Great food and that old time
Great food and that old time Vegas feel that is lacking in most places today.

Perfect place for a superb,
Perfect place for a superb, intimate, romantic dinner, free from the noise and chaos of the strip. The ambience and food are unbeatable. A treasure, especially for locals.

It doesn't look like much
It doesn't look like much from the outside but It has great ambience inside. It's close to the monorail and the stratosphere so don't let the location turn you away. The food is superb and is reasonably priced. The escargot was amazing as was the chocolate soufflé and grand manier soufflé.

Great food with old Vegas history!
I have lived here for 25 yrs my husband over 50yrs,the Pamplemousse is one of the few restaurants that served the old celebities and now new. My daughter has always wanted to eat there so Easter with the family was prefect. All of us ordered something different to share every dish was amazing in display and taste. The grandchildren are teenagers they loved the whole experience. Our waiter "Keeper" he was the best not only served us at our speed but entertained us with the history and sing for us.

A must in Las Vegas
I love the relaxed feel of this place - dark, small and cozy – like a comfortable living room. I definitely would return to try more dishes. We had the Five Coarse meal they offer and we both chose different items to taste test. They are known for the fresh basket of vegetables and breads, so it is a must! Our favorite appetizer was the Bouchee de Fruit de Mer! This is a seafood Souffle. The waiter was simply awesome! He was able to answer all our questions and his recommendations were a perfect blend of food and wine! It is not easy to become an icon in a town like Las Vegas, but Pamplemousse Le Restaurant is one for sure! You will want to make reservations, as space is limited and is very popular!

The food was EXCELLENT. The service was disappointing. Our waiter did not tell us about any specials, soup of the day, fish of the day, etc until we asked him when he came to take our order. The waiter seemed pre-occupied with a larger party that was there that evening.
Because the food really is delicious, I would recommend Pamplemousse and would definitely give them another opportunity at service.

Took my wife here for a romantic birthday dinner - this place did not dissapoint! I can't believe I lived in Las Vegas for 15 years and hadn't heard about this place!! Will definitely be back.

dinner for six
Being once a year visitor from Hawaii to Vegas, this was the second time in two years I went to this french restaurant for dinner. The restaurant is perfect for business get together because it is fairly quiet and we could talk to each other. Food and the service were exceptional. The duck special and steaks were all prepared perfectly. The complimentary veggie platter was fresh with assorted flavors. I recommend escargot. We will go back to this restaurant next time we visit Vegas. MAHALO

Old school hidden gem
From the escargot to the rack of lamb to the souffle... everything was wonderful. Quiet, intimate, relaxed, and elegant without being pretentious.

This place has amazing food and service. I would reccomend to anyone that wants to enjoy a wonderful meal with a loved one or date.

Family time - celebrate with dinner
Had a great time; Kiefer did a great job entertaining us, explaining history of the restaurant, describing available menus. Was a little disappointed with the escargots, used to garlic and butter, not cream sauce. But overall, it was good. Thank you

Best is Vegas
We have been going to Pamplemousse for probably 20 years and always wish our trip was longer so that we could have another great meal, We do visit on every trip, but that is only once a year, yet they remember us and treat us as if we were there every month or more. The food is terrific and always made to our specification and always take into account our food allergies.
5/14/2013 4:00:00 PM
Consistently good. Love the rack of lamb. Special halibut was great. Low key...........not like strip restaurants.
5/20/2013 4:00:00 PM
Overall, we liked having dinner
Overall, we liked having dinner at Pamplemousse very much. Food was well prepared, and the servings nicely timed, though the wild rice must have come from an instant rice box. Entrees and dessert were very good. Low lights, quiet. We would definitely dine there again, though we didn't care for the waiter announcing the specials to two tables simultaneously, rather than quietly addressing each.
5/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
I wanted to take my girlfiend out somewhere special. Her being french-canadian made me think of french food. We tend to stay away from the strip to avoid the crowds and Pamplemousse was the perfect spot.
When you walk in, the ambiance of the place is very romantic. The lighting was dim and there were tea light candles at every table. Frank Senatra was playing lightly over the sound system. We were greeted by the Maitre`d ,Pierre. He was by far the best Maitre`d that I have ever encountered in all of the places we've eaten
The food was amazing. We ate for 4 hours, trying almost everything on the menu. Everything was perfectly cooked, and the sauces were to die for. I have already recomened this place to all of my friends.
5/23/2013 4:00:00 PM
I can't believe it
It got even better. The food was fantastic and better than ever. Perry, our waiter is at the top of his game and was truly professional without being haughty - a real gem. You all MUST go and experience one of the best in Vegas!

