Three of us went for an after-theat
Three of us went for an after-theater dinner on a Sunday evening. It was a nice surprise to see that if we showed our tickets, we received 20% off our total dinner!Enjoyed the sangria, shared herbed focaccia bread and had fried calamari for an appetizer. I would have liked the marinara sauce to be a little spicier. I had the spaghetti with lobster and so did my friend. She had it removed from the shell, I didn't.(Our waiter brought steaming hot towels for me after I made a mess of my hands. THANK YOU!)The third meal was the baby gnocchi which was a big hit. Very attentive staff and nice decor. It was not crowded at 6PM and we appreciated the calm surroundings. I would definitely go back.

Great after the show place!
Great place after an evening show to have dinner. Arrived at 11:00pm didn't feel rushed while we ate even though they closed at midnight.

Where to go before your matinee
Serafina is never disappointing. This theatre area spot is great for pre or post theatre meals. The pasta and pizza are unbeatable. And their pancakes and French toast for brunch are outstanding.

Quiet theater district restaurant
Excellent food and service; a quiet spot for a pre/post theater dinner. Gluten-free pasta choices were delicious.

Mothers day brunch
The food was great. The service not so much. The bus boys were more helpful and attentive than the waiter who seemed to just forget about us often.

Tasty, dependable meal at reasonable, NYC prices; very close to Book of Mormon/Eugene O'Neill Theater.

Great theater eatery
Saw Motown. Safarina was a couple of blocks away. Everything we ordered was great and we were out in plenty of time. I'll be back

Great dinner before a show
We took our family for dinner before seeing The Book of Mormon, and we couldn't have asked for a better option. The food was fantastic and the service was superb! Wait staff was very sensitive to our time constraint and got us out in time for curtain, even though we were a bit late. We loved it so much, we came back for dessert after the show.

Food as great as in their
Food as great as in their original location in Manhattan, minus the great ambience and stone pizza oven there.

Great pre-broadway place
We brought a big group here (~20). We originally had two reservations, but they were able to put us all together. This location is less busy than the other location at 55th and Broadway and thus much better for groups. The food was good as always. The funghi pizza is a must try for mushroom lovers. Penne alla stolichnaya is always my favorite.

We ate at Serafina in Philadelphia
We ate at Serafina in Philadelphia and when we saw it near our hotel in New York we were happy to see a place we knew we could get a good meal. We were not disappointed. They have the best pizza. We enjoyed it so much we went back a second time.
Its a casual eating establishment.

Really wonderful restaurant
It was my first time eating at this restaurant. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. I'd definitely eat there again and would totally recommend it to the closest of friends and family members. Very clean too!

We had really good time at this place - food was perfect, staff very friendly and helpful. Been going to theaters for years, not sure how we missed this one, now will be coming more often.

This is the second time we have had brunch, and it was great.

This was a great dining experience. Delicious pasta. Nice ambience. The hostess was a little too busy for comfort but delivered on our requests. Recommend this place highly.

It's a good place to go with friends for chat and have good Italian food.

Family pre-theater dinner
There were seven in our party at six o'clock on a saturday night. We were seated promptly at a round table in a quiet niche. The service was perfect and fast, the wine was very nice. Husband's pasta - bolognese - was average, he said. Daughter's vegetarian platter and my salmon - with spinach and lentils - were awesome. We are foodies, used to wonderful chefs, our standards are very high. Can recommend this restaurant w/out reservations. I asked for a salad made to my specifications and they accomidated it w/out hesitation, came exactly as I requested. Very nice!

Great Italian in Theater District
Excellent salads and pastas, very convenient for pre and post theater dining.

Convenient to theatre
Right next door to Eugene O'Neill Theatre. Fine for casual supper before theatre.

Great for a Broadway Show
I have been to other Serafina Restaurants in the city. The food quality and service is always very good. I highly recommend the thin crust pizzas. My girlfriend had the filet medallion special and it was extremely tender and flavorful. The location is very convenient if you are attending a show. We were going to Chicago and it was right across the street. The restaurant was packed so I suggest reserving a table if you are going pre-theater.

Excellent meal before the show
The food and service were excellent. I was worried that we'd be rushed to get out I time for the show but the service was very fast the food was great. Had time for a delicious desert too.

We were greeted right away and given a choice of seating. Service was wonderful and the food was very good. Perfect for dinner before a show!

Met friends from Australia
Met friends from Australia here before seeing WICKED. We had the stuffed focaccia- which was large enough for 4 of us to share with leftovers for them to take back to their hotel. I had the Farfalle Limoncello and LOVED it. Other people ordered the Veal Milanese and a pasta dish with tomatoes. We enjoyed the drinks and got out in plenty of time for our show.

Lovely restaurant for pre-matinee ladies lunch. My friends and I eat here often.

This one is a keeper!!! We were looking for a great place near the theaters. Tried many, but never had that 'AHA' moment...until Serafina! Just tried it because it was next to our show and across from parking. What a find! The food was the best we have had in NYC, even after trying many 'notable chef' Italian places. It was delicious - every one of our dishes. Try the meat sauce - incredible! Great service and great staff attitudes. Overall - a wonderful place we will frequent when we go to NYC. thanks.

Great for Pre-Theatre
Party of 4 with a 6:15P dinner reservation. Luckily it wasn't matinee day. No prob getting a seat. Kitchen graciously split a risotto entree onto separate plates (we might not have been so lucky had the place been packed. Great Italian. And easy to eat just as light, or as heavy, as you want.

Great food, fun crowd.
This restaurant came recommended from friends who frequent the city. They hadn't tried this location, but this was near our show. We had our 4 year old with us. We wanted a place that would welcome kids, but offer us a notable meal. This was the place! The crowd was mostly adults, but I did see a few tables with children as well. They had a kids menu and offered crayons. You would be happy here with or without children.

Nice place, great food, kids menu
Food and drinks were excellent (black truffle risotto was fabulous). Had 2 small children in the group (2 and 6), they were given crayons and a children's menu. Sever was helpful and accommodating with the kids. If you have kids and are tired of the mediocre food at "family restaurants" give this place a try. It is not a place to let the kids run wild (then again no restaurant should), but if your kids are well behaved and used to dine out this maybe the place for you.

Farfalle w limoncello is heavenly
Needed a last-minute dining option close to the theatre. This one had good ratings and it was next door to the theatre, so we took the gamble. Salads were OK (I had the steak salad, which I do not recommend as the quality of meat was mediocre). The farfalle pasta with limoncello and baby shrimp was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever eaten, anywhere. I savored every morsel.
Service was a little slow and the restaurant was a bit noisy, but it is Manhattan on a Saturday night so I'm not complaining!

We had an early dinner on Thanksgiving after the parade. Good food, ample menu, nice relaxed pace. Nice place to warm up and spend time with friends or family.
