I went here on a first date, and after searching relentlessly on Yelp I came across this place, which had a lot of really high reviews. Naturally, we decided to check it out. The date went as well as it could have, the service was slow, but the restaurant was very full so it was expected. The food was excellent however, and I give props to the cooks for such a wonderful meal. As much as I enjoyed this restaurant, it's much too casual for a romantic date, as it gets pretty loud sometimes and I had trouble communicating with my date as such. I would still recommend this place to friends and family, but would forewarn them about the pricey nature, but would also be more than happy to tell them about the quality of the food being well worth it.

Be sure to check out the new addition (room). Always enjoy dinner at Tigelleria. Great service . . .

Exceeded expectations in every way!
I already knew this place had great ratings, but WOW. Best Italian food I have had in the Bay Area. And service is impeccable. Found my new favorite spot in Campbell...

Fantastic food, especially
Fantastic food, especially the mint pea soup and seafood pasta. Skip the dessert menu and grab a cupcake from nearby Frost.

From beginning to end we had a 5 star dinner for my husband's birthday. They had a menu with his name and Happy Birthday in Italian printed on the top. Ryan, our waiter was frlendly, informative about the food & wine.
We went early, 5:30 on a Thurs, we had the restaurant to ourselves for the most part, 2 other tables filled as we left over an hour later.
Had the Burrata and Panzerotti-appetizers, Spinach salad, Chateaubriand/ potatoes, the beef cooked perfectly. We shared all the plates & finished with delicious warm chocolate molten cake w/ vanilla gelato. We had a fantastic Organic Red wine which went well with all the food.
We do not treat ourselves to a meal like this very often, but this restaurant is always a wonderful experience!

Interesting menu. Nectarine
Interesting menu. Nectarine tomato salad was fresh and sweet; fresh off the vine. Pork was tender and the applesauce gravy was light and flavorful. Service with a smile; other patrons engaged in conversation and enjoying themselves, as well.

The second my wife noticed the menu had her name on it, it was perfect.
8/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great neighborhood Italian restaurant. The 2 of us split a salad, entree, and dessert. There was plenty for both of us. The waitress
was very attentive & polite. The wine list contained some great, hard-to-find Italian labels. As usual, we spent more for the wine than the food and left well satisfied. Looking forward to our next visit and another fantastic Italian red from the south.
8/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
The burrata was great, but it was served with un ripe and tasteless tomatoes (no excuse during prime tomato season). The main courses were over sauced. Espresso from stove top Bialetti missed the mark. The arancini are actually arancioni. Capunatina used red peppers, which unfortunately dominated the remainder of the flavors, as peppers are prone to do. The lady chef is charming, although a bit of a testa dura. Nice wall paintings. Wine list a bit limited.

We had cocktails, an appetizer, kale salad, salmon, lamb chops, wine, chocolate mousse, and pane cotta . All of it very good.

This is one of my favorite spots in the south Bay Area. The service is relaxed and friendly, dinners are leisurely and at a European pace, if that is what you enjoy. You could probably rush through and they would keep up with you, but I love lingering over a meal and enjoying the company I am with. The staff at Tigelleria will never rush you. The food is great and unique, and the Dreamsicle dessert drink is delicious!

I treated my husband to the restaurant as part of his birthday celebration. I left a note when I made the reservations re: his birthday.
We had never eaten there before.
Much to our surprise our menus were titled "Happy Birthday Frank" in Italian. I've never had any other restaurant do this - ever!!!
It was a a wonderful evening!

Looking for an UPSCALE ORGANIC place to dine, which is TRULY TRADITIONAL ITALIAN? Go to Tigelleria!
Food: FABULOUS The Polenta dish was o perfect I'm still salivating four days later! Large selection of everything. Cheese! I'm Italian, and there were at least 5 (out of 20 or so) cheeses I'd never even heard of!!
Wine: My waiter knew his wines! I told him what I wanted to taste, and his first suggestion was a bulls-eye!
Service: Waitstaff were attentive but not overly so. Italian accents added to the traditional feel.
Ambiance: Casual nice Mediterranean décor.
Downside? It got crowded, noisy, and a bit hot after reaching max capacity but hey, lots of happy people tend to make it that way.
Quiet? No. Everything else? FAB!