Pierre and the Pamplemousse Staff a
We heard good things about this restaurant and it was lively, crowded in a vibrant way and our wait person, his sommelier and Pierre were so professional and made our dinner for seven friends just great! from the Crudités Basket to the Chocolate Souffle! It's a bit off the beaten path but that's what makes it different from the Vegas hyped up restaurant..it's old and quaint! The food was delicious..the pate rich and creamy, the entrees of salmon and fettuccine, to the Osso Bucca...just delicious.

What a little gem
We have gone here twice now and everything has been very very good !!! Need I saw more . Please do yourself a favor and check out this wonderful little place in Las Vegas . See how many of the golden age of Hollywood actors you can name on the walls !!
6/5/2013 4:00:00 PM
While a little pricey, the food was wonderful. Our waiter, Pierre, who happens to be the owners brother, was friendly and helpful with our choices. I wouldn't suggest a large party. We went with a party of three, The dinner included the French onion soup, escargot, the ribeye, and chocolate soufflé. All three of us had the same dinner. $250.00 dollars later it seemed a lot for three people. Granted we new it would be, and the food was well worth it! I just wouldn't suggest it for a large party. It would be perfect for a romantic dinner for two. It's very romantic and has a great ambiance. Birthdays, anniversary, special occasions. And like I said before the food was wonderful!
6/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
We went there on our first night in Las Vegas. I got the old standby for French restaurants Coq au Vin and my husband had the veal with mushrooms. The food there was great. The wait staff were helpful and prompt. I loved they basket of veggies that started off our dining experience. Will tell friends who visit Las Vegas to go there.

Outstanding since 1976
Have to be doing something right to last so long. Now on their 2nd chef but maintains signature starter and amazing food and service. Be careful you don't give the building a kick but once inside the ambiance adds to the experience. The 5 course prix fix is a great value and no supplement to finish with a choice of souffle. Wine selection a little limited but priced right.
7/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
Will definitely come again
Great food and attentive service. Escargots was perfect, Grand Marnier Soufflé was delicious. I have to mention that they serve complimentary basket with fresh crudités which we loved. I highly recommend this restaurant.
7/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
The customer service was out of this world- very friendly and chipper server who kept up on the water glass topping off as if he were obsessed.
EXCELLENT gourmet food, at actually a reasonable price considering the top notch quality!
Everything was spectacular and I will definitely come back!!
VERY romantic ambiance, upscale, a real place to take someone you would be trying to impress.

We visited the restaurant
We visited the restaurant during restaurant week. While the food was the highlight of the evening, the sommelier was a close second. Specifically, when I told him the wines that we liked, he chose wines from the list that he thought we would enjoy--and we did. We also appreciated that Georges La Forge made a personal visit to our table. It was our first time to the restaurant but it won't be the last.
8/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
As one of Vegas' oldest restaurants (same location, chef-owner and head waiter for 37 years) I expected much less. I was pleasantly surprised. Very romantic, excellent service, good but not too fancy and fairly priced French cuisine. The escargot, coq au vin and especially the bread and butter were exceptional.

Hidden Gem right of Strip
Pamplemousse has been around for many years and the food has always been fantastic. The restaurant is a converted home and has three small dining rooms, all beautifully appointed. The cuisine is french and meals can be purchased a la carte or they have a 5 course meal for about $60. They serve duck, steak, seafood in puff pastry and the best beef bourginone and escargot I have ever eaten. We take friends and relatives there when we want to celebrate and have not been disappointed in more than 20 years of dining. The wine list is extensive and many wines are imported and affordable. I know you will enjoy yourself as Keifer and/or Perry will take excellent care of you, as they do all their customers.

Just as good!
My wife and I dined at this restaurant many times up to 30 years ago. It was one of our favorites.
The reviews were very positive, so we decided to give it a try. Let me tell you that it was as good, if not better, than we remembered! The food was great! The duck was the best have had in years. My granddaughter is a Vegan, and they fixed a special dish for her. The waiter, Keith was very attentive, helpful, and entertaining. As a result, we had a wonderful meal! It was also great to get away from the hotel environment.
I will definitely put this restaurant on our list when we return.

Cute and cozy.
Cute and cozy. We arrived around 8pm last Sunday. The only table that was there was leaving so we had the place to ourselves. Food was great and our server was quite entertaining while taking care of all of our needs. Don't understand why we were the only table, it was so great. Affordable and delicious. Only negative comment is we were never told Happy Anniversary. We were charged for all 3 desserts we ordered, with no writing or candle. But that would not prevent us from going back. Just surprised it wasn't acknowledged in some way. We still had a great dinner.

