A Good 'Time'
Restaurant opened at 5 and was busy in a relatively short time. Bartender and Waitstaff handled it well. Table was ready for us as we had reservations for dinner. Great selection for tap beer as they had two selections I've been looking for and they didn't disappoint. Burgers were great but mussels had a lot of onion and were marginal. Fries come with both and were really good (especially after three beers). I recommend Time as a low key place with live music in the background, good beer and for us it was an enjoyable evening.

We were coming to visit Philadelphia and found this address by chance. It was a great experience. Maybe the best we had in the US. We a french and for us food is very important. The meals were finitely special and very tasty. The meat was perfectly cooked. The spices were just right. The whole family would like to be back. Price is reasonable and the service was great. They even offered us a desert as the one we ordered was not available anymore. A wonderful restaurant that we recommend to everybody who loves a gat and original meal.

Time was an absolute find.
Time was an absolute find. The food was very inventive without getting off track. The chicken and waffles was incredible as was the duck breast. Being a whiskey lover I was very impressed with the incredible selction of bourbons and single malt scotches. We only wish we lived in Philadelphia so we could go more often. We will definately be back any time we are there.

My evening out
I love live jazz and I love good grub. If I can enjoy both together, so much the better! I was not disappointed on either count. I had a really enjoyable time and thoroughly enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. I'll be back!

WIsh we had TIME in Chicago
What a gem of Philly! When I FB my status at TIME with a picture of us doing flights of Bourbon....everyone wanted to know where it was located. We had a group of four--two couples looking for a good night out on the town. We had a few cocktails in the bar before our reservation. We were seated promptly and the ambiance was perfect. The right amount of seating, great views and the live jazz music made it perfect. The food was awesome and I'm still craving your mac n cheese! Thanks to the wait staff, our server, the musicians and the owners--what a perfect night out in Philly!

Hidden surprise has decent fare.
We were a bit skeptical about the place as there were rows of dumpsters on the sidewalk as we walked Sansom St. between the French Quarter and Time. The outside and inside decor is not glitzy and there were very few diners when we arrived at 7:30 on a Friday night. However the bar was nearly full, and lively but not unruly.
Fare was eclectic and somewhat limited but my grilled vegetables and sausage dish was very good. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing (in spite of the dearth of diners) and selection of drinks was good. Diners increased some during the hour we were there.
I characterized the place as a neighborhood gem, but it leans more toward sapphires than diamonds. It makes a more "hip" impression than "WOW!"

My friends recommended that I try Time because the food is good and they offer live entertainment. I wasn't disappointed. A friend and I dined after work and enjoyed a few of the happy hour specials including: the mac & cheese (this was my favorite dish of the night, it was untraditional, but had a creamy flavor and the smoked brisket gave it a really nice twist), shrimp & grits, roasted quail, pound of wings, onion rings, and french fries. The only item we didn't care for were the onion rings - they were cooked well, but the breading lacked seasoning, which made them tast bland. The ambiance was really nice as well - there was a live jazz band that night, which wasn't too loud, or distracting from the meal. I will definitely return!

Time's got it all - relaxed dining accompanied by excellent live jazz, friendly waitstaff, and delicious food. On this visit we started with our favorite appetizer - the onion rings. My husband and I then both had the hangar steak, which was cooked perfectly. My son's fried chicken sandwich (we sampled it) was a palate-pleasing balance of soft brioche-style bun, crispy chicken, and spicy slaw. My daughter declared the burger the best she's ever had. Both the sandwich and the burger came with a heaping side of thin, crispy fries. Dessert was homemade icecream, peach cobbler, and bread pudding. Delish all round, although the peanut butter icecream was less like icecream and more like a heavy frozen mousse. We'll be back for sure!

We visit family Philadelphia and trust them to pick out great places. This time we were on our own and found Time through Open Table. We absolutely lucked out in that it was one of the greatest dinners we've had in a long time.
The risotto balls were perfect texture outside and soft inside with a dipping sauce that had all the umami flavors. The shrimp and grits was one of the better dishes I've ever had and I don't love red pepper sauce. This was definitely the best dish. Hangar steak was cooked perfectly and the roasted vegetables that came with it had great flavor and crunch. Fried chicken was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside.
Our server, Grant, was knowledgeable and attentive, both about the food and the whisky.

