delicious, beautiful meal
We love nights at the elephant walk. Always I meal I look forward to. Fresh, unique, exquisite, and delicious. As someone how dines out quite frequently, I'm very critical of restaurants - Elephant Walk is definitely in my top 5 favorites in the city!

Consistent & Delicious
I've been to this location of The Elephant Walk 3 or 4 times, and every visit has been fantastic. The servers are always very well spoken and welcoming, and the food is always excellent. The menu is interesting and can often intimidate the unfamiliar diner... So don't be shy and ask questions, the servers are very helpful. The truth is, you can't go wrong with anything.... It's all delicious.
The fixed price menu is a great way to sample both the Cambodian and French elements, and it helps keep you focused on a smaller sample of the menu, which is helpful in making a decision.
I would highly recommend the Elephant Walk for a great meal and something a little bit different than what you're used to.

Stepped out of our Norm
We chose to spend our anniversary trying something out of the ordinary for us and were very happy that we did. The Nataing was outstanding and while we decided to go with the french menu for our entrees, considering how delicious those were, I'm sure the Cambodian entrees are to die for as well. Overall it was a great dining experience.

Will be returning
My boyfriend and I ate dinner at Elephant Walk a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed it! The menu was huge, and there were so many awesome options. We had the mussels special and the meat spring rolls to start, and enjoyed both dishes! I had the roasted chicken over the French menu, and he had the salmon. The chicken was cooked perfectly, moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. We will be returning!

I love Elwphant Walk's menu. Never yet disappointed with a meal and the prices are quite reasonable.

I was blown away by how good
I was blown away by how good the food here was. I would recommend getting the Chef's Prix Fixe Special. Everything is outstanding: shrimp wontons, duck crepes, flounder doughnuts. There is no other restaurant like this. I did think their long menu was a little overwhelming, but I love that they have a vegan menu AND a gluten-free menu, rather than just a couple alternatives.

Love this place!
Food is always on the spot. I tend to go for the Cambodian menu. My favorite starters are the nataing and the duck crepe. so yummy! They also offer a prix fixe menu which I have done before and is a good deal. The beef short ribs, cubed tenderloin, amok royal are excellent. Not a fan of the fermented black rice in the dessert trio though. This is a great place for a date night or dinner with friends.

Really good food
We went here in a group of 4, having made a reservation didn't have to wait. The food came out and was delicious - we ordered 2 apps and 3 dishes, and I walked out satisfied, but not stuffed. Would like to come back and try some more dishes.

Food was delicious
We arrived at the Elephant walk and were quickly seated two a little table for two. We started with the 3 course menu ; the Rouleaux were crispy and delicious, the Mussels were delicious, the broth different than the typical wine or red, was in a sweet savory broth. For entrees I had the Filet De Thon Saisi Aux Deux Coulis Pimentés, a tuna steak lightly seared and served with a very rich red and chili cream sauce and my husband had the Poulet - served with a bread pudding. All of our food was amazing. Everything perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and so delicious. We will return.

I have been here about 5 times now and Elephant Walk never ceases to impress me. The food is always exceptional, well balanced, and expertly seasoned. Their cocktail menu is also always intriguing and it changes often.

French Cambodian Deliciousness
I've never had Cambodian food and Elephant Walk has a great exhaustive menu. The nataing (appetizer) is incredible. Great for a date and food exploration.

Offers the variety of tastes
Selected to please potential different tastes of diners, and successful in doing it.

great food for moderate prices
We really enjoyed our meal here. I particularly recommend the cold avocado soup and the tofu with grilled veggies in a curry sauce.
8/3/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great but service was not the best
I think that the restaurant was over booked because service was hurried and took a long time to see us. I would still highly recommend this place, the food is ALWAYS amazing!

Nice, easy place for family meal
We had a nice dinner at Elephant Walk with kids ranging from 6-18 and everyone found something they really wanted to eat on the menu. I like that there's a good feeling of space in the dining rooms - a lot of tables but doesn't feel cramped.
8/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great service, beautiful decor
The service and ambience were phenomenal. The dishes ordered by my other family members were delicious. However, I was very disappointed in my dish. I ordered the Crevettes Amrita and was craving a few vegetables in the sauce but all it had was a huge amount of button mushrooms, onion and scallions. Who's going to eat all that onion and scallion? Other than the shrimp, the dish was not edible. I think the chef needs to rethink this dish! My advice to the chef would be to go easy on the onions and scallions, and add other types of vegetables, please! The same comment applies to the lemongrass chicken (ordered by my daughter).
8/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
East meat west
Their fusion of French and Cambodian is interesting and delicious.
8/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
best restaurant in the neighborhood
diverse menu of Cambodian And French inspired cuisine. There also are gluten free and Vegan choices as well.

