Excellent service - waiter
Excellent service - waiter very knowledgeable about the menu. Great food. A little on the expensive side - $18.00 for a martini! It is a place where they expect you to dine, so things are a little slow. We had a theatre date so had to hurry at the end. But I would go back.

Great Ambiance and Service
The resteraunt itself is beautiful. We had a great table by the window for two. Our server was incredibly helpful and our water was always full. There is free parking available on the street that is not advertised, but not on Tuesdays due to street cleaning. This is a great splurge place for a romantic night out.

What a find!
We made same-day reservations to celebrate our wedding anniversary last week. We chose it based on Open Table recommendations and we were not disappointed. The food and service were excellent. Our waiter, Zach, was great as was Chris, the "wine guy". Great wine list. Yummy homemade pasta (we shared the sage and brown butter ravioli). Good salads though I found the kale and garbanzo bean salad to be a bit heaver than I would have expected (more beans than kale. I had the branzino which was good, and my husband loved his NY strip steak. We sat outdoors which was lovely. There was live music inside so we were glad we were outside. Overall it was a pleasant surprise to have such an great experience and we will definitely go back.

Interesting from a hotel
Despite being a hotel restaurant, food is very interesting. Small but innovative menu. Italian, but not stuck with usual stuff. Halibut Milanese was terrific. Beautiful place, too.

Best brunch ever
The selection was outstanding at this brunch. Not only did they have the omelet and hot meat stations that most upscale brunches offer, but there is a fresh juice bar with an attendant who will make you a custom juice from any ingredients waiting ready to juice. (This guy was not really very helpful, hence the 4 stars for service). There is also very good fresh sushi, dim sum and at the dessert table a donut making machine- so fresh donuts with different topppings you can add, such as sprinkles, glaze, etc. The pastries were excellent, as one might expect at a Four Seasons. There is also a taco station, which was offering quesadillas and tacos with different fillings. Wow, still full two days later.

Modern Italian food, excellent
Modern Italian food, excellent service, really enjoyed to eat here every time.

It's at the Four Seasons, so guys have to wear pants. Just a heads up. Anyway, we had an incredible experience with Michael as our waiter. He recommended an excellent Pinot that was reasonably priced, along with recoomendations for our dinner and dessert. The vegetable sampler was delectable and I has the rustica salad that was a perfect entree size and exploded wih flavors. Please get the gelato! It's 3 different scoops of buttery soft flavors. We had PB&J, pistachio and fig &walnut, and all three were amazing! This was definitely one of the best dining experiences I have had in LA and the perfect place to go with another couple or group of people as the gardens are gorgeous and quiet enough that you can have a meaningful conversation.

Great any time!
Lovely for breakfast & lunch meetings. Fun for dinner with friends as well as late night dining and drinks. Food is great and service is superb.

The appetizers at Culina were
The appetizers at Culina were AMAZING. The peach, burrata, and prosciutto salad was unbelievable. All the flavors came together in a harmonious way. We did not try any of the entrees, because we ordered a bunch of appetizers and two pastas, so I can't speak to those. The pastas were good, but we definitely enjoyed the appetizers more. The service was excellent as well.

We had a romantic evening
We had a romantic evening at the restaurant. Everything was great beside the food. Only one item on the appetizer was really good. It was risotto balls with truffle sauce. The bruschetta was ok, nothing special. Kale salad had almost no kale. The prosciutto pizza was not good compared to other places, the meat was dry, no sauce to make it taste better, the endive were not good. Great place for drinks I would say.

terrific evening but dry halibut
another beautiful evening at culina. seated in the patio with attentive, understated service. branzino was rich and terrific; the halibut was too dry (but did not tell waiter wanted it moist). had yummy lambchops (they serve 2) and very good starters (crudo, rissotto balls and apricot salad)...the desert a little disappointing since the stone fruit was not ripe. all in all a good evening was had by all

This is a special restaurant.
This is a special restaurant. Generally, I would give it 10s straight across the board. However, our server appeared to be new. Fortunately, she had charm to spare. Expensive, but worth every penny.

Great restaurant! Food is superb....great to sit outside at night. Wine selection amazing with knowledgeable sommelier. Only thing I'm not a huge fan of are some of the waiters...they are not the most attentive for the price.
7/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
My husband and I went out to Culina for my birthday and loved it! Our server was Victor and he went above and beyond to make our experience a special one! His knowledge, professionalism, and personality was such a treat! We will be back!

Culina has it all.
We booked this reservation and made a special request for a quiet spot with lovely view. The request was honored but when we sat down there was a glare in our eyes. Staff was incredibly accommodating and moved us to another spot that was perfect. Our waitress Camilla was over the top in attending to our needs. Food and ambiance were wonderful. I highly recommend.

