Warren Fitch recommended the Margarita at Pine Creek. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the wonderfully courteous nature of the staff. I will be back for sure.

Another great lunch!
Another great lunch! The menu rotates, so there is never a dull meal. The food quality remains high regardless of the menu selected; great kitchen and service staff.

On this particular occasion,
On this particular occasion, we enjoyed live music in the downstairs lounge and sampled several of the small plates. The phyllo-wrapped shrimp and the crab & spinach dip were excellent and the Sesame Chicken Salad was a treat - fresh, well-prepared and tasty! I rated the "noise" as "energetic" as the live music and the capacity crowd in the lounge fostered a happy environment and a great time was certainly had by all. We've traveled and lived all over the United States and beyond, and we've discovered precious few places with such a good "vibe" as The Margarita at Pine Creek. We're looking forward to our next visit!

Still one of the best
This long treasured restaurant remains a favorite. The staff is enthusiastic about the food they serve which is both natural and delicious. The facility has an ambience making every room a private dining experience.

We were very surprised to find such a gem on the north end of town. I can't wait to take more friends and family. We loved the eclectic vibe and the excellent food and service.

The food was delicious and a great deal at $39 for a five course prix fixe meal. The interior and exterior are old but clean. We haven't been in a few years but after this visit will be going more often.

On Saturday evening, they had an oboe, flute and piano trio playing.
They didn't play constantly, so it was neat to hear the music, and then
have no trouble at all conversing.

The Margarita always meets my expectations. The food and service were wonderful, as usual.

Great Food . . . with limitations
I had not been to the Margarita at Pine Creek for several years and found it just as charming as I remembered. Their food is excellent; however, I do believe they need to expand their options of vegetarian and gluten-free offerings. I do not eat meat or gluten, so the options for me consisted of their salad and broccoli soup (which I assumed was vegetarian). On their Web site they indicate that if you have "dietary restrictions" you can call ahead and they will accommodate those. Unfortunately, I was unaware of that so was stuck with soup and salad. They were delicious, but I would love to see more options as many of the good, local restaurants are offering. Their dinner menu may offer more variety, so I'll try them for dinner.

Way above my expectation
The name doesn't mean what you think it does. I was expecting upscale mexican--what I got was locally sourced and fresh ingredients in a wide variety of american and fusion dishes. This restaurant delongs in a big cosmopolitan city, and Colorado Springs is lucky to have had it for almost 40 years. Our server was one of the best I've ever had while not being too stuffy or formal--she knew exactly how and when to enter our conversation and could not have done a better job. Even the quirky court musicians in the center of the room were interesting without being overbearing. And finally, after eating what I though was rich food, my sensitive stomach didn't pause a moment-- the mark of truly good food.

Must dine here
Not only is the food better and unique compared to anything else in COS, it is a great place either for a business lunch or dinner, or a date night. Love them.

Extra efforts to take care of us
Can't say enough about the service! One of our group had special needs and the chef came out to make sure all was okay. The owner, Patty, made sure our friend was accommodated, also. I have always loved The Margarita, but after this experience it truly is my favorite restaurant. The food is always excellent, the location beautiful, and the ambience is lovely yet so comfortable. What a treasure!

WONDERFUL food, Live Music
For our tenth anniversary, I was looking for a place that was fairly romantic with live music. When we got there, they had booked up a table both inside and out on the patio, and let us choose our preference. My husband and I got the tomato basil soup, which was wonderful. We also both ordered the steak with mushrooms and mashed potatoes, and had berries and creme for dessert. It was all to die for. You could tell it was homemade, and not pre-processed. We ate on the patio where there was a live bluegrass band. The weather was wonderful, the patio super comfortable, and the ambiance was just so laid back. Trees blocked the view to the neighboring businesses, so there is a sense of privacy and nature. I loved it, and will definitely go back!

We have known this restaurant
We have known this restaurant since late 1970s and while we sometimes forget the place, it never disapoints. Summer on the deck for brunch is great and Saturday's farm market in the background makes for a perfect morning.

A Wonderful Surprise
I made a reservation for brunch on Father's Day based on the good reviews on Open Table, not realizing I'd seen the entrance to this place a zillion times going down I25 - and never even considered going there. Turns out, this was a GREAT choice. We ate outside; patio is lovely, with a view of the mountains. Be aware, they have a German Shepherd who helps seats diners. He's a very sweet dog, doesn't annoy - but if you are afraid of shepherds, plan to eat inside.
Drinks were very good - I had the mimosa, husband had the bellini. I ate the Avocado, Scallion, Tomato & Goat Cheese Frittata and my husband had Eggs Benedict. Both were excellent, and the portions were just right, neither huge nor skimpy. We will definitely go back.

I dined here for Sunday brunch. Our reservation was 10:30. It started to get busy, but still a calm and quiet scene. We sat on the back patio with plenty of shade. The complimentary fruit and coffee cake were delicious! The waiter was great with his timing and very polite. I ordered the Benedict Cubano. The peppers added something different and worked really well with the sauce. My friend ordered a frittata the size of her large plate! My husband ordered the enchiladas w/egg. Although he said too much refried beans, he still cleaned his plate. We loved having the German shepherd seat us. Children were petting the dog and he was very friendly. Overall a great atmosphere, tucked away yet easy to find, good food with some unique brunch items.

