This is a great restaurant.
This is a great restaurant. Superb food, excellent service, beautiful ambiance, it's all here. We've eaten in fine restaurants all over the country and this one can hold its own with the best.

Food and service were good; you're made to feel like a very welcomed guest. Restaurant week menu was nice but we were surprised that the full menu wasn't also offered. We don't like large portions, but the portion sizes for all 3 courses seemed a little smaller than usual. Two tiny oysters for my starter, six bites of chicken for an entree, and less than a 1/4 cup of ice cream with similar size of whipped cream. I came home still hungry...

We ate at the Peacock Restaurant
We ate at the Peacock Restaurant & Lounge the first night of our stay at the Inn, and it was a perfect meal... from the expertly-made Manhattan (Thank you, Ron!) to the delicious oysters with beet mignonette & sea salt to the succulent steak entree – everything was top notch. Ron, the owner, is the consummate host... and helped to make our evening a special one. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the Easton/St. Michaels/Eastern Shore area.

Favorate in Easton
Second time here and if anything better than the first which was outstanding. The suggestion for the wine was particularly insightful, I mean what do you pair with Rabbit? A limited menu (small place can't have a long menu) but with great variety. Very relaxed atmosphere. I think it is the best restaraunt in Easton and St. Micael's area.

This restaurant was given a great review in the Annapolis Magazine May issue. So my husband and I wanted to try it. It was a 54 mile drive and well worth the trip to the Eastern Shore. It would be a great stop for those coming or going to Ocean City. The restaurant and grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed all the food except the appitizer. I believe the oysters were under cooked. The entrees were wonderful and extremly well prepared. The presentation was great. The desserts were fantastic to OK. The cream burlee was average the bread pudding was out of this world. Don't miss it if you have the chance to try it.
The service was superb from both the server and owners.

The host welcomed us at the door, and was very accommodating along with a most attentive staff that timed everything perfectly. The menu selection was thoughtfully limited which to me was a good sign of quality control. Our wine was decanted before being served our appetizers of duck spring rolls for my wife, and fois gras for me, both excellent. Next, we were served our entrees of seared scallops, and lump crabcakes, again excellent. All dishes were an artful persentation. We finished with strawberries romanoff ice cream, and the bread pudding along with a complimentary glass of white port in celebration of our anniversary. You bet we will return!

Our party (2 adults, 2 kids)
Our party (2 adults, 2 kids) were the only guests that evening, and we were treated like royalty. Ourwaiter was extremely attentive and accommodating. My wife has some very special dietary needs, and despite the smaller than usual menu she found the food extremely pleasing. We started off with a salad with strawberries and a roquefort dressing, and foie gras. All very well presented. The main courses were angus steak (rare - as ordered) and rock fish. The portions were generous but not overwhelming. The selections were slightly limited, and we would have preferred a menu in front of us. However, our waiter was extemely accommodating.
Overall, an exceptional experience and were well worth the price!

What a great experience! My wife and I really enjoyed Peacock! From the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty! The inn keeper met us at the door and sat us at our table. After the meal he was even kind enough to show us around the Inn which is just beautiful. We enjoyed the vodka tasting and especially the food. I had a scallops special with black linguine in a garlic saffron broth that was out of this world!! We will definitely be back!

Peacock has something to crow about
My wife and I had the pleasure of spending two nights in The Inn at 202 Dover and eating at the Peacock Restaurant.
The owners have spared no expense in making their restaurant a destination dining experience. The food is top-notch in quality and presentation. Ron, one of the owners, is on-hand to advise wine-pairings and ensure everything is done to the diner's desire. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. The menu, although limited in choices, likely has something for every taste and is sourced from the best area farms and beyond. Highly recommended.

This was by far one of the best dining experiences we have had. The service was attentive but not overbearing. the menu was small but diverse and the food was superb. There were seven of us and we each had something different, everything was perfection, The wine list was balanced and reasonable . The room was quiet and we felt like we were in a stately dining room in an old Southern home. I will definitely return to The Inn at 202 Dover and recommend this restaurant without hesitation. We've had dinner here twice and both times the food has been outstanding! Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and of very high quality (and priced accordingly). Foodies definitely won't be disappointed.

We went for birthday dinner. It was a quiet Monday evening. Everything was very nice

Our dinner at the Peacock Restaurant was flawless! The service was perfect, the food was exceptional, and the atmosphere was very nice. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all.

Everything about our evening was perfect. We both ordered the rock fish, had spring roll salad and peach salad for appetizers and finished our dinners with bread pudding and home-made ice cream. I have lived in Talbot County for over 40 years and this was one of the best meals I have had in Talbot or any place else.