Everything was perfect! The place, the food, the service, the timming..! Now on top of my list for best italian restaurants in LA! :)

Normally hotel dining is "satisfactory" but rarely outstanding. My wife & I felt our meal was outstanding on all counts and are looking forward to a return visit. AND the menu didn't appear to be overpriced as many hotel menus are.
7/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
Memorable, creative, well done. Everything was impeccable. Will be back

Culina is Hot
Been here about six times now. It just never fails to perform at the top of the game. Cuisine is creative, delicious, beautifully presented. Love how they change up the menu. Wine director/sommelier was really helpful, knowledgeable and not pretentious. Michael, our server, was great. It was a fantastic dining experience.

love this place, esp. sitting outside for lunch. It's quitet and a great place for a special occasion
8/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great restaurant with an outstanding well-priced wine list, they will open almost any bottle and give you a 12 oz. pour. Prices are a good 20 % lower than at Lucques (which I dined at the next night). Wine steward is open to experimenting with your food and knowledgable.
8/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
First time Culina visit - cannot say enough about how well this restaurant has it together, and being in the business, my wife and I are typically hyper critical about reviews. Food, ambience, service - absolutely superb!
8/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
So what does 'smart casual' mean? Turns out it meaning... you cannot wear nice shorts and shirt and expect to get in for dinner mid-week. To their credit they tried to be accommodating and offered to 'lend' us pants that didn't fit. But in the end we were given a discreet table in the back of the restaurant that turned out for the best. We had a quiet room, a wonderful waiter and a great meal. Maybe Open Table should change their description from smart casual to dress code required and from a $$ to a $$$ rating.

I've lived next door to the Four Seasons for almost three years and had never been to Culina. Went with some people visiting from out of town and we all had a great time. Had to change my reservation about five times and Culina was more than accommodating. Service was excellent, as was the food. Highly suggest this place.

Stunning Sunday Brunch
While planning my visit Beverly Hills, I searched online for the best Sunday brunch in the area. My search led me to Culina. Even my driver stated that theirs was the place to go for Sunday brunch. I can happily report that I agree with all of the recommendations. Having had Sunday brunch in some of the best hotels across the country, I was floored with the selection at Culina. Others serve cold jumbo shrimp cocktail, Culina had cold jumbo shrimp three deliciously different ways. They didn't just serve sushi, they served incredibly fresh and premium quality sashimi. The carved prime rib was truly succulent, and the smoked salmon was some of the best I've ever had. Desserts looked beautiful, but I was too full to try any of it.

5 stars, all around.
Culina exceeded my expectations in every way. The venue was breathtaking, the food was delicious - and both were memorable. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful - top notch with sophistication and a far way from tacky. We chose to eat outdoors, and the ambiance of the fire flames and the black & white scenes projected onto the waterfall were the perfect compliment to the negroni in-hand. The service was great. The food was superb.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ****
My husband and I went to Culina for dinner last weekend. And truth be told, I didn't know what to expect from a restaurant that's part of a hotel, even if the hotel is the Four Seasons. But my prejudices turned out to be completely unfounded.
Culina is a lovely restaurant with a great outside dining space, good service and a menu with a variety of options
The Wagyu meatballs from the appetizers were AMAZING. My husband and I thought that the chef could just throw some pasta with the meatballs and it would be the perfect spaghetti. But perhaps that wouldn't be very inventive ;-)
I would highly recommend this restaurant to all, and look forward to returning to try more.

Fabulous time here. Pays to
Fabulous time here. Pays to come early as by midday it started to become hectic and noisy, with large families and groups. Food was amazing best I have tasted. Would definitely come back and recommend.

A Stately Find
This is a hotel restaurant, to be sure, but luckily it's attached to a great hotel. Every staff member we encountered was sweet and enthusiastic. Victor, our waiter, was a gem -- a professional with charm and calm presence. The scallops from the crudo bar were insane. Ditto the meatballs. The atmosphere is comfortable and refined -- nothing hip about the place, but that's not the point here.

Good food, good service
Very nice selection. The wait staff was helpful and courteous and welcoming. The service was unhurried, which we really appreciated - gave us a chance to enjoy our meal.

The wine director, Chris Bradford, selected an excellent wine that paired perfectly with both our dishes. Overall, we always have a spectaular dining experience at Culina!

A Modern Italian Gem.
Great food, but even better service. My husband and I thought our waiter was an absolute delight and definitely felt pampered. Lastly, considering all aspects of the restaurant overall, and its location, the prices are quite reasonable in comparison to other upscale restaurants in the LA area. I had a great experience and would definitely love to go again.

Beautiful atmosphere, delicious
Located at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills this restaurant is the perfect getaway for a romantic dinner or chill evening away from the noise of LA. Portion sizes are smaller so there is plenty of room to try various items. The indoor seating area is noisier and livelier, but the outside patios are absolutely beautiful and well heated in colder weather. Food was amazing but the service was just so-so.
10/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
Four Seasons Restaurant
The food and ambiance were great. We sat inside but looked like the outdoor area would be quite nice especially during the day. I wasn't quite blown away for the standards of a four seasons hotel but no complaints.

