In from out of town and picked this from Open Table list. Menu was interesting with options for everyone in our group. Server was friendly, knowledgable and gave helpful tips. Food was outstanding, starting with dipping sauces for the bread, including a beet dip. Wine list was somewhat small, but a nice selection and offered both full glasses and small pours for tasting. Entrees were excellent, well prepared and thoughtful little twists. And the view from the patio was camera worthy. Highly recommend this little gem.

Perfect Happy Hour!
Had a reservation at 6PM on a Sat (happy hour ends at 6:30). Most of the small plates are on the HH menu for $8 (normally $9-$14). We had the warm goat cheese salad w/roasted beets (so good!, the mussels with chorizo (spicy good), the shrimp and grits w/fried egg (good but could have used a bit of spice) & the braised goat with red pepper paperadelle (unique!). Also had a glass of red & white wine ($5/ea) and 2 glasses of beer ($3/each). Ended the night off of the HH menu w/the lemon lime custard (sweet goodness) and a peach pastry (yum!). We were pleasantly full and happy with the service. Total bill came in under $75 before tip. I would definitely recommend Vin 48 for happy hour (or dinner) if you're in the Avon area!

We enjoyed a quiet, relaxing
We enjoyed a quiet, relaxing dinner after my husband completed Day 1 of the Triple Bypass. Our server was great at offering suggestions on wine, food and dessert. We thought it was all delicious! And we love the open air patio that leads indoors (where you are inside, but feel like you're sitting outdoors).

Came for wine - stayed for food
We stopped by on a recommendation from a friend - looking for some appetizers and a broad selections of wine. We ended up staying for dinner and were very impressed with the food quality and preparation. Only disappointment was running out of the "special" very early in the evening - a very nicely prepared Walleye - we were able to get one of the three our table ordered but it was fabulous. Greal local gem that gave us a break from the resort restaurants.

I made a reservation here for our first evening of vacation and I am so glad I did. It was the perfect spot to take in the scenery and enjoy a relaxing evening of first rate food and wine. Our server, Brad, was attentive but not hovering. He had some great menu selections and we enjoyed every one - especially the goat which you rarely find on a menu. We also enjoyed a nice flight of wines - 2 or 3 oz. of three different wonderful wines. It's a great way to sample something new to you. We sat outside on their patio area and had a terrific view of the pedestrians, the nightlife and oh, did I mention the mountains?? Definately give this place a try - the little plates menu is one of my favorite things.

Loved every bite, and good value
The best: goat dish w/cheese, wide noodles, delicious broth/sauce - blew our minds. A serious food experience. We savored every bite & sip of recommended wine.
Also: mussels (very delicious); scallops (good); bruschetta (4 small pcs); frozen chocolate mousse with (get this) chocolate corn flakes and mini malted milk balls - but it worked nicely!
including wine, the bill came to $121 - quite reasonable for a fabulous meal. We hope to return to try some of the things we were afraid of, like pork cheeks, or tongue. But after that goat, I would totally eat tongue or cheeks or whatever else they have on the menu!
Many are saying the service is slow but we enjoyed the leisurely pace that allowed us to savor & enjoy each dish on its own.

Fun meal and evening.
We really enjoyed the tapas format. Everything was delicious, especially the scallops and mushroom dishes. Our waitress helped us pick a wonderful Nebbiolo which went beautifully with all of our dishes. Great evening.

Had an absolutely wonderful meal; great combination of flavors. I had the braised goat on recommendation from other sites and it did not disappoint: flavorful, tender, and perfect! Wine tasting portion was ideal and dessert was excellent.