Elephant walk did not disappoint
Elephant walk did not disappoint again. A unique menu that lived up to its descriptions. They even offered restaurant week menu and pricing before restaurant week. A great surprise. Service was fabulous!

A favorite in Boston
I have been a fan of Elephant Walk since dining there while my daughter attended college in Boston. Still very good 13 years later!

Like this restaurant a lot.
Like this restaurant a lot. Appetizers were great. Pork Tenderloin was great as wewre the mussels.
8/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
We just moved into town. Yelp helped us find this place. It is officially one of our top 5 in Boston now. Loved the food, expereince, healthy style options, so many meat and veggie options, and a pallet perfectly designed during a 4 course during Restaurant Week.
8/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
Lovely atmosphere and wide selectio
Perfect for dining with dietary restrictions / vegetarian / vegan. Great, light, romantic atmosphere with fairly attentive but hands-off service -- good for conversation and a lengthy meal. We went during restaurant week and sampled some delicious items including a few fish dishes for the main entree, yummy desserts, and delicious spring rolls as an appetizer. The wine selection was phenomenal.
8/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
After having been there two weeks prior (a very good experience) a friend suggested we go. We didn't realize it was restaurant week, but did end up ordering from the menu, once I realized the trout was absent from the new menu. The peach salad was just okay; peaches weren't flavorful; but the mussels were extraordinary; the broth was fabulous. I thoroughly enjoyed the cod in a fragrant broth. We shared the passion fruit mousse which was amazing. Highly recommend.
8/30/2013 12:00:00 AM
We've frequented Elephant Walk in Boston a handful of times and have always enjoyed our experience. Our waiter was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious as usual. The restaurant offers a three & four course meal which is very reasonable - just make sure to leave room for dessert!

We both had the fixed price menu and enjoyed our selections.

the food here is great. the seared tuna is my favorite dish in boston. my girlfriend loves the cubed beef. they also have that citrus avacado soup that is incredible. the service is always a bit slow here, they are nice and know the menu but they always seem short staffed.
9/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
Consistent food quality and service
This is the place in Boston to get French Cambodian food. I have been here many times before for dinner, but this is my first lunch. Lunch reservations on a weekday were not difficult to get, and the food was excellent. I especially recommend the Cambodian salad, with cabbage, shredded chicken, and vegetables in a lime vinaigrette. Not a salad you will find elsewhere, but also healthy if watching calories. The service is excellent--always there when you need them, never hovering when you don't. And if there is no Sox game, then one can also use the parking lot behind the restaurant (although I found street parking.) Lunch also has a 20 dollar prix fixe menu, so I may come back for a longer meal at a great price with my husband.

Cambodian dishes were excelptional.
Cambodian dishes were excelptional. Flavor popping! Very good value for such good food too.