The Margarita provides a very unique combination I have yet to find anywhere else. Excellent 5 star cuisine prepared beautifully at a reasonable price for what you receive all in an atmosphere that is casual and relaxed. Pretty much any apparel is acceptable here, from jeans to suits. The staff is friendly and unpretentious, which is unusual in a restaurant that serves exquisite meals. The decor is a bit funky, but that is definitely part of the charm. Weekend dining in the main restaurant is accompanied by baroque music performed by local musicians. The wine list provides a very nice selection and the margaritas are truly excellent. This is my favorite fine dining restaurant!

Nice not stuffy
We had a wonderful experience at Margarita Pine Creek! The food was wonderful and the waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. The dining areas, both inside and out, are beautiful and quiet without feeling stuffy or smug. What a GEM!

Margarita is a Must!
When in Colorado Springs...take the time to search out this gem!

Myself and four other co-workers celebrated our birthdays at Margarita at Pine Creek with lunch. The food was great, and we all enjoyed our time and food. Lots of flavor for the food, and the view of Pikes Peak is nice. The service was a bit slow the day we were there. For lunch that was not so good as we had to get back to work. But we got a lot of food for the price! :)

Best value in Colorado Springs
Margarita At Pine Creek is in my opinion the best value - the quality of food is consistently good. A place we return year after year for superb meals.

Had not been to the Margarita in more than 30 years, yet found it to be still an intriguing place. The menu was contemporary and the food was presented with an eye to current style. Our waitperson was friendly, professional, and attentative. We hope to come back before another thirty years passes!

Good for a special occassion
We went for our wedding anniversary - food was very good, music was pleasing and the service was friendl. Great setting - especially outside.

Great food great service
This restaurant offers a fixed menu of either three items or five items for a fixed price. It also offers wine pairings of either two or three wines depending on the number of courses you order for a fixed price. The concept is a very common European offering. All the courses that we ordered were very well-prepared and tasty and the waiter was very knowledgeable about both the menu and and the wine list. All in all, a beautiful, comfortable setting with great food and great service. jmd

We go there every year
My wife and I love the Margarita at Pine Creek, the food is always excellent, and there are a lot of different places to sit each with their own ambiance. We love the back patio at dusk, it is very romantic. We are trying to make this our place for our wedding anniversaries. This restaurant has great service and the best food in Colorado Springs. The only down side might be the bar gets a little busy, but they compensated us for our drinks, due to an unusual wait time.
8/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
The table was ready when we arrive. The wait staff were prompt but did not huver. The food was exceptional. great anniversay! celebration.
8/31/2013 12:00:00 AM
The food was excellent...cooked to perfection and fit for a gourmand! We had the Salmon...which was so deliciously perfect!
Kudos to the chef!
Unfortunately, I have to say that the waiter, although attentive, did not understand that one of our party was lactose intolerant, although we kept telling him. He kept giving that person the wrong dishes with dairy products! Apparently, he didn't think it
was that important?

Fabulous food & experience
Beautiful outdoor patio with an intimate feel and absolutely delicious food from the fresh baked bread to the succulent fresh fish and locally grown vegetables. Fantastic meal and "experience!"
9/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
The food was very well prepared and we had unusual choices, which is one of the things they are known for. Really enjoyed the choices they prepared that night and loved that they paired with wine with the meal for you.

glad to be back
We moaved from Colorado Springs almost 30 years ago and we glad to see the food and experience was still special. Wonderful baroque music, ever changing menu that is out of the ordinary, out of the way location. Special evening with a special lady.
9/28/2013 12:00:00 AM
As always, the Margarita was fantastic. The food and service were great. One is never hurried when there. The friend who joined me and I could have spent the entire afternoon visiting, and no one would have cared. it's just a wonderful place.
10/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
Wonderful brunch in a lovely setting. The delicious coffee cake and fruit to start was a nice surprise. My husband who has eaten at some of the top restaurants all over the southwest said the "Huevos Rancheros" was the best he had ever eaten! Kept trying to figure out how they prepared the eggs so light and perfect! So that is a huge compliment! We went back and told all our friends how good it was and will definitely return on our next trip to Colorado Springs!
10/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
Been before, sure to return!
Really enjoy dining here. The food is always very good with seasonal changes and several choices in each category. The menu is set-you can have a 3 or 5 course dining experience. Wines can also be paired with the food. We always have the 3 course and share so we can taste most options. The have wonderful vegetarian options too!

Glad my wife found it
Wish I had known about it earlier. The food was fantastic, and the paired wines went well with the courses. They have live music about half the week, which makes the place more enjoyable for me.

Great Thanksgiving Dinner
Food very good, well-prepared, depth of flavors. Service was right on. Nice ambiance (except that grounds could use a bit of TLC though the restaurant itself is interesting and tables private).
