Always a great time!
We had a great time! The food and atmosphere are fantastic at the Cut, and the super friendly and helpful staff bring it all together. Our server remembered us from our last visit around a month and a half ago, and made us feel right at home.
We started with the caesar salad made at the table - we had to have a whole one for each of us, as it's entirely too good to share. We each had a 16oz Oulton Farms ribeye, and both were cooked to perfection - each were exactly what we'd asked for, and they were amazing. When we had trouble deciding on a second side to share, our server suggested the onion rings - if you haven't given these a try, just do it - they've done AMAZING things with what is normally a plain dish!

Going to Cut is an experience. They give you a lot of information to help you make your choice. The food was fantastic- we had a striploin and a ribeye, garlic mashed potatoes, fries, mushrooms, onions and an appetizer. I had creme brulee for dessert. They also gave us banana bread for the next day. It was the second best meal I have ever had. Its not an affordable place for a regular outing but perfect for a special occasion.

The steak was perfectly prepared. The service was amazing. Very friendly, knowledgable, attentive and observant. Fast but it never felt rushed. We felt like the only customers in the restaurant. Would highly recommend dining here and will definitely be back!

One of the best steakshouses I ate
I found the Cut steakhouse via OpenTable. It was a good choice. The service was excellent but not obtrusive, the food especially my Alberta Black Angus Ribeye just excellent. I especially liked the idea that they show you the different meats on a little cart so you can make your choice by seeing the different type of meats.
As well if you are looking for a more quite place without the music pumping this is it. But be aware, quality is not cheap, however it was worth every dollar spent.

Great food and amazing service!
Great food and amazing service as always! We can't say enough about the table-side caesar - we have to order one of these for each of us now, as they're simply too good to share. We both tried out the Alberta ribeye (grass fed and organic) this time and weren't disappointed. They were done EXACTLY as we had asked, and were juicy and flavourful and really fantastic. Our first server even remembered our drinks from our last visit over a month ago - the personalized service is one of the many reasons we keep coming back!

Dinner for Two
My wife and I had always wanted to try out Cut and finally did on our anniversary. We really enjoyed the education our server provided and appreciated the fact that we could share sides due to the portion sizes. I think this place is a definite must for us.

When we first walked in the atmosphere was very pleasant and the staff were very friendly.
We were seated next to the window and had an OK view of the harbour.
Service was very prompt and the waiter very helpful with our dinner selection since it was our first time there.
The food was very good and would certainly recommend this restaurant to others.

First time to Cut we had a great night just out celebrating life. Food was great and the sides were delicious, very attentive servers and informative about your beef selection . Would recommend Cut for a good night out.

Plate full of Delicious food
The entire meal was delightful from the foie gras starter, to the bone in tenderloin and each of the sides we shared were excellent!!! Not a bite was wasted as everything tasted so great.
For the price I expected this and was not disappointed. Our table of 4 left with smiles all round and happy for the meal we shared at CUT.

A Cut Above the Rest (groan)
A wonderful evening full of culinary delights and deliciousness. The menu is generous for all foodie types - but with the specialty cuts of meat and in-house aging - from our back door to New Zealand - you'd be crazy to sway from the steak. The attention to detail is heaven. Examples - 2 types of butter - one being maple. Individual Bodum coffee service. 3 sea salts - 2 from Hawaii. Need I say more? Lastly - where else do you get a precious little towelette at the end of an extraordinary meal to freshen up with? Not even at Le Cirque in NYC. If you are not a steak lover, you have to go anyways. There is a great non-steak menu as well.

My wife and I recently visited the Cut Steakhouse and had the 16 oz Nebraska Rib-eye and it was phenomenal. What made the dinner really good was the presentation of the different cuts of meat before ordering to ensure you know what you are getting and the chance to sample the wine list before ordering was a bonus. Your water glass is constantly filled and the staff seems to ensure you're okay without being intrusive. Expensive to eat there but you get what you pay for, excellent food, excellent service, and excellent atmosphere. Plus we received a free walnut banana loaf from the chef as a thank you on our way out the door.

Great overall experience
We had a nice romantic dinner for 2 at the Cut. It was a great experience from start to finish.
The waiting staff were extremely polite and helpful...and had good knowledge of both the food and wine.

The restaurant remembered why we had made the reservation through a small note we made through the Open Table reservation about it being our 20th Anniversary. The mentioned it when they seated us and also prepared a special dessert. Great service, superb meal and the perfect spot to enjoy an evening out.

First time at CUT

Best Meal Ever!
Took the wife out for annv and was by far our best meal ever...service was exceptional....ceasar salad made table side was phenomal and there was no need to use the steak knife with our steaks...simply amazing...wasn't a cheap meal but i'll definelty be going back...well worth the price and the 25 % tip we left!

For an upscale Resto, Cut's staff make you feel welcome, at home, and yes! You belong there. How nice for once for an establishment to load up on some male eye candy for once - just a bonus. Beautiful waiters. I digress. The food! Lovely touches like 2 butter varieties, a small veggie sampler. A magic towlette. Take home banana mini loaf! The meat presentation. And you haven't had Caesar salade until you've had one made from scratch at your table. Spectacular. For me, the guilt free knowledge that they will overcook my tenderloin at my request without hesitation (but with a smirk) - is priceless for an upscale steakhouse
Loved everything. Can't wait for an excuse to justify a trip back.

Great Send off Night !
The Cut Steakhouse was "rock star" category for steak restaurants. It is not easy on the wallet but it is worth every penny.
Our food was fantastic and although fancy, the restaurant did not have a pompous feel to it. It was just plain great fine dining. Steaks were perfectly done with magnificent flavour, Caesar salads fresh and enough for 2. Potatoes were the perfect interesting side dish (double baked potato was excellent but was overshadowed by another style of baked potato topped with truffle oil). I would highly recommend this place if you are prepared to pay 150.00 per person including alcohol.

Limited menu options
Let me start by saying the food was FANTASTIC! Our only issue was that both the restaurant's website and OpenTable description mentioned filet mignon - the reason we went to this place. On arrival, there were many different types and cuts of beef (American, Canadian, Waygu - strip, ribeye, tenderloin, etc). However, no filet in sight - maybe it is a special or seasonal? However, the seasonal salad was delicious, the truffle potatoes were outstanding, the farmers market vegetables - we had squash - was fantastic, and the carrot cake was good (not as good as a previous night's carrot cake but still up there). And the steaks were delcious! We had two types of strips (American and local Canadian) to compare. Overall very good!

Cut is absolutely fantastic. Tremendous steaks, extensive wine list & delicious sides. The service is phenomenal. Overall I believe it's the best fine dining in Atlantic Canada.
