Beer and Food were great.
The food was fantastic, and we were given a tour of the brewery with the Brewer. Great time, we will be back! Beers are quality.

I am a regular at 508, and dinner was as delicious as always. We had the fresh bufala ricotta and honey, the roasted duck empanadas and the shawarma pizza to start. All of the small plates are so good, that we find it hard to pick just a few! For entrees we had the multi-grain macrobiotic salad with salmon and the wild boar lasagna. We didn't have room for dessert, but the churros are always a good option. The bartender McClain made us fabulous cocktails and the service was excellent. The vibe was lively and fun, perfect for a Saturday night!

A Perfect Downtown NYC Restaurant
One of our fave spots in all of downtown, a cool vibe, welcoming staff...in many ways a perfect NYC restaurant. 4 of us had a great evening. Huge fans of the beers that they brew here. Shared several small dishes: sliders, tasty & perfectly spicy...pork tacos, delicious, and a very cheesy flatbread with a great crust. Main dishes: we tried pasta with lamb...al dente. Never had an overcooked pasta here. Shortrib burger really delicious & juicy. Our friends had the roasted chicken and tuna entrees which they were very happy with. Always recommended.

508 is always great
we love 508. the menu changes frequently and is always chock full of dishes you crave. it's hard to decide what to choose many cases. the wine list and house brewed beers are exceptional. one of my favorite places to go in new york by far.

Small Plates A Joy
Love the mood of the restaurant. Smartly lit, candles adorn the space. The saddest part for me about this place is the giant tv going non-stop above the bar. To make matters worse, the mirrors multiply it throughout the space so that you just can't help but have your eyes land on it. Completely distracting from your party. What makes it the more frustrating is that no one is watching it!
In lieu of entrees, my party shared a bunch of appetizers. All excellent: Tuna tartar, fish tacos, mezze platter, oysters. The brussel sprouts were bland and underdone, however. Great signature beers and cocktails.

There's a lot of variety and a lot of shareability with the plates -- I think of it as modern American "tapas". The food is very good to great, and though the options cover the gamut, it never feels like they're reaching to unnecessarily expand the menu.
We've been here a few occasions, the last time with a group of 8 and they are always accommodating. Service is exceptional.
They brew their own beers ( and they're very good ) so that's a bonus for the beer connoisseurs in the group.
I only wish that this place was actually closer to home and not so nestled on the West side. I feel I might be a regular here.

Food was great especially the truffle pizza and parpadell and lobster pasta but slightly over priced. Lovely experience all the way around.

Was very impressed with the menu and the quality of the food. The Pat LaFrieda short rib meat burger was incredible. My friend had the beer crafted on premise and was very impressed. Excellent gastro pub food and the service was great. Highly recommend.

Tasty alternative to TriBeCa
Went for the first time. Lots of tasty looking items on the menu. We had the rock shrimp tacos, duck empanadas, a pasta dish an the macrobiotic salad. Something for everyone and food was solid. Beer is delicious. We will return soon.

We had a celebratory lunch and ate across the menu - seafood items and then salads with protein. It was worrh the walk across the tunnel traffic

Feels like a high end pop-up restaurant. Shorter menu but a little bit of everything. We had tune tartar, crabcake, cheese and meat plate and oysters! Delicious oysters. $1 each if you seat at the bar! Can't beat that. For dessert we had a lemon merengue and it was nothing shirt of divine. Staff was very attentif and cordial, all in all we had a wonderful evening and left very happy.

Comfortable and Delicious
The space was very chic, but comfortable and the food was delicious. My friends enjoyed the beers.

Nice experience overall
We went for an early pre-theater dinner. Bruschetta appetizer and beet salad were very good. We each had homemade pastas that were excellent and nicely sized, not overdone. The warm brownie dessert was just so-so, but the cappuccino was delicious. Would probably have dessert elsewhere but otherwise food ingredients were well-chosen and matched together nicely. They feature their own house-brewed beer which is a unique touch -- the wines by the glass were fine but limited, clearly a focus on their beers. Our server was knowledgeable and since it was early the restaurant was fairly quiet.

First time wont be our last
We had a great birthday dinner with 6 friends at 508. The vibe was cool, fun and the food was absolutely fantastic. My husband got their beer sampler and loved all the homebrews as well. Waitstaff is attractive and attentive. We made a reservation for this weekend to go back because there are so many items on the menu that you just have to try.

Great place. I recommend it. Oyster happy hour is nice. Great cocktails.

Everything that was brought to our table was fantastic (including the fried oyster appetizer, beef sliders, and especially the scallop ceviche which was one of the best ceviches I've ever had). My favorite dish was the Roasted Duck with pine nuts, spinach, brussel sprouts, pancetta and olive oil tossed in spinach and egg fettuccini (as quoted from the menu...tasted as good as it sounds!). Our waitress (Monika I think?) was great and gave us good recommendations. I also had a really good strawberry/honey beer that is brewed there. We were sitting at the hightop table in the back near the kitchen. The curtain to the kitchen was kept open and it was good to see that they had a very nice clean kitchen with nothing to hide.

Interesting menu, great food
There were a lot of great dinner options and everything we ordered was great! Good cocktails too.

Great menu, Fantastic meal!
We were hoping the food would live up to how great it sounded on the menu and it did. Cute little place, good size bar and tables not too close together. They also have a big high table towards the back for a larger party. Service was a little slow to start but that may have been because the waitstaff figured we were waiting for our third to join us which we were. Cocktails were good but they are best known for their beers which were very interesting! OK, the food... we had the lobster sliders, the Double Diablo w/ the fried oyster, the edamame pesto crostini to start and all were excellent, especially the first two. For dinner, we shared the roasted duck tagliatelle, the bulgogi sliders and duck tacos. All awesome! Highly recommend!

Loved the feeling of this place
This place is far west, but worth the trip, my wife and I enjoyed everything. Do not miss the beer or the ricotta bread.

Great neighborhood find!
We just ordered appetizers and really enjoyed all of them. The octopus and the sliders were excellent. I didn't try the tongue, but my friends said it was delicious. They definitely had a very unique menu. We will definitely go back to try the entrees. Also, our waiter was very attentive which alway helps.

Overall, a memorable night out with good food, service and atmosphere. Slider and tartar starters were fantastic. We had a large group with diverse tastes and all were very satisfied. Jazz band and open air to street side were perfect touches.

Nothing pretentious here, but interesting brewery menu, with a little something for everyone on the food side too. Service was great for our small group - will definitely return. Sits in lower west corner of SoHo just above Canal so easy walk from TriBeCa.

Visited on the Friday of the Thanksgiving. We had reservations and they called to confirm them so I was a bit concerned when we arrived at 7:30 and were the only ones there - just a quiet night or were we missing something when we read the reviews? We tried a variety of items - duck nachos were excellent as were the brisket sliders. Others enjoyed the branzino and ribs. We would go back.