A hidden gem in Philly
My husband and I were looking for a nice romantic place to spend our night and Time was suggested by a friend. We couldn't have been more pleased with everything. Our waiter was wonderful, the food was fantastic, and the ambiance during dinner time was exactly what we were looking for. Perfect romantic lighting and a cute duo that played beautiful love songs while we shared a wonderful night together. As we were leaving by about 7:45, the place started to fill up and we walked by again at 9 and it was packed. If you're looking for a nice romantic dinner with great food, get there by 6-6:30. But if you're looking for great beer and a nice wine selection and your regular bar crowd, then after 9 is best. Great place!

I went to TIME to celebrate
I went to TIME to celebrate my husband's 22nd birthday. He loves jazz music, so I figured it would be great for him and he did love the music and the food! However, I would not say it was on the romantic side. It is very crowded, and the loud music made it hard to hear the person next to you or your server. If you want more of the romance you would have to get there way sooner, but the music would not be live. Also the dining area is very very crowded especially when there are two areas for people to go to in the same place. This interferes with the people dining b/c someone is constantly bumping your chair. Overall it is nice place for having fun and meeting mature people if you're single. But as far as romance, make sure you go before 9pm

Wanted to grab a quick bite and based on Open Table reviews we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. Everything was spot on, from the food to the service. The shrimp and grits is a must-have as I've been thinking about the dish ever since. Great craft beer and whiskey selection too. Whenever I hear that a place has live music I think loud and obtrusive. Not at all here. The music was a perfect accompaniment to the meal. Definitely recommend for a chill-out romantic scene.

Time at Restaurant Week
The Restaurant Week menu had more than three courses, which was very nice. The hors d'oeuvres were tasty, although it was a little late in the season for the peach and pepper tartare. Same with the cobbler. The peaches were bland. The pepper risotto had just the right amount of peppers in them, but the consistency was just a little too mushy for my taste. The roasted salmon with roasted artichoke hearts and gnocchi were nicely done. Bad idea with the risotto as the previous course. There was a guitarist and saxophonist playing the night we went. I'll have to go back one night when they aren't there. Didn't enjoy shouting to be heard by the person sitting next to me.

That evening the 2nd band was a bit loud for the space. But great food, great drinks, great service and a very unique space, we enjoyed it a lot!

We had dinner reservations
We had dinner reservations for 6:30 on a Fri for Restaurant Week. We were seated early and there wasn't many people there, however, by the time our food started arriving the restaurant started filling up. It seems like a popular spot for drinks. Lots of people mingling around with drinks in their hand. It got a bit annoying with so many people around. I was seated in the chair that was on the walkway side and people kept bumping into the chair. It probably wouldn't have been as bad if we weren't seated at the high top tables. The food was delicious though they did forget the tomatoes in my friend's main dish. There was also live jazz music while we ate. I would love to go back for drinks and check out some of the other rooms.

Time to get yourself to TIME
Time Restaurant and Bar is great place to go for drinks and dinner. Located at 1315 Sansom Street. We went here before the a theater show. Our food was excellent! I recommend the Duck Breast. Our server was excellent. The bill was reasonable including drinks. We will definately return!

We love Time
Time has become me and my husband's spot -- it's a real gem. We love the atmosphere at Time -- the music is great, the food is yummy, and the drinks are just right. We've been to Time about four times now and can't wait to go back again. I highly recommend The Burger and the Mac n Cheese is great too. Go early for a romantic dinner with nice live music or later for a more energetic scene.

Quality & Value
We entertained our guests at Time Saturday night and everything was impressive. It is always a pleasure when the chef expresses his/her creativity with specials that reflect the season and mood of the city. Time has a very hard-working and competent staff and Tim, a general manager makes sure the entire experience is high in quality, steeped in value and quite memorable. He is extremely knowledgeable about the fare and will guide you to your favorite flavors of food and drink. We are always very pleased and Time is on a very short list of venues we make sure our guests enjoy when they visit Philadelphia.

Great food and live music
My wife and I had a great dinner (pork chops for me and lobster pasta special for my wife and we share the kale salad). Each course was extremely tasty. We were pleasantly surprised by the jazz duo who played. It really made the night one to remember. Service was excellent.

A great find.
We visit Philly on a regular basis and have dined at many fine restaurants. This was our first trip to Time and we were delighted to discover this intimate place with very good food, friendly but unobtrusive service and live jazz on a Sunday evening. This place was a real find and we'll certainly be returning.

Great beer, great live jazz,
Great beer, great live jazz, good food (tried the bone marrow...) . We had the best seat in the house for a long distance relationship couple. We sat side by side in the corner of the long bench with a little table. Could see the band but far enough away so we could talk easily (English is her second language). We arrived at 730 and the place gradually filled with a lively crowd. Hope we didn't gross y'all out with the PDA!
