I used your venue for a business
I used your venue for a business dinner meet n greet, with the after dinner drinks for the roof top. But WOW! the crowd on that roof top was not really condusive for business clients, a tad raunchy and spoiled the views of LA that I thought our out of town guest would enjoy.
under stand tredny and all, but may a bit more security should be thought about.

The best thing about eating here for us on Mother's Day is how attentive the Host and Servers were, everyone was very professional and cheerful. The breakfast entrees were pretty good, no complaints from anyone.

I ordered the brioche french toast which was simply delicious. The restaurant has a bright, creative atmosphere and is open 24 hours!! Took my mom here for a mothers day brunch. it was perfect for the occasion and she loved it.

I was disappointed to learn that the restaurant is on the group level and not the rooftop. I got over that quickly once our server, Travis, greeted us with the special Dine LA menu. My friend and I choose Dine LA options ($35 for appetizer, entree and dessert). Each dish was delicious. My calamari appetizer was wonderful. It's been a while since I've eaten calamari that crispy rather than fried crunchy hard. Best I've had since Greece. My halibut entree was served over a tartar aioli that was light and tasty. Paper thin potato wafer crisps were amazing - especially dipped in the aioli. The dessert was a plum crumble that was out of this world! The fruit was soft but not mushy. The crumble crunchy but not too sweet. Perfection!

A Pleasant Surprise
I wasn't sure what to expect from a hipster hotel restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised. The steak was cooked perfectly and was so decadent with the manchego cheese. The creme brulee was to die for. I like that the waiter left a carafe of water on the table, so I don't have to wait for my glass to be filled and I don't need to be interrupted constantly with waiters making sure my glass is never half full. Every restaurant should start doing this.

Quite a surprise....
I was skeptical due to it being a "hotel" restaurant which typically means over priced meidocre food. This place is the antithesis of that....great food at competitive price for Downtown. If you work Downtown, you must give it a try.....

Cool hotel, great staff, good food
We sat outside on the patio, fun to eat and people watch as all the hipsters filed in and out of the hotel lobby. The drinks were excellent, our server was fantastic, and the food was good but not great. After dinner we went up to the ping pong bar for drinks, we had planned to go to the rooftop bar but one of the people in our party was wearing shorts so we were turned away. Funny, it's a rooftop POOL bar, right? In LA, right? And shorts are a no go. Interesting, somehow I was magically beamed to Paris without realizing it. In any case we had fun and the ping pong bar had its own charm, albeit less sheik than the rooftop no-shorts allowed pool bar I'm sure. Be aware that if you plan to go to the rooftop there is a $20 cover

Had brunch on the patio before a matinee at the Mark Taper Forum. It was a wonderful experience topped off by the play. The menu is imaginative, the food was excellent, and the service was without flaw. This was the second time at this restaurant and it is now one of my favorites downtown. Will return often.

My boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary and staying at the standard - we wanted to make it easy on ourselves and chose a place where we could do it all - eat, swim, dance, etc. in one night, and this food was DEFINITELY to die for. The restaurant itself was nice enough, and the staff were a little busy but otherwise totally fine. If it weren't for the high cost, I'd have rated this place through the roof, simply because I can't even remember having my mouth literally water from food this amazing. It was INCREDIBLE. But we won't be back again too soon, because our wallets need a break :).

Giving a Standard to Excellence
The Standard Restaurant in the Standard Hotel offers an amazing menu with an upscale and classy atmosphere. The service is on point and the food is tasty! I would recommend this for anyone who loves food and experiencing the LA atmosphere in downtown.

What a view!
We had made reservations in the lobby restaurant, but it was a beautiful warm day and there was available seating on the roof top. A fabulous way to spend lunch hour down town. The chicken kale sliders were very good.
