A must visit!
Food was amazing! Service was excellent. The decor is not so great. Feels more like dated French country instead of Paris which the name would imply. Our server said they will be completely redesigning the interior to be more modern and contemporary to better match the food, the name and attract a younger hipper crowd.

Great food - great wines! N
If they are not too busy, ask for the Lobster Gratinee. A secret not on the menu known only by old time locals.

I've lived in the Vail Valley
I've lived in the Vail Valley since 1976 and The Left Bank has always provided excellent food as well as fantastic service in a beautiful setting. They have a huge wine list featuring hundreds of delicious French wines. The 4 of us all ordered different entrees and everything was fresh and delicious, including the raw oysters that were some of the tastiest I've ever had. One of Vail Valley's best and most "famous" dining establishments, not to be missed on your next trip to Vail!

Wonderful meal with a peaceful,view
Had such a wonderful meal here! The speciality of the house an amazing shrimp dish, was outstanding. It has been on the menu for 45 years! Our server was so sweet and attentive. We could not make up our mind about dessert so ordered both chocolate and Grande Marne soufflés and the pear tart. All three were "lick your plate clean" good. The wine by the glass was excellent, too. By the way, try to get a table by the windows…the view is gorgeous!

Traditional French still great
The Left Bank is one of my favorite restaurants in Vail and in Colorado because it always uses high quality ingredients and consitently creates delicious, traditional French food. This last time, I don't think we got the A team in terms of service, but since it is off season, it didn't bother me at all.

Gem in the heart of Vail!
Everything about the Left Bank is
superb! The quiet ambiance, the best of
French cuisine prepared to perfection,
and service beautifully executed! I
cannot say enough about how fantastic
this dining experience has been for us,
for many Jeanyears!

Left Bank offers the most spectacular French food this side of Paris. The French onion soup and the Tomato basil with the pastry top are both out of this world. The peppercorn sause on the steak is out of this world. The souffle is the best ever. Kimberly, the host owner makes you feel so welcome and her husband, the sou-chef makes the evening the best ever with food you will remember forever. We always make this restaurant a "must visit" when we come to the Vail valley.

A Classic in Vail
Such a wonderful classic with the best food. Really appreciate a restaurant with noise level in which you can carry on a conversation. Will be back.

Wonderful food & service!
Our appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts were great and the service was absolutely outstanding. Our servers went above and beyond the call of duty in handling an allergy, and were very sincere and friendly. The food was to die for! The lobster bisque was heavenly but all the food was wonderful. We could not have had a better meal or better service. I would highly recommend the Left Bank for a special occasion meal or just a wonderful meal for someone vacationing in Vail or a local! The only thing lacking at all is that the restaurant is closed on Sundays and there is no outdoor seating.

Where I have been the last 9 years
I've lived in the Vail Valley for almost 9 years and have been to almost every restaurant there is. I had heard about Left Bank but never went until the other night. This restaurant is what you would expect when you hear fine dining. I really enjoyed the food. The bouillabaise was incredible and everything else I tasted was 5 star. The duck and filet were both great and the lobster bisque was like nothing I had ever tasted. Def. recommend this restaurant to the guest/local that doesnt need to be at the newest (loudest) restaurant and have time to sit down and enjoy a good meal.

Old World Charm with Modern Menu
The service is always impeccable, there is an extensive menu, and the food is cooked to perfection.

An evening at the Bank
The Left Bank coninues to offer high end French food that is excellently prepared and served. Its expensive but worth it. Four of went there recently and all had uniformorly high compliments on the food. The Sole with mushrooms was heavenly-as good as I have had anywhere. The fact the Chef (and owner) picks the mushrooms by hand on the mountain adds a unique Vail touch to the dish. The only negative is the old fashioned bistro decor that seems to have changed only slightly in the last 30 years. This is not a French bistro and the decor needs updating to be lighter and more in tune with the classic French cuisine.

Fabulous food. Decor outdated
This is a great, one of the best in Vail - French restaurant.
A good interior decorator can give the place a current look.

Elegant French Experience
Terrific selection of interesting and innovative appetizers, soups and salads. Broad selection of meat and seafood main courses. Everything we had was delicious followed by dessert as only the French can prepare it. Expensive, but worth it.

Consistently the best
The Left Bank continues to be our favorite restaurant in Vail. Best food, service and value in the town of Vail.

Great for a special occasion
My husband and I went for my birthday dinner, and I was not disappointed. The service was great, and the whole dinning experience exceeded my expectations. The salmon and California sea bass (the special for the evening) were prepared just right. The sides that came with the main course were wonderful fresh garden vegetables. The potato side dish was different for each and perfectly paired.

Again and again, The Left Bank is a special Vail dining experience. The reliability of good food, service and wine makes this a secure choice when dining in Vail.