My favorite restaurant in the South Campus (of BU) area. Been here for dinner as well as lunch, and am always pleased with the combination of flavors as well as the staff. Not too pricy, great for a lunch with an old friend or even a nice celebratory dinner!
9/29/2013 12:00:00 AM
I am a student living in Boston and Elephant Walk is somewhere I love to take family when they visit. The food is extremely good and extremely vegetarian/vegan friendly. While I take family members for a nice dinner, Elephant Walk would certainly be a great choice for professional dinners or for couples. Highly recommend the spring rolls (I had the vegan version) and dessert is an absolute must (I get the chocolate caramel tart every time!).
10/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
I last ate here 20 years ago when I lived in Brookline and was most impressed by the experience. I now live abroad and was passing through Boston so I decided to try the restaurant again. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the quality of food, service, and ambience was undiminished. It is rare to find a restaurant that can live up to its previous high reputation 20 years later despite turnovers of chefs. Outstanding.
10/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
We got seated and it seems to take a et someone to come ask us what we want to drink. But after the waiter came, the rest is quite fast;the food is good and interesting.
10/18/2013 12:00:00 AM
dinner before the game
My husband and I went for an early dinner before going to the Red Sox clinching game six. Our waitress was fabulous, both in recommending how the food should come and in getting us out on time. We ordered four dishes, three appetizers and the noodle salad. She served the mussels and spring rolls first. Both were delicious and plenty big enough to split. Then came the duck crepe and noodle salad. Both big hits. Left for the game feeling satisfied but not like a blob. They also validated parking at a lot up the street which was a big bonus on game night.Highly recommend.
10/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
We eat at Elephant Walk every month or six weeks, often with friends and family, and are never disappointed. The mix of French and Cambodian choices is always interesting, unfailingly well prepared, and served by competent and pleasant waitstaff. They are also superb about responding to food-allergy related questions. What's not to like?
10/22/2013 12:00:00 AM
Godd foos ,the crepe duck was delicous.
sevice was slow ,but the food madre up for it.
10/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
the food was amazing; we were using a gift certificate and splurged a little and sampled a lot. definitely recommend the mussels as an appetizer--cooked perfectly and the broth was amazingly light and full of flavor (good enough that my husband and I each ate almost 1/2 loaf of bread soaking up the remaining broth). the short rib entree was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the noodle dish was fantastic. we did only order from the "Cambodian" entrees, but the French side looked great, too. Wine and martini's were good. the coffee dessert hit the spot after a great meal. service was friendly, but a bit on the slow side...wasn't a problem as we were in no rush.

We had a wonderful experience at the Elephant Walk. My wife has a gluten allergy as well as a couple of more food allergies and The Elephant Walk was incredibly accomodating. The food was simply marvelous. We both went with the Fixed Menu as there were plenty of options for gluten free items. The flavors were spectacular in all of the dishes. But what we found to be absolutely superior about the Elephant Walk was the service. Our waitress could not have been friendlier and more engaged in our concerns about the food. She double checked on everything with the kitchen and even told my wife what on my plate she could not eat. This was one of the best dining experiences we have had in while

this is our second time at elephant walk, and we are never disappointed. the food is always good, service is outstanding.

The food was fantastic. It is nice to have something that tastes great but isn't like every other restaurant. I highly recommend the mussels appetizer.

I had heard good things about Elephant Walk but had yet to go, so I booked it for a party of 6 for a birthday. I found it to be spacious, cozy and private. We were well attended to by both the waitstaff and the hosts. The prix fixe menu is a steal-I had the Nataing and the Tuna-both were excellent. Recommend!
11/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
The menu has French and Cambodian
The menu has French and Cambodian sections and deciding among all the delicious options was difficult. The waiter helped decide as they knew the menu very well. Very good fusion restaurant.

Good first experience
Good food, service was a little slow but better than being rushed, food was great!

An overall very good experience
My friends, partner and I took my 17 year old sister out as a belated birthday gift, and we loved the food. We just went for entrees because we had already decided to go elsewhere for dessert. Lighting was a bit dark, but I knew it was just for ambiance. The menu was simple enough to understand. Server was helpful with pronouncing some of the dishes as some of its origins are Cambodian/Khmer. She was also courteous to give us time to think about our choices. Food was a great twist to some traditional Cambodian/Khmer dishes. Overall, a good experience by all of us.

A hidden gem on Beacon near BU
Another wonderful meal at Elephant Walk. Our party enjoyed the cabbage salad and mussels as starters. The mussels were superb - flavorful and served in a delicious broth. The cabbage salad was flavorful (and not dominated by the dressing). The Quinoa lasagna was excellent - very filling and surrounded by a tangy red sauce. The Cambodian noodle special was a large portion with an array of delicious flavors from the vegetables. The sweet tangy chicken and rice had a nice complement of flavors from the basil, pineapple and lemongrass. A wonderful meal for which we plan to return again.

Walk to the Elephant!
Always a great meal at Elephant Walk - the food is fresh and flavorful and the service is spot-on.

Our favorite upscale restaurant
We've been here a number of times and always have a good experience - even when using a discount coupon. The food and service are both excellent and, if you go early, the noise level is moderate.

Great food! Ok service
The food as usual was amazing! We only had typical cambodian food, because we came for that. We didn't want to go for the French food, although I'm sure it is as excellent as the cambodian food.
The waitress gave us a good service, but was not super enthusiast. We were excepting more of an enthusiast person I guess. Maybe it was a long day. Other than that, the ambiance was amazing, and they even sell a recipe book, which we wanted to buy, but forgot to buy in the end.
Amazing restaurant to go to!
Loved it, both times I went.
