Great but cooks were overwhelmed
I've been here multiple times. Food is normally wonderful, but on my last visit (when they were very busy) both mine and my dates entrees fell short of the mark. I had the calamari pasta and the pasta was far too undercooked which made it difficult to chew / enjoy. My date had the gnocchi and it had a rough odd texture ( under cooked and rushed ) most likely. Everything else was superb. Drinks, appetizers, and dessert was excellent and delicious.

I really think this is an
I really think this is an underrated brunch spot in the neighborhood. I have twice tried to go to brunch at some of the "hot spots" in Wicker, but ended up coming here because the lines were too long elsewhere. There is rarely a wait longer than 20 minutes, and the food is creative and delicious. I love the Baked Egg Florentina and the Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes. My family had a very enjoyable Easter brunch here, and everyone loved the food.

This is one of our neighborhood
This is one of our neighborhood staples and come here probably twice a month. The menu, while not huge, is ever-changing and there are always one or two daily offerings not on the menu. The variety of the seasonal menu as well as the rustic but refined ambiance are what keep us coming back.
Due to the location, the dining area is somewhat limited so you can expect a wait if you pop-in, especially for dinner. We usually call ahead for a table and have never had to wait more than a few minutes past our reservation time. That said, as we left on Saturday night, I saw them setting up for a party of 10-12. There is a bar area but it is small, is completely open to the dining room and fills up fast, especially on Friday and Saturday nigh

A new menu at an old favorite.
A new menu at an old favorite. We were surprised when Forno was no longer a small plates theme, but the quality is still there.

My first time coming to Forno
My first time coming to Forno for Brunch and I was beyond impressed! Very unique, and different menu items that were bursting with flavor! I can't wait to come again, because there are more things on the menu I must try!

Great overall experience
I come to Francesas at least once a month. I have never been disappointed with the service/food/dining experience, and I will continue to come back because of this. Keep up the good work.

This was a very pleasant dining
This was a very pleasant dining experience: open air, friendly and helpful service, and delicious food. Although I didn't try it, they do offer gluten free pasta. Would highly recommend Forno for an enjoyable meal.

Shifty service, but amazing food
It was very good, when it came to the food selection. Some of the members of my group were hoping for some items off the lunch menu, which didn't start until 3pm. The waiter acted a little hipster and aloof. But, overall the food was fantastic.

Great Food and Fun
The food was by no surprise - fantastic. Loved the donut shop that opened at 9:00 in the back of the establishment.

Had a great time other than losing our voices from having to scream to be heard over the speaker blaring music over us

Great food, OK Service
When I asked what the other grapes were in the syrah blend, I should have known this was fit for a treat. The server was oblivious to us when we needed more to drink, bread especially, and whenever I needed something I had to get her attention. The swordfish was a little undercooked, but when they got it right it was awesome! great burrata as well. Tiramisu was good as well. I'd return, with hopefully a different server

This is the youngest, hippest
This is the youngest, hippest member of the Francesca family. Great casual spot that serves up tasty foodstuffs that even a foodie would enjoy. That staff was friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. Would not hesitate to dine here again!

Solid Italian Dining
Francesca Forno's changes their menu regularly. Some of the items that get changed out are outstanding and some are merely ok. So, the experience can change each time you go. This is some of the fun but also the drawback. We often make reservations because otherwise the wait can be substantial. The music choices can be strange and erratic. One time we went and they were playing classic rock and another time 80's pop. The service aims to please and is generally good but seems inexperienced. We like this place because it's reliably good, decently priced, and just a few blocks away from our house (walkable). It's lively and there is great people watching. They open up the windows in the summer and it's like you are sitting outdoors.

Perfect for Girl's Night
The food and drinks were very good. We ordered two appetizers (the mussels were delicious), old fashions (good strong drinks), and a meal each. The risotto and pork ragu pasta were very good (and really rich). The salmon was slightly dry. The weather was nice so the front large window was open and made the space feel bigger. The place was really loud, so if that bothers you, avoid this place but the ambience was lively and fun. I would go again.

Nice little find in my neighborhood
Having grown up on Italian food (coastal and northern) I am was delighted to find a place like this so close to home. Wonderfully rustic and cozy ambiance quite unexpected from the outside. The food itself was well prepared and delicious. However the music pumping out from the kitchen was a bit on the loud side making conversation challenging at times. It is also a bit on the expensive side leaning towards $50/person with a starter, main course, desert and a couple drinks so I would frequent it more for special occasions than as a regular spot. That said we are delighted to have it as an option in our neighborhood and will return in the future.

First but not last
We had never been to Francesca's Forno - and i have no idea why! We were going to a wine/chocolate event nearby and needed a place to eat - well, am I ever glad that I stumbled on FF! The whole evening - from the wait staff through all the food was splendid!
Our unique cocktails started the evening perfectly... and the special bruscetta was indeed Special! Our entrees were the perfect size and the price was amazing. Great value and great location!
