We were staying in Seattle
We were staying in Seattle for one night, and found Nijo via OpenTable, despite our hotel having a highly rated sushi bar, we wanted to escape and so booked in. Service was very good, and we sat up at the sushi bar where the chef's happily chatted with us, asking what we were ordering, happy to make suggestions and recommendations and actually made our night. The meal was good value for the quality of sushi on offer.
Would happily recommend Nijo to anyone visiting Seattle.

I Liked It!
Really good happy hour. I like the fact that it goes from 4-7pm, and you can even make a reservation. Delicious food that's fresh. Very friendly and attentive service.

Great location next to the
Great location next to the waterfront, we went for a walk and went on the ferris wheel afterwards. Food was excellent. We had the Miso soup, gyoza, and spider roll. The gyoza(potstickers) were incomparably good to anything I've ever had. Cheap drinks for happy hour. I highly recommend Nijo's bar and grill.

One month dinner date
Nijo was great! My girlfriend and I had never had sushi like this before, very artfully made and delicious to boot. The service was spot on and the food came out so quick and effortlessly . I'd recommend asking then for their expertise on the sake menu because its a big one. Go here!

One of the best Sushi eateries
What a gem: The freshest sushi, the most gracious service by Nicole and a quiet atmosphere! It was a joy for us to return. Looking forward to return to the warm weather Bamboo garden patio.

Food and service excellent....but
Food and service excellent....but it's just too noisy! Please remember, PEOPLE, that not everyone wants to hear your loud conversations and gaudy laughter; some of us want to savor the delicious food and talk quietly to each other.

Great Sushi Happy Hour
I came here for a get together happy hour with a party of 7 (so I made a reservation using the Open Table link on their website). I arrived a bit early but they set up our table within 5 minutes. The food was excellent (especially for the price!), I really like the sake (salmon) nigiri, it was melt in your mouth goodness. I would go quite as far to say this is the best sushi in Seattle or anything, but it is really cheap for sushi without sacrificing quality. The only complaint I have was that our server seemed very rushed the whole time, she often rushed away before everyone could put in their order and she wasn't all that friendly. Still, all of our food and drinks came in a timely manner and she didn't get any of the orders wrong.

This was my second time at Nijo for business lunches and I have enjoyed both have been superb. Good service, good food and quiet enough you can discuss business. Plus it is only a couple of blocks from the Ferry Terminal. Thanks. We will be back.

Our favorite Japanese Restaurant
Many times we have returned for the best, delicious Japanese food, good wine or beer, wonderful atmosphere, and very kind and professional service. We love to go to Nijo when we are in Seattle!

Sushi very good...
A real Japanese place. If you don't like either Sushi or Japanese, you won't like it. I loved it. My wife and son, not so much.

Great happy hour! We had
Great happy hour! We had a very limited time to eat before a show and while it took a little while to get our food (they were swamped) once we got it, they were great about getting additional drinks and getting our check for us very quickly.

Cozy surprise in cool building!
Heard about this from other reviewers and it did not disappoint. We got there late. But we happened to be there just in time for Late-nite Happy Hour. Which started at 10p. We ate inside but the outside patio which faces Post Street alley looked very acco
inviting with all the plants.
Sushi was very good, however, there was only one sushi chef at that hour and he looked American. Was definitely not Japanese. I'm kinda partial to having sushi from a well-learned Japanese chef. But if others can learn the craft and do it well, then I'm good with that.

Hidden Gem Downtwon
Food was delicious and we enjoyed everything. Place was a bit small but cozy. Would come here again when we visit Seattle.

Great sushi place
Had dinner there before seeing a show at the 5th Ave Theatre. Great atmosphere, food and service. A little noisy, but it's a popular place. Happy hour is everyday, and they have some great inexpensive items on the menu.

High Quality Sushi
The maki rolls were so thoughtfully designed to accentuate rather than detract from the flavor of the fish. The exceptionally high quality of fish was evident. For our last order, we asked for something that wasn't on the menu. They did not hesitate.

Always a great place for happy hour
Nijo's never disappoints. Their happy-hour prices are great, and we're regulars there.

This gem of a restaurant was recommended to us by a friendly airline steward and we found it well worth a visit. You may need some basic knowledge of japanese cuisine ( which we did not have) but the staff were helpful.
Good happy hour helps to keep the cost down a bit.
Worth a visit.

The girl I brought here said in was the fanciest sushi place she had ever been too. I was told I choose a great place!

Lovely Conclusion After a Concert
We got out of the Paramount and headed down here. Not a ton of money on us, but we figured we could get a couple of rolls and an appetizer. Very fair pricing, and when the food came out, I was blown away. The grilled beef wrap was juicy, savory, and had my mouth watering with every bite. The eel roll was tasty, but the tonkatsu curry was surprisingly good. I don't normally like Japanese curry, but this was too tempting to pass up. A relationship is hardly more strained when it comes down to the last piece of meat, and that tonkatsu was just like mom makes.
I'm too happy with this place. We went around 11:00 on a Thursday, so it was fairly dead, but I think the service is great, regardless.+

Freshest sushi and great sake !
This has been our favorite sushi restaurant in Seattle since discovering it! No place else does it as well. Sake selctions are vast. Coconut Cosmo is a great drink too! Can't beat their Happy Hour prices either!
