Best T-town food and experience.
THE BEST restaurant in Tuscaloosa, hands-down! This is the only place we think of for a special occasion, and Epiphany has NEVER disappointed! Don't miss the desserts, which are exceptional highlights to amazing meals!

Wonderful Epiphany Cafe
We chose Epiphany Café from their website on a weekend trip to Tuscaloosa. It exceeded our expectations in food & service & the ambience was quite pleasant. The food was excellent using fresh & local products with an imaginative flair & beautiful presentation. The service was excellent even though there was also a wedding rehearsal party at the restaurant. The wine list was good!

What a surprise!
Great find in T-Town. We love the farm to table concept and did not except to find this caliber of restaurant in T-Town. The food was fresh and well prepared. So many great choices on the menu, it was hard to choose. Plan to go back and try more things. Waitress was very helpful explaining the different menu options. Yummy scallops and the olive oil pound cake was incredible. We ate here on a summer week night and the place was very quiet.

Menue is alway different. Sometime I don't know what I order but it's always good. I always learn something when I go there

wonderful food, great service!
We found this restaurant last weekend and had a wonderful meal on Saturday night. Farm fresh produce prepared wonderfully by the chef. We will definitely be back next time we are in Tuscaloosa.

About As Expected
Wife and I on a Saturday night. No reservation needed. Lots of interesting items on menu. The beef tenderloin wasn't tender, but had an excellent taste and presentation. Service was timely. The fresh bread and "pork-belly" butter was worth the whole bill. Two people $100+tip. About as expected.

Good menu choices - AWESOME food
Great food and had one of the best waitresses that I had in a very long time! I will go back again and leave room for dessert next time. I ordered two small plates because I just wanted to try more than one thing on the menu. Food was exceptional.

Graduation Night Celebration
Overall great experience and would definitely dine there again. Waitress was super attentive. I accidentally left my camera in my seat when we left and they ran after me to return it.

Great hidden gem!
The outside doesn't do justice to the amazing restaurant! Food was delicious, great wait staff! Loved the whole experience! Will definitely go back!!

After trying for a week to find a good restaurant in Tuscaloosa that offered something other than steak, burgers, bbq or deep fried everything, we were happily surprised to find Epiphany. We plan on dinner there every night until we leave to return to Los Angeles. Epiphany offers seasonal dishes with ingredients sourced from local farms. Chef Tres creates inspired dishes with unique and complex flavor combinations. Good bar and wine list, great service and nice ambience! I suggest trying the Chef's Tasting Menu -- you get a front row seat to all the action in the kitchen.

Farm to Fork
I can't wait to go back to Tuscaloosa just to be able to dine again at Epiphany. The dishes were creative and the ingredients fresh and mostly local. Our server was outgoing, friendly and very attentive.

best in Tuscaloosa
Since Kozy's closed. I would rate Epiphany the best in T-town. I could have given 5 stars, but you can up the quality by driving to Birmingham. The wine list is short but has good selections in reasonable price ranges. On our last visit we all had seafood, paired with a nice Blauer Zweigelt. All of the seafood was well prepared and nicely spiced ... not over- or under cooked. We shared a veggie appetizer of egg plant meatballs (also on their vegetable entree plate) but vegans beware: There is bacon in the sauce, so ask before you assume too much. Tres Jackson is big on letting you know where all of the ingredients are from, which is a trend that I rather like. The food is fresh and well presented with a relatively creative menu. Nice.

Had not been to Epiphany Café for quite some time, and local-ingredients menu and quality rival that of best Birmingham has to offer, including Hot and Hot Fish Club and other 5-star offerings. We will definitely be back!

Another great Epiphany visit!
Was in Tuscaloosa to visit son at UA and had to make our trip over to visit Epiphany for great food and wine! Katie was our server, she is awesome! We will be back there again in a few weeks for more delicious food.

Great food, wine, and service.
Great food, wine, and service. We had a late reservation but didn't feel rushed, and our waitress was friendly and cute as a button. Best restaurant in Tuscaloosa without a doubt.

The menu was interesting,
The menu was interesting, and we enjoyed our appetizers and the dessert we ordered. The entrees were a little disappointing, though. They were smaller than the small plates, and they were woefully under seasoned. We'll give them another try if we are in the area, though, and hope it was a fluke.

Great food but...
The food is phenomenally well-prepared. However, the portions are way too small. The entrees are more like appetizers in size. One is just beginning to enjoy the entree and suddenly it is gone... We are not food addicts, we are normal eaters who rarely go to buffets. Couldn't they give us just a bit more?

Farm to Fork a Hit!
The menu is touted as being "eclectic" and it lived up to it's claim. We loved the interesting combination of favors using locally grown produce and meats (plus seafood that is environmentally sensitive): fried brussell sprouts, cauliflower soufflé, salmon, scallops, short-ribs, eggplant meatballs - all delicious! Service was a bit spotty, but came with a great southern accent and a smile. The wine list was good as well, although the mixed drinks were below par according to the guys in our group. Also, I'd skip the "bread service" next time.

Excellent food!!!!!! A must
Excellent food!!!!!! A must if you are visiting or live in the area!

Easy to walk past, but DON'T
The food is farm to table and you can really taste the freshness ingredients. Our group shared the sweet potato and mushroom polenta small plates. For our entrees we ordered the the corn lasagna and the batter fried catfish. We gave all our choices 4 or 5 stars.
Wine selection is extensive - but would have liked a couple of more choices by the glass.
The atmosphere was urban pub style. The narrow entry skirts a long wooden bar and the dining room opens up in the back. Exposed brick and wood make the place feel warm and inviting. We could have stayed for hours just talking and enjoying fine wine.
We will definitely return to Epiphany.

Great local farm to table
We tried 5 different apps ....they were all very good. Then we had 4 different main dishes and they were all very tasty all. It was a great experience.

I saw Ephinany Cafe mentioned in Southern Living magazine, and was surprised to see a restaurant like this in a college town. I hadnt been to Tuscaloosa in a long time, and the restaurant scene has really improved. The place had a cool vibe and a very interesting, current menu. Shared some small plates with a friend, and most of our selections were very good! I would go back and I would reccomend to friends. It's a bit pricey for the college kids though.

Well prepared farm to fork dining
Stopped by on a rainy night enroute to Birmingham. Very light crowd, but great service and friendly, attentive staff. Food was very tasty, a bit different from the ordinary. Would definitely return when in the area.

We had a great time. The service was great, from meal recommendations to bringing us a small taste of a wine we weren't sure about and the local ingredients made for interesting options on the menu. The price is competitive for the type of restaurant. If we we lived in Tuscaloosa, we would be regulars there.
