The wine list is varied and very good. I had the mussels with french fries. Mussels were delicious. One or two were a little big for more liking and probably needed a little more cooking time, but the meal was excellent. Waiter could have been more attentive. Atmosphere is very nice and cozy.

I loved Mirabelle Tavern.
I loved Mirabelle Tavern. The food was fantastic. It was a little noisy and slow for my taste, but I went at the busiest dinner time on saturday, so a little bit my fault. My fiance and I plan to return every season to try the new menu as it changes. I am excited to go back.

Normally we go to dinner at Mirabelle not at the Tavern, but we were attending a performance at Stony Brook and decided we probably didn't have enough time to dine at Mirabelle and so opted for the Tavern. To our mild surprise the food was very very good.

Fun was had by all.
Dined w 5 friends on a Saturday night. We started w drinks we took outside and enjoyed at a table near the entrance. Beautiful evening--perfect way to start an evening w friends. We tried a bunch of starters--steak tartar, Scottish egg, chick peas fries and standard fries --- all were great--for some of us it was a culinary adventure having never tried some of these food but and as a result discovered new likes. Dinner was mostly sea scallops --terrific, one prime rib and one lamb chop trio--great as well.
We had a great time and will be back.

the yummiest breakfast eats in SB
The waitress did everything, tables, orders, running...We found that strange but she was very efficient and we joked that she may have disappeared into the kitchen to cook the food too. In any case I highly recommend Mirabelle. Go for a nice romantic brunch, we did!

Always a nice experience
My wife and I love Mirabelle's Tavern for their Tavern Burger and Organic Mixed Greens Salad with the optional Goat Cheese. The restaurant was attractive as usual, the waiter was punctual and appropriate, and there weren't many tables to service. My wife ordered the Crab Cake which was delicious, I had an old favorite; the Fish and Chips, which were slightly under fried and soggy. Speed of service was okay, we waited a while between our first course and second course. I believe the waiter forgot to enter our second course, that would explain the underdone Fish and Chips. Otherwise, great experience as usual.

We took our 2 year old with us to celebrate a birthday. The young staff at the Three Village Inn were wonderfully accommodating, friendly and responsive. I thought the brunch buffet was delicious! We got there early and were very pleased by the choices. As we were departing the carving station opened, i was a bit disappointed I missed those, but we will return and book our reservation for a little later.

Best for Seafood Brunch
Although Mirabelle Tavern's brunch lacks the variety of other brunches, the seafood dishes are THE freshest around! Outstanding lox, with excellent poached salmon, shrimp cocktail and crab legs. The Eggs Benedict are adequate, but the French Toast is substandard. The dessert variety is poor, particularly if one does not care for chocolate.

Whenever I'm in Long Island I have to dine here. Had the steak frites, Caesar salad and creme brûlée. Amazing!

We have been coming to the Three Village Inn/Mirabel Restaurant since our first grandson was five years old. He celebrated his 10th birthday last May. This past Sunday (15th) his brother celebrated his 7th birthday again, we had Brunch at the Mirabel. They absolutely adore it . I don't know if it's the Chocolate Volcano and its attendant strawberries, marshmallows and pretzels or the smoked and poached salmon, and custom made omelettes. Probably it's the kindness and friendliness of all staff who were genuinely happy to see us. The facility itself is cosy, historic and very much like Nanna and Grumps house (in Upstate NY) so we all feel very much at home. Thanks again to all staff for making this another birthday to keep in our hearts.

Early dinner at MT
My wife and I were trying to decide on an impromptu early dinner spot. She had remembered that a friend had once gone to Mirabelle Tavern and gave it praise. We love the MT and look forward to going back. The wait staff was very amiable and proficient, my Manhattan was top notch! We had a salad and crab cake to start, also top notch. I had the lamb chops and my wife had the tavern burger which were outrageously good. Topped it off with sharing the cheesecake and an excellent double espresso.
Also, a huge plus is the casual atmosphere...I love wearing sneakers to dinner! We're telling everyone we know who appreciates great food that MT is a great place!

We arrived a little early for dinner and were led to the bar by a very pleasant hostess. Our bartender, Mike, was very knowledgeable and introduced us to a (new for us) wine. He and my husband exchanged their views on the finer points of Scotch before we were led to our table. We were asked if it was O.K. to fill the water glasses contrary to most waitstaff who just reach across and fill them. Our waiter, Adam, was very pleasant and efficient. He came around our table several times to check on us and was not at all intrusive. We shared the chickpea fries, which were delicious. We enjoyed the cod and steak frites followed by a lovely creme brûlée and warm bread pudding before returning to the bar for a nightcap. Wonderful evening!

A Walk Down Memory Lane
Fifty years ago this charming restaurant/inn overlooking the waterfront was my favorite dining destination, and today, it's as lovely as ever. The lively Sunday brunch in the large tavern area was a departure from the quiet atmosphere I remembered, but the ambiance, with all the romantic nooks and fireplaces, is just as warm and evocative. Service was cheerful and prompt, and the dishes of the reasonably-priced buffet brunch were varied, tasty, and well-prepared, and were accompanied by unlimited champagne or mimosas. I learned some of the wonderful side dishes that used to accompany every meal have been eliminated from the menu, though; the lime sorbet palate refreshers, the popovers, and the hot fruit compote now sadly belong to history.

We went for an early dinner (5:45) with a two-year old and 8 month old twins. The staff was more than accommodating for our large family. They have a good kids menu - the fruit plate is fresh and plentiful. The food for adults is always good.

we had Friday, 7 pm. reserv. Bar in tavern open to the restaurant but the vibe is good it just becomes part of the ambience. Had the very reasonably priced prix fix menu. So many amazing options it took a while to choose. Ended up ordering a few appetizers for the table of 7 to taste. The mixed green salad with the goat cheese crouton is super generous for a starter course. The blackened swordfish was unique--a blackened spice marinade instead of the traditional dry spice pan seared, so it was more elegant and lighter (and less salty) than typical blackened. My son (11) had the duck and it too was delicious and daughter had fish & chips (yum!). We never felt rushed through dinner at all. Pace was perfect for enjoying a night out with family

It was a lovely brunch with lots of different choices. It just got very crowded and the wait staff appeared overwhelmed. We found we had to chase them down to refill our champagne & mimosa's. My husband got coffee that was cold...twice. There was both a large party there for a 50th birthday as well as a wedding so once they came in, the room where the buffet was became very crowded and lots of the selections were gone. All in all the food was wonderful, I think we just hit them on a day when they were very busy.... We would go again as the food was very good.

Went to Mirabelle Tavern to celebrate our son's birthday. Excellent meal and service. Both my wife and I had the tuna carpaccio and the Kobe sliders. Both were wonderful and reasonable priced. An looking forward to our next visit.