Great service, great food,
Great service, great food, really expensive. Who knew you could make a carpaccio from octopus? And have it be amazing?

Reminded me of Italy, kind of.
In accordance with authentic Italian titles, the dishes evoked memories of my previous Summer's journey to the Isola de Ponza. Beyond that, the meal I had was both satisfying and creative. The home made pasta was excellent. The sauce equally so, as well. The only aspect of the meal I didn't enjoy was the beer. Obviously, I shouldn't go to an Italian restaurant in search of beer. Still, the two beers they served were, huh, awful. Cringe-worthy, actually. In any case, the meal itself was very good. The service, too, was good. In all, it was a great experience.

I just moved to this neighboorhood and found my new favorit Italian restaurant!!!! I have lived for about 3 months and since become a regular. Their food is excellent. Fresh made pasta and the sauce is delicious. And they will mix and match for you. I highly recomend this place!!!!!!

Great find! Took us 5 years to find
I would highly recommend this restaurant. It is a special gem that is heads and shoulders above the normal fare in downtown Campbell. Excellent personal service, I was called and asked for the name of my husband as it was his birthday. They printed his name and birthday greeting on the menu. Great personal touch. Excellent service. Did not know about this place at all, since it is at the far end of Campbell, closer to the Winchester side. Worth the walk over! You will not regret it.

Amazing Tuscan fusion w/Organic
Always a rewarding treat that never fails to excite the taste buds.
9/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
Excellent as usual
I just returned from a two-year stay in France and am very happy to find Tigelleria still in excellent shape.
I dine there frequently (my son was almost born there...) and I love how the quality is not only high, but consistent.
If you like something, you know you'll like it next time, because it'll taste the same.
The menu is well structured, with plenty of non-trivial options (there are only so many pasta carbonara you can eat...) and it changes over the year(s) so that it does not get boring.
I go to Tigelleria either for a date night with my wife or when taking customers out to dinner, the place is perfect for both occasions.

Outstanding Little Italy Restaurant
We felt we were in Italy (more specifically Piedmont italy) from the stylish ambiance (Italian movie playing above the bar) to the apertiff, antipasti, insalate, primi and secundi dishes, love, love this place. Despite the critics, please stay with the french style of small portions because the food is so flavorful. We chose a Fall theme and ordered carpaccio di filetto, cavolo Nero, capallacci di zucca and the filletto di maiale. Gratzie Miele to the owners and chefs, you've made our dining experience a memorable one.
9/20/2013 12:00:00 AM
We have had dinner here a few times and haves loved it. Food is very authentic Italian - pasta cooked perfectly.
I would recommend trying it. Right now it is very loud but they are working on the acoustics. Manager and host are very friendly and check on each table.

Delightful, authentic Italian
My husband and I are picky about foo and service. In addition, my husband is picky about Italian food as a New York Italian American transplant and excellent cook himself. This was our 2nd visit. The food was just as good as the first time. We recommend reservations or come early for a better experience: the space is small and it can get crowded quickly. Be prepared to try food you may not find at "traditional" Italian restaurants. My pasta was a rustic dish with a more chewy texture than usual. It was delicious, but chewier than may be in more common pastas. My husband's timbale was a delicious alternative to lasagna. We will definitely be back to try more dishes on the menu, such as the charcuterie platters.
9/22/2013 12:00:00 AM
great little spot
I took my husband here for his birthday. It was delicious and lovely. Great setting; terrific dishes. We ordered the grilled veggies charcuterie in place of salad - it was excellent. My husband had the fillet and the sauce was fabulous. dessert was the berry shortcake - yum. Highly recommend.

One of our favorite restaurants
We have been to Tigelleria many times - it is one of our favorite restaurants in the Bay Area. The menu is good and changes frequently. The staff all treat theirs customers as family. The drinks and desserts are wonderful. All and all a neighborhood gem that never disappoints!