Great Romantic Dinners
It's a most special place in the heart of Las Vegas. Thankfully not everyone knows about it for, if they did, I would never get a table.
9/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
A step Back in Time
We were there 30 years ago and the food, service and ambience wee almost the same. We are now "locals" and would and will come back, again and again!!
10/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
This was our second time here. Last time was 6 years ago. The food was better than we remembered. We actually had the same waiter who took care of us in a polished, competent and entertaining fashion. We partook of the 5 course dinner which had plenty of choices to satisfy most palates. The food was superbly prepared and most enjoyable to eat. From the outside, you would never expect the classically elegance of the dining areas. We had a great romantic dinner.

A Trip to France in Las Vegas
Pamplemousse has endured for decades in Las Vegas where the usual restaurant shelf-life is less than 10 years. The food is top-notch, a taste of Provincial France; the service is outstanding; the ambience is charming, comfortable yet elegant; and, unbelievably, it's quiet! Something hard to find today. We ordered ala carte--the duck for him and braised lamb shank for me. Both delicious. The soup du jour was cream of celery, and amazing. Only slight disappointment, not enough garlic in the garlic mashed potatoes. Nobody's perfect! The prices weren't bad for a nice restaurant, we paid more at the seafood (chain) restaurant at the Golden Nugget. I'm definitely going back!

Want to pamper yourself?
Come to this out of the way neighborhood gem; has been around since 1976. I recently came into ownership of my parents' house very close by, and decided to try it out. I was not disappointed. The $29.95 bistro menu is perfect for a single diner, and all my food was cooked to perfection with fresh, aromatic herbs. Irving, my waiter, was friendly and attentive, not too overbearing, and I was able to substitute a nice, chilled bottle of Pellegrino mineral water(I like it much better than Perrier) for wine, since I do not drink.
Yes, it is certainly possible to enjoy French food without wine....it tastes just as good! Nice restaurant with decades of history!

We last dined here 28 years ago with friends celebrating their wedding and it was wonderful. Came back recently for my wife's birthday and it was wonderful again. Food was excellent, the filet mignon was melt in your mouth and the garden basket salad is so cool. The only reason it's not 5 stars is we had to ask for bread after waiting quite awhile, but it's a minor gripe since the bread was sooooo good and they brought a lot more. Our waiter and the manager were both very nice and professional and we got seated as soon as we arrived. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic dinner or a small group. Excellent food and ambience. Cozy and romantic AND it's not in a big hotel. We'll be back.

Great food, quiet, good service. Ideal place for actually being able to talk and hear what your spouse is saying. Very good value. The crudette was a bit over the top. Glad we went...

Sweet little place
We chose this restaurant based on OpenTable reviews of romantic restaurants in Vegas, and it fit the bill. Totally non-Vegas atmosphere, a QUIET little country house a couple of blocks from the Strip. Very attentive waiter. Entrees (duck and rib-eye steak) were a little dry but still tasty, desserts were very good. Definitely would recommend it.

This was a fun "French Dining"
This was a fun "French Dining" experience. Location is a bit off the strip. The wine list is small, but there is sufficient variety that you can find something you like in your price range

We`ve been to a lot of restaurants and we can count the really nice ones on one hand. This is undoubtedly one of the best. We don`t care a lot for the large commercial places. This little gem is nice and neat on the outside but, wait until you get inside! The décor is unbelievable!! Everything it should be. We had the pleasure of being served by a newly imported Frenchman named Gee. His style was impeccable and experienced. His accent really lent to the authenticity of the experience. And, the cuisine was excellently prepared. We were celebrating my friend`s belated birthday but, I don`t think we`ll be needing a special occasion to return to the Pamplemousse Le Restaurant . A very nice place!!!

Our first time
The service, atmosphere and food were great. It is a quiet restaurant that was perfect. The waiter was very personable and took great care of us. I would recommend this place for anyone who is looking to try a new place in town.

First time-Can't wait to go back.
Went on Thanksgiving not expecting a holiday menu. Stayed anyway and was very pleased! 4 course meal with the soups to die for, the salads were fresh and crisp with just the right amount of dressing. We had steak medallions and rack of lamb for the main course-cooked to perfection! We couldn't finish the dessert which was tasty also. We want to go back and try the escargot and steak dinners they offer which is why we went in the first place. Have to believe their daily menu has to be great if the one time holiday menu was that fantastic!!
