprised with the selection because I felt as though I was in a Spanish tapas place, I guess I was expecting something unique but it was lacking. It's a very romantic place and I enjoyed being there for a date but for the price we could have gone to something better.

Good advice from the server
The menu was ordinary, but the server suggested the special small plate luncheon priced at $22 per person. Tapas choices were excellent and creative. Food was really delicious and served hot! The amount of food served was perfect. Plan on returning for dinner!!

A Fun dinner
Six of us met at Nia for dinner. We had a wide variety of tapas and enjoyed them all. One of my favorites was the citrus cerviche. And the bacon wrapped dates are always delicious and hard to pass up. We all enjoyed the red sangria as well. The service was just right. Always there to take our orders and refill our wine glasses.
I cannot think of anything negative to say about our evening. We all had a really fun time having a variety of different tasting foods. Next time we are in Chicago we will have to return.