A good find for us
Was looking for a place to meet for dinner, and did not know the area at all. Picked this off of Open Table based on location, reviews, and type of food. Honestly, we were more focused on ourselves as we hadn't seen each other in over 2 years. The waiter was excellent. He "got it" that the restaurant was a place for hosting our get together, and not the primary reason we were there. Wine selection was good, and the food was very good too. Not inexpensive, but thought the value was good overall.

Fun Little Birthday Party
Three friends with birthdays within weeks of one another had a wonderful little birthday celebration. The server was very helpful in helping enjoy a meandering evening. We started with a delightful Italian wine. Then she recommended a Charcuterie tray. WOW It was a cutting board the size of California with all kinds of wonderful things on it. After that we wanted a little something entree but non of us want a whole one. So the server helped us find some nice dishes to split. What fun. Family style. The Lamb chops were to die for. And they prepared them for us to split. Excellent attention to the customer. Excellent food. Such a nice evening.

Wonderful Food & Service
My first time here
Black kale salad which was tossed in lemon juice, honey & olive oil with mango, pine nuts & homemade goat & walnut cheese...excellent! ligh & refreshing. For dinner I had the organic chicken breast, seasoned with salt and fresh black pepper covered by buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes, black olives and capers. served over sautéed organic spinach was so flavorful ..Excellent dish!
My friend let me taste her dinner and was so tender & the flavors were intense! Sh eordered the all natural “chateaubriand” steak. seasoned with salt and fresh black pepper and grilled to your temperature
of choice. served cut in strips over baked potatoes with garlic butter, olive tapenade and balsamic reduction
10/3/2013 12:00:00 AM
A favorite spot
Arancini: very rich and filled with goodies.
Chocolate / Banana dessert: Heaven. Never thought I'd find a dessert with too much chocolate, but this came close. Great chocolate, very dark. Must have the dessert wine with it -- great combo.
The 'chateau briand' over potatoes: The little dishes of garlic-butter, balsamic reduction, and tapenade were fun and tasty. But the meat was just OK. Everything we've had there before has been excellent, and this meat was just ok.
We'll be back.
10/4/2013 5:00:00 PM
Great food, service, and ambiance
The Chateaubriand was very good, and the servers were very nice too. Nice touch adding my birthday girl's name to the menu. Will definitely go back.

Great Food with a Difference
Tigelleria is a special dining experience for its unique dishes and great service. We five all experimented with new dishes with total satisfaction. It's the place you have to revisit to try everything on the menu. Next time, I must try their pasta choices. The organic and sustainable items presented another appeal.
10/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
Expensive, but Worth it
A full dinner for two with drinks and an appetizer ran $133 with tip. Elegant food, flawlessly prepared and presented. I love their charcuterie and cheese plates, but at around $30 each, they're a little too expensive for casual dining. Still, we had a great dinner here.
10/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
Haven't been back since their lovely remodel and expansion. Liked this modern, organic Italian restaurant since its opening and now like it more. Salt encrusted branzino whole fish is special and great presentation. Wait staff so attentive and graceful. Especially liked how my gluten free requests were seriously considered and that there was a nice substitute for bread in order to try the yummy pre dinner spreads.

Great tasting food
This restaurant came recommended, and it lived up to expectations. It is at the edge of downtown Campbell and appears to be quite popular. When we came in it had this very vibrant, slightly noisy, atmosphere of a full room. They also have a second room in the back, that is a bit more relaxed and quiet. The menu was original with many dishes that you typically can't get. We got the raw octopus, and it was exquisite. The entrees and desert were also good. They were tasty and well prepared and clearly the ingredients chosen were fresh.
10/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
Went here for birthday dinner and the food was simply amazing. The burata appetizer was to die for and the rest of the entrees we tried just as good. We had the seabass, swordfish, steak and the boar dish. All were loved!! Will definitely come back!

Always a Great Experience
Always enjoy great food and service at Tigelleria. When I travel in from Phoenix, I always make it a point to dine here.
10/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
This place is great for people
This place is great for people who get off work late ( like 8 or 9pm ) but want to enjoy a nice dinner. Food and service are both excellent. I already made my next reservation in Thanksgiving weekend. Need I say more?
10/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
I've added comments when reserving tables on OpenTable before, but Tigelleria was the first restaurant that really went above and beyond. I wrote that we were celebrating our anniversary and we would like a table against the wall. The manager called to get our names and they printed "Happy Anniversary" in Italian, with our names, on the menu, and we had the perfect table for 2 on the side, and not in the middle of the restaurant. Perfect. Food was amazing as well.

