Friendly and helpful staff
Asked the waitress what she thought of a couple of items and instead of saying "good", she told us what was in it, what she liked about it, talked about the chef by name, said that she ordered of the items but not the other. Loved the honesty and actually followed her suggestion of the Wilber pizza (ton's of meat as she said). Told her that we want it Delgato style, she actually came by to ask how we liked the variation and told us things she's tried and liked. She was a little new, so we told her of things we have tried there. It's always worthwhile when you can have an exchange with the staff that both walk away a bit smarter and happier.

We were VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED.
We were VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. We have driven by the Saucy Noodle dozens of times, and, I guess, its somewhat unimpressive exterior caused us to disregard it. What a mistake! The interior is charming, the service was excellent and the classic-Italian menu items we chose were terrific. We will definitely go again and we recommend it highly.

Very good restaurant for the
Very good restaurant for the value, in a nice neighborhood, great customer service, great food. Not fancy, but definitely comfortable, cozy, and clean. There are old fashioned photos all over the restaurant, and I think it's still owned by the same family who started it 48 years ago. A neighborhood gem for sure. They make a homemade linguine that is fabulous, and the garlic levels are just right in the sauce. We had a very nice evening and dinner here.

True family style Italian.
True family style Italian. One of the best, if not the best, Italian food in Denver and worth the drive no matter where you live in Denver. This is the only Italian restaurant my Italian wife gushes about. Their sign says "If you don't like garlic, go home", so keep that in mind if that flavor is too strong for you, and don't bother with any salad dressing other than their gorgonzola, it's the best you'll ever have.

Fabulous food, excellent service.
I haven't been to the Saucy Noodle in years and now know what I was missing. The food was fabulous and our service was excellent. He really went out of his way to ensure we were enjoying our meal. Thanks!

Great restaurant all around!
We have dined at the Saucy Noodle several times and we recently just took our kids there for their pre-triathalon dinner and the entire experience was a joy; from the minute we were greeted at the door until we walked out. The food is great, the service is exceptional and just a wonderful dinner all around. There was a large party next to us and they all seemed very happy too so I would reccomend the Saucy Noodle for any occasion from date night to birthday gathering!

Maybe she was having a rough day
Good old-fashioned, no-frills Italian food. The Saucy Noodle represents everything I loved about Italian as a kid: huge plates of pasta, giant meatballs, and a simple homestyle red sauce. The wine list was, surprisingly, very robust. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful about their wine list, but not very attentive or inviting when it came to serving. We had to ask every time we wanted another glass of wine; she never so much as looked at our empty glasses. Likewise, she served us our meals and whisked away without so much as a "is there anything else I can bring you?" All and all, it was a good experience that could have been excellent with better service.

Authentic Italian food. My husband loved the mozerella sticks with homemade marinara. Great service. Portions are big.

Maybe more stars next time?
Overall, the dining experience was pleasant. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the pasta al arrabbiata with their homemade linguini with Italian sausage, and my husband ordered the spaghetti with meatball. We both asked for the gorgonzola dressing based on other reviews and recommendations. The salad was delicious. As for the entrees, I prefer my husband's entree over mine -- the homemade linguini was not much to write home about. Perhaps I should've just stuck with the rigatoni that usually comes out with the arrabiata sauce.
Would definitely try this place again and give it another shot; we've been looking for a solid Italian place to dine at in Denver, and this place looks promising.

Good food, red walls
The food was great. So filling that half orders are probably a good meal for most people. Prices were totally reasonable and staff was fun, friendly, and knowledgable. Only draw back were the red walls. As I mean RED.

This was our first visit to the Saucy Noodle and it did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. The meatball was tender and full of flavor. The sausage and peppers was great, very spicy and yummy. We will definitely come back again!