Gem in Easton
We enjoyed our dinner immensely at the Peacock Restaurant located at the the Inn at 202 Dover. Our appetizers and entrees were very well prepared, and could match any dishes that we have had in places like New York City, Los Angeles, or Paris. We enjoyed chatting with the owner, Ron, and the service was great. I would highly recommend this place to all diners in the metropolitan DC/Baltimore area.

This restaurant is located
This restaurant is located in downtown Easton and has always been a favorite of ours. The food is always excellent and the staff goes out of their way to explain everything on the menu in detail. The friendliness of the staff is appreciated as well. The ambience is very relaxing with plenty of windows to view the quaint town of Easton. Definitely worth a visit!

Elegant Dining in Grand Style
From our approach to the grand old house at 202 Dover thru the dinner the dining experience was delightful. Dining in a beautiful old house gives one a glimpse of the grand life a century ago. When you enter you walk thru the Victorian foyer, center hall and living room to be seated on the glass enclosed veranda. We enjoyed every aspect of the food and service, an extremely tender and flavorful steak and one of the best prepared scallops dishes ever, anywhere. Everything exceeded our expectation -- and it always has. While we always use 202 for special occasions, we really should dine there more often!

Elegant, comfortable, and inviting. Superb service and beautifully prepared cuisine. We'll be back! Thank you!

We had a delightful time. Everything about this restaurant is wonderful. The food, the atmosphere, the service. We were celebrating a birthday which they acknowleged with candles on the desert and port ( very thoughtful). The service was gracious, the atmosphere refined, elegant, yet still very comfortable. I could go on and on about the food - every dish presented we had an artistic presentation that was beautiful and delicious. Arlene and Leon

Just a wonderful dining experience. Perfectly executed food, extraordinary vodka program, perfect wine pairings and outstanding service in a beautiful dining room- doesn't get much better than this.

Perfect dinner, as well as service, presentation and delightful host. It was a wonderful way to end our vacation, and would highly recommend this restaurant. We are from the NYC area and this Easton restaurant is as outstanding as any we have gone to in Manhattan---but a much better value.

A beautiful space for dining
A beautiful space for dining at the Inn at 202 Dover. Although a large party was dining at the same time, they were accommodated in a separate room and we did not hear them. The service was friendly and the food outstanding. The menu is not extensive which allows an attention to detail not found in most restaurants. Each of the dishes we tried was delicious, balanced and beautifully presented. I highly recommend the fish dishes.

Gourmet food fit for royalty
Really delicious meal. Such wonderful and unexpected combination of flavors. The menu changes with the seasons and we were there in October. My husband got the wild boar and it was delicious. I got lobster with garlic pumpkin which was also divine. The wine list was full. The no-flour chocolate cake and creme breule for desert was wonderful. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The owner stopped by the table to ensure we were happy..... which we were. The ambience is elegant but comfortable. I highly recommend The Peacock at The Inn at 202 Dover.

What a find for a special evening!
We happened upon Peacock (thanks to Open Table) and were thrilled to find the excellent reviews were all well-founded. A small but interesting menu - very seasonal with duck and wild boar, both delicious - was supplemented by some great sounding specials. The owner guided us to the perfect bottle of wine to accompany our meal. The enclosed porch is a beautiful setting. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the service attentive, knowledgeable and not intrusive. After dinner we retired to the lounge - we didn't want to leave and the owner was happy for us to linger and savor the dining experience.

The Charm of Easton
Both of our meals were out of this world. The Beet Salad was a work of art. Plus, it tasted as good as it looked. The servers were friendly and the decor brought you back to more formal era. It was classy without being stuffy. Can't wait to return when in Easton.

We enjoyed our meal so much that we ate here again the following night. It was definitely one of the best meals we've ever had and we come from NYC where you can have anything. We frequent different restaurants often and are happy to pay the price for an excellent meal like the one you will find at Peacock. The menu is creative and presentation is beautiful and appetizing. The flavor is phenomenal. The service is outstanding, they are very attentive. We couldn't find one thing we didn't like about this establishment. The oyster soup is an absolute must. We were equally impressed with a NY strip special (cooked perfectly) and the duck. If I were to even pass through Maryland again I would make my schedule fit in a stop at the Peacock.

Worth the trip
Driving to Easton through a rainy fall evening in heavy traffic is a pretty stressful way to go out for dinner, but all that is gone when you enter the Inn, a beautiful mansion in the heart of historic Easton. The decor is elegant and tasteful, and the Peacock Restaurant makes you feel you've been invited to dine with local gentry, refined yet in no way stuck up. From the first bite of my oyster bisque and salad I knew this was a winner, and the rockfish main course was equally well prepared and presented. My companion greatly enjoyed her leek velouté with roasted chicken and duck breast main course, and we topped things off with delicious home-made ice cream. Truth be told, a little pricier than Open Table indicated, but well worth it.
