Must have BBQ shrimp, crab salad, lamb chops, and debate by chocolate cake. Service is grieta, quite and romántico atmosphere.

The Flaming Torch never disappoints
The Flaming Torch never disappoints. The duck was prepared perfectly, and the white chocolate bread pudding with rum sauce was memorable. Bravo.

This is absolutely one of my favorite local restaurants ! There is nothing about it that isn't uniquitely New Orleans . I feel like I'm dining in France! The food is fresh and original while keeping with tradition! Truly a neighborhood gem.......

Great Food & Romantic Atmosphere
Dining room was small, quiet, and just dark enough. Very intimate. The dining room was nearly empty, and service was very attentive. Mussels, New York strip, and bread pudding....all excellent!

3rd Time Visitor !
I found this restaurant thru and Open Table search and every time I have gone everything's consistent with the prior visits. Excellent food, great service, and overall just a nice place to have a dinner, even if late nite!

As always, the Torch did not disappoint! Wife had redfish with sauce Maltaise and I had the calve's liver. Must return soon.

A Real Find
Delightful restaurant - good food and great service; a real neighborhood gem

I expected this restaurant to be more on the snootie side, but was pleasantly surprised to find differently. I was, however, disappointed with some of the guests coming in to a nice French restaurant for dinner with shorts and flip-flops. They did not appear to be tourists either. The restaurant is also not what I would call kid friendly (the menu), but there was a family with three kids under 6 who were very disruptive. Of course, none of this is restaurant's fault, but it did make an otherwise pleasant adult dining experience less so.

Very Good French Cuisine!
I love this restaurant. It is small and quiet.......intimate I suppose would be the best way to describe it. The service makes you feel pampered without being stuffy. Great nice/casual place to go. It is a bit on the pricier side, but I think it is totally worth it.

The food was great. The server was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was warm and romantic. We will be returning to the Flaming Torch.

Disappointed this time
Tried the salad with lobster and beef tips. The lobster was almost non-existent, it looked like leftovers -- the beef was ok, though. The "remoulade" was tasteless. They need to improve on this salad.
Onion Soup is always the best in town!!!

Best service I have had in New Orleans! I had the lamb, and it was excellent as well.

a great French restaurant. We had only appetizers and they were wonderful. Great French onion soup, duck pate, rabbit risotto, and a lobster appetizer. All were wonderful. I would go back regularly if I lived here. Little parking and difficult to find

This was my first visit to the Flaming Torch and I was well-pleased. The mussells were flavored well, but a little over salty for my taste... it's probably me, as I do watch my sodum intake. The meal was garnished with fried potatoes which were crispy and almost thread sized. We had a four-year old with us, and the waitress and chef were very accomodating... offered a couple of off the menu items to us.

Second visit, food was great as the first. Shrimp sazerac, French onion soup, coq au vin, and a spiced chocolate dessert. All very good...will definitely be back again soon!

Intimate, delicious restaurant
My family came down to visit. Their regular favorites are Martinique and Patois. They felt like trying somewhere new. I figured Flaming Torch would be like their favorites but be a different location.
I've been to Flaming Torch before. As previously, the service and food were great. Remy (waiter) did a great job. There were plenty of choices for everyone, and everything was cooked perfectly.
Don't forget to try the French Onion Soup!

I had the risotto as an appetizer and it was amazing. The filet I ordered was the tenderest well done steak I have ever had. It was outstanding...and the creme brulee was the great ending to a fabulous meal. I am definitely going back.

Seared redfish was amazing
The crabmeat and hollandaise sauce were so good together. The broth for the mussels was incredible also.