Birthday dinner celebration
The cheese cutting board was fantastic. Our server was knowledgeable and very engaging. Our only complaint is that the dinner portions were more like a French rather than Italian portion (beautiful, but skimpy) and the filet was a little too rare for medium. The gnocchi was wonderful and pumpkin stuffed pasta was incredible!
10/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
I frequent Tigelleria often, for both business and personal. It is consistently perfect in preparation, taste, service, everything. The staff are attentive and have always made helpful and spot on recommendations, from wine to dessert. Tigelleria also makes regular changes to their menu to reflect local availability and seasonal flavors.

Great little spot
My husband and I recently decided to try a new restaurant every other week...this was first on the list. Overall a great experience. I had the salmon special and it was really yummy. My husband had the pesto and felt it was a little too creamy BUT he did like it. I tried it and thought it was fantastic. Would recommend for a romantic dinner or a fun double-date.
11/1/2013 5:00:00 PM
all around great
This place is a gem! Totally cozy and unique. We went there for our Anniversary dinner and they made a special menu with our names on it. The food and service were incredible. We are coming back next chance we get!
11/7/2013 4:00:00 PM
We have been to this restaurant two times now. We enjoyed every dish and found it to have excellent service. Our waitress was an absolute delight both times. They are very knowledgeable about the menu, ingredients and preparation style, as well as the wine list and made good recommendations. All of the ingredients were fresh and dishes well prepared. The gnocchi is home made and wonderful with the crab and shrimp sauce. It is a little on the higher priced side, but not really bad. 4 people, appetizer, salads, main dishes, desserts, homemade lemoncello and a bottle of wine was around $300 w/o tip. We will be going back again and taking friends, again, to enjoy the experience.
11/8/2013 4:00:00 PM
The menu continues to be the type of Italian food that is available in Italy. The selection is unlike even most SF italian restaurants . It is classic Northern Italian.
11/15/2013 4:00:00 PM
Excellent all around!
This was our second visit to Tigelleria and it was just as amazing as the first. The food, service, atmosphere are all amazing. This is my new favorite restaurant in the South Bay!
11/21/2013 4:00:00 PM
A unique experience
We are into organic living. This is a delightful choice to experience gourmet food that is made with organic ingredients. We took our pregnant daughter there for her birthday. She was thrilled to have so many organic choices!

Grat Dining Experience
Wonderful food and service. Many of the wines are Italian and we were not familiar with them. Thee server made recommendations and poured tastes of two wines. The place is very small and completely packed but they managed to handle it with no problems and turned out great food beautifully presented.
12/5/2013 4:00:00 PM
It was a great place for dinner! The food and service was excellent.
12/10/2013 4:00:00 PM
After strolling around downtown Campbell one evening with my 10 yr old daughter we stopped by Tigelleria with our stomachs set on getting a bowl of yummy pasta. Waitress was very good working directly with my daughter to find the fettuccine with pesto she was looking for and the gnocchi with crab was calling my name. My daughter loved the little home made bread rounds with the various sauces that came first - we shared an arugula salad with black truffle oil and shaved Parmesan . which was excellent - and when the house made pasta bowls hit the table they were outstanding. What a great little evening we had at Tegelleria
12/12/2013 4:00:00 PM
I'll be back.
Friendly greeting, extensive menu, a most pleasant dining experience. Great presentation, wonderful tasting food and the best service. We have been fortunate to have Jessica as our server a few times now. She is THE person to ask for any questions on the wine list or menu. She has an amazing memory and will remember what you ordered when last dining there. A few days ago, I took a chance on the Butternut Squash soup knowing it might be a little too sweet for my taste. Wrong, wrong! The first sip had a hint of sweetness but from there on it was so good and BTW, served steaming hot. I order my pasta el dente and the Bocatini was perfect. I make the Amatriciana at home but can't measure up to the quality of the pancetta and sauce.