A new favorite found!
I spent two weeks traveling throughout California dining out for every meal. Culina was the most memorable. While the one page menu may seem small, the food is amazing - you cannot go wrong. I recommend the sausage appetizer as a must. The ambiance and decor is relaxing, intimate, and inviting. The service is excellent.

Best steak I've had in years!
I got the 16oz Filet, and really it was the best steak I've had in years.

Excellent service and amazing food
Michael our server outshone our food. He was engaging and informative without an arrogant attitude. Even the 2 female greeters were extremely helpful and pleasant to talk too. Excellent staff. The food was well prepared. Our steak was cooked to perfection unfortunately we couldn't taste the Gorgonzola with the dish. Overall our entire evening was memorable.
10/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
Lovely spot for dinner, the decor is clean and elegant. Super booths! Wine list has unique feature of "half" bottles of almost all of the wines. The wine steward was very helpful. Food was delicious. We took advantage of a great deal through TravelZoo but I will go back at full price, it is worth it. Highly recommended.
10/23/2013 5:00:00 PM
Dined at Culina for our anniversary and had the Travelzoo tasting menu w/ wine pairings. Food was excellent, wine was amazing and service was outstanding! Half way through our five course dinner, chef cane out and introduced herself. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. If you can get the travelzoo voucher it's a great deal and great value for your money.

Dinner at Culina
That was my third time at Culina recently. I requested a booth and was given a booth which was great. Excellent service by MICHAEL, he is professional, warm, witty, and charming.
We both enjoyed the seared scallops, there should have been 3 instead of 2.
The NY steak was good, a bit too grisly, and it could have been larger. it did not look more than 10 oz.
I am very particular about food, and these are pointers that will elevate your food quality.
having said all that , I will be back. Please bring back the porterhouse steak and the Stratiacella soup, those were classics.
thanks, Dr. Joseph Boodaghi

Wonderful atmosphere and meal
I made a reservation based on other Yelp reviews. We were a party of five including my two college age daughters and one of their friends. We were warmly greeted and our server was knowledgeable, friendly and very professional. The restaurant was warm and balance of elegant and trendy. We had a table near the bar. Everyone in our party had a different choice for started and entree and we all enjoyed our meals. The plating was elegant and the food was very good...not delicious, but very good. For a party of five with a starter, entree, dessert and wine, the bill was approximately $300. All in all, a very nice meal and I would gladly return.

very nice experience - great food, ambiance and good service. food came quickly yet we were not rushed at all. everything that came out was well-prepared.
11/2/2013 5:00:00 PM
Excellent setting within the Four Seasons Hotel. We were seated at a patio table withspace heaters nearby...making it very comfortable. The food was excellent and the attention from Robert was exceptional. The entree was a bit slow in arriving but not enough to bother anyone. All in all a great evening...
11/15/2013 4:00:00 PM
From the moment we arrived we were treated like valued guests. Every detail was well thought out and executed. The well thought out 5 course tasting menu was an excellent value. Our well trained and charming server made our experience very special. He knew the preparations and was well versed in the wine and cocktail menu. The waygu meatballs are not to be missed and the grilled octopus was certainly our favorite. The highlight for both of us was the beautiful branzino that was prepared exactly as it should be. WIth many choices in BH, there is a reason why Culina is one of the best, the chef and staff create a unique dining experience and we can't wait to return. Kudos to the hostess who was kind & welcoming, thank you.

Great Locale for Business Lunches
I've twice had business meetings here and cannot recommend it highly enough. The food is exceptional, the service is outstanding, and the atmosphere is business-friendly yet bright. Would happily take a corner booth and hole up half the day with my laptop if I could - and they also have an excellent fresh juice bar with juices made to order. Definitely will be back.

Thanksgiving Buffet 2013
I live far from my family so I wanted to enjoy a fine Thanksgiving buffet-style meal. I saw the offerings for Culina at the Four Seasons Hotel and made a reservation. I'm new to Los Angeles and didn't know about the four Seasons or about Culina. I was greatly pleased with how I was treated even when I had to move my reservation due to my work hours. The staff member on the phone, Jeanine, was very polite, understanding and helpful. The buffet offered was varied and plentiful. The quality of the food and the preparation were exquisite. Each of the food service star were very happy and willing to satisfy the guests. My friendly waiter was very attentive. I would recommend Culina to anyone who wants a quality fine dining experience.

Our server Victor was nothing but outstanding. Please ask for him if you happen to visit this restaurant.

Best Brunch ever!
This was an excellent brunch. Very pricey, but worth every penny for the service and exquisite dishes they serve up at this five star hotel. It's a special occasion affair all the way. Even if the special affair is only that you got a great table! See and be seen. Enjoy the service. Our waitress joked that many people walk in and need to get rolled out by the time they leave. It's hard to say no to the countless choices of food and drink. I highly recommend this place.
